      Is this surcharge TO the cruise terminal regardless of from where you are coming from? Even directly from the airport?

      @@judyliu5223 the surcharge, now applying to trips both FROM and TO the terminal, applies regardless of where you come from. The exception is the airport ride which, as explained in the video, is subject to a fixed fare (about to increase in 2024).

    Thank you for the information. Our cab driver last Oct did charge us the surcharge for travel to the port and we tipped him as well. We are going again this coming Nov and now we will know better. :o(

We will be in Barcelona for two days before our cruise and have already elected for a private transport to take us to the cruise terminal on embarkation day.

      @@ddg874 We're staying at the Intercontinental Barcelona. I haven't selected the private ground transport yet, but there doesn't seem to be a shortage so I plan to book that in the April/May timeframe.

      Thank you! The background music is at 1%, can't be lower than that. On a computer you can't hardly hear it but I've noticed its sound is much more noticeable if you are listening to the video with headphones. Is that your case?

    Thank you for your video it helps ease my comfort level. I will be going on a cruise this summer and just trying to decide on a hotel still and plan to pick out a hotel to stay a couple days before the ship leaves to do some sightseeing. Would it be best to get a taxi from the airport to my hotel or take a train? I see that the trains seem to run around the clock

    Tony, This past summer, I spent over seven weeks traveling around the Iberian peninsula, Spain and Portugal. There are many tile, cobblestone, or rough sidewalks in many city centers. Do you have a recommendation for luggage that has wheels that can handle being pulled on these surfaces? Ed

      Hi Ed, not really, the choice of a suitcase is a very personal one. The better the quality, the longer the wheels will stand rough terrain. Cobblestones will always be a nuisance no matter the model you buy.

      Hi there, there shouldn't be any problem, as you will disembark from the RC early in the morning and you will only be allowed to embark on the MSC cruise a few hours later. Your main issue might be where to wait in between cruise ships.

      Hi there, the cruise ship will always try to sell you their outrageously overpriced products. There are always taxis waiting for cruise passengers, but as you will understand, it's a huge amount of people disembarking simultaneously and delays are meant to happen. All the best.

      Hello, as shown on the video, there are taxis waiting for passengers right outside the terminals. You will have to look for an adapted taxi that can accommodate your wheelchair. If there are none at the terminal, one of the taxi drivers can request one.

    Thanks for the great information. I had a very poor experience getting to the Barcelona airport a few years ago. The driver tried to charge 80 euros and he had turned the meter off before pulling in and the fee was just over 20 euros. When I flagged a police officer, the driver accepted my payment!

      Yes, you can take the blue bus, it will be waiting for you outside the terminal.

    Here's a tip if one has multiple days available to stay in Barcelona. Book an Airbnb or something similar close to the cruise terminals, become familiar with the area while staying there, then walk or take the cheapest transportation to the cruise terminals. As usual, it always helps to pack lightly while traveling.

    Hello Sir, I travel by car to Barcelona to go on cruise with MSC. I booked the car parking with MSC. The location is Mole 18 A, it s where the cruise buses depart. But my question is which entrance or what parking to I have to choose once I arrive at Mole 18? Thanks

      Hi Dee, at Muntaner you will take a train (not the metro) to Plaça de Catalunya, where you will take the metro green line to Drassanes. If you pay with a ticket such as T-casual, you will only use one credit for the trip. But if you buy single tickets, you will have to buy a single train ticket and a single metro ticket.

      New laws just passed have rendered Uber's activity in Barcelona anything but useless. Stick to taxis to avoid problems.

      A top end hotel might offer them, at a hefty price, but in the case of Barcelona it is an unusual request, taxis are the way to go.

      @@Aes_83 hello, the check-in/check-out time changes a lot from one hotel to another, but check in is usually between 13h and 15h and check out between 11h and 12h. The vast majority of hotels will keep the luggage for you, free of charge.

      We've never understood TH-camrs that don't engage with their viewers. If the channel is too big, surely the guy is making enough money to pay someone to take care of the followers of the channel. To me, the followers are one of our greatest assets and, within our limitations, we attempt to look after them. All the best!

      There will be taxis, you might have to queue and wait, but there are always taxis waiting for arriving passengers.
