How to make the best flaky meat pie - easy recipe

- Hello lovelies welcome back to my channel, in today’s video I will be teaching you how to make meat pie with a easy to follow method and recipe
The ingredients used are
Flour 500g
Butter250g (unsalted)
Milk 1 cup (cold)
Egg 1
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Ground beef 200g
Onions
Ginger
Garlic
Chicken bouillon
Salt
In a bowl measure and swift your flour and add all the dry ingredients then mix cold butter and use had to crumble till flaky ( do this gently) . Then mix together cold milk and egg and add to the flour mixture. Incorporate gently do not over work the dough. Allow to rest in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
The filling
In a saucepan put little oil in the pan sauce onion then add the ground beef on a medium heat. Allow to cook for some minutes add ginger, garlic and other seasonings carrot and potatoes. Add some water and allow to cook till it’s tender on medium heat for 20-30 minutes. Make a slurry with corn starch or add all purpose flour to bind the meat . Allow to cool before filling the dough .
Filling
Cut the cold dough in small and roll flat but not too thin. Scoop the filling and mould as seen in the video. If you don’t have meat pie cutter you can use a round plate and seal with fork
Baking
Egg wash the meat pie and bake at 375F for 20-30 minutes depending on your oven
