This is probably the most poly-economical method I’ve seen so far. Other methods may give a more realistic result, but for most projects, this will get the job done!
Most likely the verticies didnt merge with each other. Go to editor-mode, select all with "A", go to "Mesh", then to "Clean up" and finally to "merge by distance". This should do the trick and now try CTRL+B :D
This is a great tutorial thank you, I'm making an animated film and needed a low poly tyre for the car I'm making. I really appreciate you sharing this method, it's great, thank you.
@@kloa4219 it should have as less edges as possible because it is the main purpose of baking - minimum of geometry with maximum fake details of normal map 😎
Hello pal: thanks for taking the time to explain, I find this post very useful and appreciate your dedication. I have a problem that I can't solve: everything is fine until I chamfer and extrude the longitudinal lines that correspond to the diameter, however, when I want to chamfer the radials and extrude them, the mesh does some very strange things. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Again, thanks for your time.
I really like tis video I had to do mine over again cause my computer crashed and I forget to save I had it looking good to oh well at least this style doesn't take as long
Good but next time you make a tutorial mention the shortcuts you're using, it would be impossible for someone to follow you if you don't do so. Stuff like extruding towards the center, I mean it took me a while to understand what you did there. Or... reply at the comments asking for answers.

Im glad tou found this useful
I didn’t think this was real when I saw 4 minutes. I just completed my own for my car model using this tutorial. This was so effective!👏🏽
I was amazed of how easy you did it! You must be a professional!
I thought making a tire would be much more complicated, thank you very much!
3:36 after SMOOTH you can go to Object Properties => Normals => Auto Smooth set to true
Thats was way easier than i Thought!
best 3d tire tutorial in human history, fast and simple
THIS IS THE BEST METHOD FOR TYRES THANK YOU SIR
1:02, CTRL + B didn't work for me, pls help.

Hi, I'm having issues figuring out what you did at 1:02. It says CTRL-B but mine seems to activate something else. I haven't modified keybinds.
@PROJECT_7T7 @Broque Thomas im having the same problem, I did CTRL + B and then did V but it didn't do what it was supposed to do.
Brilliantly simple and simply brilliant. Thank you!
looks nice, I'm about to make one for my tire library
I suggest you also explain the shortcut, like having to press E I don't know how to do that but after 3 months I just found out I have to press E
@0:50 what did you do? I can't get the two circles to connect like that
I like your method, simple yet elegant!
plz make the 2nd parts and working with the material things! this tutorial is awesome
Great video!!!
Fantastic! Thank you so much
For those who might be having trouble with 1:02 try clicking on that Y viewpoint located at the top right and then do CTRL + B.

You never fail to surprise me!

It's not a low poly model
@@sandeepraj5361 Yep, unfortunately, I stand corrected, ha ha, I realised this as the build went on.
@@unexplainedoccurrences sorry for wrong writing. English is not my native language
@@sandeepraj5361 Hey, it's all good man, hope you're having a nice day.
I guess 3d is all about solving things the smart and easy way.
In order to make it a game ready tire, do we bake it onto a beveled cylinder?
Yeah you can bake it for a game asset
@@Luwizart Awesome! So the type of model we should bake it on should be on this model, right? 1:04
Or do we dissolve edges beforehand?
@@kloa4219 i will make a tutorial for that

I don't quite get it how do you "bake" once baked all you gotta do is uv unwrapped the image to a cylinder or something ?

2:35 i get some face problems
I cannot figure out what you clicked at :40 where it filled in the tire. i'm brand new to this and very frustrated so far!
You can add the object based on the view no need to rotate😁

how do i make the tire connect like you did?
Mirror modifier and then extrude to that direction the other vertices are. Also turn on clipping
Can you please tell me that where did you find the rubber texture?
THANKS!!!!!
