I managed to get some 3mg Piping Rock Triple Action Boron Complex tablets (they're tiny) from the USA 🇺🇸 and have been taking 3 x 3mg per day for last few weeks. They certainly seems to be helping the healing process on my right knee which after 3 months since watching your "Growing My Hip Back" video, I'd say feels 80% better 👍😀 I certainly, won't be eating carbs/sugar anytime soon.
I take 3 mg of Boron daily with K2 and D3 (have a high D3 count). I went to the dentist recently and she told me that my teeth are very strong (for my age). Strong bones=strong teeth!
Boron deficiency is prevalent in many soils particularly vast areas within Australia, resulting in the need for supplementation in crops, livestock and humans.
When I was heavily involved in soil remineralization as part of growing grassfed lambs, boron was always recommended for our pasture. Every year, our soil analysis would indicate about one part per million in the soil. Every year the application recommendation was only five pounds per acre! That's how "trace" it is! Folks in the "remineralization community" used to say, "If Calcium is the truck, Boron is the driver." Unless things have changed, there is no US Recommended Daily Intake for boron, which is probably why it is so obscure as a nutrient. There was a researcher working at the USDA then, who had determined that 2 mg of boron daily prevented women from secreting excess calcium through the urine. I've been taking it for years, though it hasn't prevented osteopenia all by itself. But I'm seriously working on reversing that process now without drugs. There's a lot to know, to avoid the pitfalls of "maturity". We still have our garden soil analyzed every year and apply about 12 minerals as recommended. Usually, we need to apply about an ounce of boron to a 1600 sq ft garden. The veggies have pretty much everything they need to catalyze all those lovely phytonutrients into existence. Thank you as always, for your efforts on our behalf.
Thank you for your insight Andrew. First reading the title, I was thinking "what, isn't that toxic stuff". Yes in higher concentration it doesn't take much to cause infertility in men. I guess this trace element is affected by soil content around the world and how much the rain would wash it out of the soil and such.
So essentially 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon...thank you for the reminder. I heard of this year's ago and need to start taking it again-especially now that my knees are starting to creak. I absolutely love your information ❤️ 🙏
Thanks Andrew, thought I might as well add this to other supplements I take especially since you refer to brain functioning, a recurrent theme - I lately noticed - in conversations with friends and relatives 😂
Osteopenia is still bone loss as classified on a scale. Osteoporosis is more severe bone loss. The difference between the two is the severity. Osteopenia is diagnosed when a DEXA scan shows bone loss up to -2.5 with zero being the healthy bone baseline. As that percentage increases (eg -2.6) you are diagnosed with osteoporosis. Even though the percentage loss may vary in different points of the body (eg left hip is -2.1 and right hip is -2.8) any number greater than -2.5 is considered systemic osteoporosis. Fractures can occur in people with osteopenia.
I first discovered the benefits of boron about 4 yrs ago when I was having severe trouble with my hip, i found that it is often prescribed in the baltics if i remember correctly to combat arthritis. When I first started talking it i thought it was a miracle as my condition improved so drastically, however it was maybe just coincidence that i went through a good patch after starting boron. I still feel it has positive benefits though and i still take 3-6mg here and there basically cycling on and off. I usually buy solgar at around £6 or £7 for a bottle of 100, well worth trying and I've been led to believe it increases free testosterone in men too.
@@thisorthat7626 thanks! I was at Walmart and they didn’t carry Boron, so I picked up some prunes (the carbs are outrageous). I will order them today from Swanson. 👍🏼
Hey andrew I have an unrelated question to this video. You always say seed oiles are bad. Are you refering to all of them including line seed oil? Because I thought that oil is rich in omega 3 fats and just drank some of it :) Can you clarify why its dangerous? I have trouble consuming high omega 3 fats because the only alternative are fish I think which also have high amounts of mercury and arent as healthy because of overfishing etc
The problem with seed oils generally is they have been processed either with chemicals or high heat to change their chemical structure so they keep longer on the shelves. They are turned into trans fats which are inflammatory and carcinogenic. Olive oil is a natural oil that is not heated or chemically altered. Here is a link to a study on linseed oils that found trans fats in some but not others - so use a reputable brand if you can. www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0308814621019361 Wrt fish, the best source of essential Omega3 oils is wild, cold-water oily fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines) and the dangers of being deficient in Omega3 far outweigh any realistic danger from mercury (which I think is very much a scare factor pushed by people with ideological views on what we "should" be eating, rather that bottom-line health implications - which is not to say our personal ethical convictions are not very real to us personally)
@@shapefixer thanks for the information. When you talk about fish do you also include overfarmed fish products typically sold in supermarkets? Because I have heard that for salmon, you shouldnt even eat these products anymore snd only stick to freshly caught salmon. However that‘s more on the expensive side and considering prices for food these days its really difficult to decide and who to trust
Should there be boron + calcium + magnesium in milk for the bones to grow ? ❤❤❤ Love your channel , find it to be new Knowledge not to be found elsewhere
You need those minerals from somewhere, it doesn't have to be milk necessarily. In fact dont drink too much milk, its full of lactose (sugar). Skimmed milk is worse, as the healthy cream (fat) has been removed, and usually had even more sugar added to make up for the horrible taste.
There are so many brands around the world, and the choices are different depending on where you live. I live in Spain. While I intentionally don't mention brands in my videos, as I definitely do not want to be promoting, marketing or selling any products (even though I have been approached by various companies) I will tell you the brand I use most often for the supplements I need is Solgar (partly because its available to me, partly because they have a wide range of supplements, and partly because the ones I have used seem to have worked!). I don't know whether that is available where you are. (and ps remember Amazon "reviews" can sometimes be questionable - some Amazon sellers actually employ people to troll other products!)
Adequate protein, maybe a collagen supplement, and resistance exercise - like weights, or body weight exercises. Muscles atrophy as we age if we dont stimulate them.

Can you please do a video explaining if a torn labrum in the shoulder can heal without surgery also do you think shilajit can help with that or with hill sachs?
A torn labrum can heal but it depends on the nature and extent of the tear. If it is "torn off", then no, it needs to be reattached. If there is a tear or cut in the labrum but it is still attached, it can heal with the right treatment protocols.
@@shapefixer really appreciated your answers it just has a tear and its still attached but its a bankart lesion and all my doctors have suggested surgery
