Hey everyone, the new transfer guide is out now! It is a much easier and quicker method using pksm and your 3ds only! No more using a pc for transfers, unless you are moving gen 1 & 2 mons from physical games. That still requires a pc. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/hFA0xHEM-Ng/w-d-xo.html
Just wondering I seen others use that program before you can change all kinda information on them including if there shiny or not so just like hoe you made to arcuses from that one you dragged to the file when you moved it to sun or moon you technically could of made one be a shiny and one not be a shiny with all the same information if you would of tried transferring them in to bank wouldn't it catch that they would have all the same information even though one is shiny
@@fredmiller2955I don't think pokebank had a detection method for that but I could be wrong. Pokemon home might have something like a data check though especially since it's where all the pokemon are being funneled to with the pending shutdown of pokebank. I'm personally waiting for PKSM on the switch. I think it will be a safer jump from 3ds to switch without risking my pokemon being destroyed, since I have a set of pokemon I've transferred up to gen 4 (SS) from the VC gen 1 games using PKSM. I'm not sure how they handle the data for pokemon being transferred this way. I play offline only though so I can't speak on whether or not it can get you banned or if you are risking pokemon deletion by using home to store, but imo I do think pokemon home likely has some sort of data legitimacy check for emulated/original hardware caught pokemon or generated pokemon especially with how anti emulation nintendo is. That's just my thoughts and theory though it is definitely not proven fact.
This is going to be extremely helpful in the future for me, because I have completed a legal gen 3 dex with a ton of shinies (This required me playing through FR, LG, Ruby, Sapphire, Japanese Emerald for bonus points on Mew, and Colosseum), and am looking to get them all the way into Home. I'm debating whether or not I'll start completing Gen 5, but I doubt I'll need to do gen 4 as I completed Legends. With that game, I intend to transfer everything over to Home anyways, because I wanna replay that game at some point.
getting pokemon from Ruby is a headache so I might as well just get pokemon from Omega Ruby instead, this is great and really helps show off the upsides to hacked 3ds .
Glad that it helps! I know a lot of people just think of them as cheating devices, but there is so much that you can do with CFW. I should be releasing a video later today showing an even easier transfer method just using pksm. Of course if you have cfw, you probably already use pksm lol
This is going to relieve some stress now whenever bank closes since I just started playing Pokémon aging and just about have all the games trying to do my own challenge is going to take years to finish
I made an updated version of this video and it's even easier! gen 4-7 game plus virtual console games can be sent to and from any generation using just your 3ds. the apps called PKSM, and they are even working on support for newer switch games as well. It's a nice feeling knowing you don't have an unknown amount of time before being cutoff from transferring pokemon lol. Are you planning on doing Oak challenges, or something else?
@@SleepyTaylor Nice! My Challenge is a mix of a few challenges mix into one I call it the Master Collector Dex. Each Pokemon has to be caught in it’s original game with a matching poke ball and has to have all ribbons/marks that the Pokemon is allowed to get in each gen. Time even ribbons don’t count unless there introduces in a new game and they needs to be caught by the original trainer. It’s a lot to do since in gen 3 there’s missable ribbons if a Pokémon hits a certain level.
@@SleepyTaylor do you know how to transfer pokemon from soulsilver to sword and shield, or brilliant diamond and shining pearl? k because i cant find pokemon black or white on ebay for at least a decent price from where i live. or if it’s possible to do so…
@@Squidman9 you can use this method, or use the CFW app called PKSM. It does the same thing as this method but takes way less effort. you just need a gen 6 or 7 game from there. you can send the mon to a gen 6/7 game and then from that game send it to pokemon bank, and do the normal transfer process from there.
I just want this so I can move Pokémon from yellow version to gold and then from gold to ruby, and so on. I want to have Pokémon that I’ve raised from previous games to live on in newer games.
Understandable! I enjoy moving a select few pokemon to every new game! If you were implying how that would be done, you need a gb/gbc cart dumper. they cost anywhere from 40USD-100USD. That will allow you to remove your save file from a cartridge and move them onto a gen 3 and up game,
I'm surprised Sleepy Taylor didn't mention this but you actually can't transfer Pokemon from Gen 2 to Gen 3. The only way you can transfer Gen 1/2 Pokemon to Gen 4 and onwards is via the 3DS Virtual Console. At least assuming the official transfer process is the same as the homebrew version
AquaticChaos you can using this method. You have to buy a cart dumper (20-100 USD) and then use the same method of backing up saves and using pkhex to move them between saves:) Of course there is no “official” way to transfer from gen 2 to 3 because of the dv to ev switch. They were just too lazy to make a stat converter, which is easily done, they just didn’t bother. Assuming because of time constraints.
that's exactly how i felt. If you really want it and are afraid to do it yourself, you can always buy one with cfw preinstalled. Just be warned you'll be paying like an extra $100 or more, they bust heads. It takes less than 15 minutes to do it, once you know how.
i could, but its pretty simple so i can just tell you lol. if you mean transferring a pokemon from a gen 3 cartridge, the best way is just using palpark in gen 4 and transferring it up that way with an og ds or ds lite. if you don't have a gen 4 game you can use an r4 cartridge, however you still need an old ds. if you don't have the older ds then you will need to buy a cart dumper. it can dump roms and saves, however all ones i've looked for are sold out because of the virus:/
Question for you: On my modded 3ds, is there a way I can transfer Pokémon from an emulated Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald to a physical copy of Diamond, Pearl or Platinum?
yep, you'd just do the same method. Use checkpoint, make a bu of both saves, and you are good to go. I am working on a new video talking about how to tranfer mons to/from gens, including VC. PKSM says even unofficial VC like gen3 should be compatible, but I've been having trouble getting it to detect the games. I got it to work with a gen 7 game that ripped and installed on my 3ds, just gotta figure out why gen 3 isn't working. Once that's worked out, the video will be up.
I know that the Hall of Origin Arceus was never officially released in Gen IV but to restrict the shiny variant from going to Pokébank, HOME, and later games, that's just ridiculous. I'm planning to bring mine from Platinum to the current generation. I already have a 3DS with CFW. Is a Switch with CFW required?
As far as I am aware the only restriction is with poketransporter, unless things have changed over the years. Once you get shiny Arceus past the gen 5 to bank hurdle, you are all good. You only need a 3ds with CFW, you should be able to send Arceus from a gen 6/7 game into Bank, and up into home. From there it can go a few places. Mine is chilling in PLA at the moment, been there since they allowed transfers.
Oh really? That awesome! Is it a new method or something? I only know about the r4 method and exploits with some shop games, but it's been years since I looked into it:P
as far as i know, it should still work for all games. they only update it to add support to new games/apps/consoles. you can make sure to download it from project pokemon, but they should all be the same.
Yep! You can also just use pksm now. It's an app you can download for 3ds' with CFW. It has it's own bank system you can use to move your pokemon around!
@@SleepyTaylor thank you so much for the response, buizel is my favorite and he can't be caught in X D; When I try the app you mentioned I'll let you know how it goes (; thanks again and good luck with your channel I think it's great !!
@@saile1011 no problem, oh the struggle! God luck, I hope it goes well. Thank you so much! I hope to be posting new videos soon! Thank you for subbing, I appreciate it:)
Does this method at all require internet connection on the console? My New 2DS XL doesn't connect to the internet for some reason it's probably broken.
That's really odd, you can use pkhex or pksm(showed off in another video) without internet. If you want to connect to bank though, you gotta have internet.
I only show off transfers pre Gen 7 because you still have to use bank to home for transfers. I think that's what you're asking. Sorry if I didn't answer properly.
Is there a way to transfer pokemon from Platinum (original cartridge) to ultra sun which I downloaded from the e shop in one go , by the way I own two hacked old 3ds
Yep! There is an app called pksm, and it got updated a bit a go to have its own bank system that lets you move any pokemon to and from any game/generation! Pksm also works with games installed on your 3ds as well, so that's all you would need! You can batch move pokemon with their bank system, it has a "flip" option that takes everything in one pc box and moves into the bank/out of the bank into a pc box. It's super quick and simple! edit. I'll add that this method can work for that too, but it would be much more work.
@@SleepyTaylor Thank you so much for the quick reply, I was able to move pokemon from gen4 to gen6 easily using the pksm application on my 3ds however the confusing part for me is that do I have to create a new backup file every time I want transfer or just use the same backup file and restore the changes it.
@@nikikellenberger3801 No problem at all! So if you are talking about the backup that pksm makes, thats just a safety precaution. Instead of directly editing your game files, it backs up your game and edits that file, then you apply the changes when you are done. It's just like that so you don't delete/alter something you didn't mean to. If you are asking about my method using backups in checkpoint, you don't have to do that when using pksm.
The real question is... Can i transfer this Arceus from USUM to Pokèbank? im really curious since Pokemon home will come out soon and i want to Put my Shiny Arceus Darkrai Shaymin there. thx4vid
Unfortunately they will most likely have the same checks in pokehome that prevent them from going in pokebank. If you have a cfw switch already, and the mons are available in sword and shield, you can do the same skip method and put them straight in gen 8
yep that works! It works for VC and carts. You can send gen 1 & 2 pokemon from a cartridge to a gen 3 game and then send them all the way up if you wanted. Edit for the gen 1&2 carts you need a cart/rom dumper as well, forgot to mention that. However if its VC you can just use checkpoint for your backup
I made this method before the pksm app updated to let you use gen 4 games with their bank. At least before I updated mine, I don't know when said update came out for sure.
Are they virtual console games? or just normal cartridges? If you have a lot of games, it could be on another page. try pressing l or r to change pages. Could also try pressing x while in checkpoint. Could show up there maybe. Checkpoint doesn't notice some games you install yourself. So for those you can use godmode9. just search on youtube "dump save with godmode9". It should already be installed on your 3ds
Technically yes the transferred one is a clone with this method. However you can now just use pksm to move your pokemon between gens 4-7, because it has its own bank system, no cloning needed. So it's just as legitimate as using pokebank/poketransfer with that method.
Is it possible to get any of these pokemon into pokemon home I, unfortunately, got back into pokemon recently and missed the eshop closing. I wanted to move my gen6 pokemon to home so I could have them for gen9 when home support comes out. If its not possible thank you for your help!!
That's a huge bummer to hear! Well... yes and no. You can IF you have cfw installed on a 3ds AND a switch. This is most likely the only way, but you might get lucky with something else. You MIGHT be able to find a .cia install of pokemon bank. That would eliminate the need for a switch with cfw, however you'd still need to install it on a 3ds. It is very inexpensive, so I'd say go for it. Are you in the us region or elsewhere? If you are I can look into ripping non video game applications and see if I can't make a .cia install of my pokebank. I've never tried this but at worst they would ban your account that can't even be used anymore lol
did a quick google search. here is a site that has pokemon bank and transporter to download. hshop.erista.me/t/19395 here is a place you can find the latest updates for them archive.org/download/3ds-dlc-and-updates-encrypted edit. You will need to install cfw on a 3ds to install the apps though. you can find out how at 3ds.hacks.guide
@@SleepyTaylor I think i’m okay! I’m gonna try and possibly find someone in my area who has bank and can use my cartridge to trade from their home to mine!
sorry to hear this man, I'm in a similar position and I'm not confident in my ability of using something like an r4 cartridge. I just found my old copy of emerald from when i was a kid and just found out pokemon bank and transporter cant be downloaded anymore to get them on home :(
@@CasaNoah i promise it isn't hard to do. You probably don't even need an r4 anymore since 3ds.hacks.guide updated their install method. If you are super concerned about it, go buy a 2ds from walmart and install cfw on it. That way if you brick it, you can just return it to walmart. Not to mention you can just install cfw, do your transfers, then return the 2ds any way and you are out no money or worry of bricking your own console.
BIG RIP. I saw a post on reddit that if you didn't have a subscription before bank shut down, you can use poke transporter. However I didn't look into it much. Maybe GF will get it together and fix the issue. There is another method that is way easier, its just a bit more difficult to get the location data right on it, if you care about that. I FINALLY got manaphy and will be editing that video and a how to hunt video soon, but AFTER THAT i plan on making an updated version of this video with the other method included.
It’s level 100 because I believed the rumors that if you level it to 100 and give it a certain moveset it can transfer up. I have my live reaction of catching the arceus. Markings are added through pokebank when transferred. Which this method skips, because GF won’t let us transfer shiny arceus up. Edit. Furthermore with the app I used you can give Pokémon any markings, I just don’t alter my Pokémon. (Save for when I was trying every method to “legitimately” get it to go through pokebank.)
Sleepy Taylor yeah that rumor is true, my void glitch arceus transferred up at level 100 with only judgement, but only since I caught it in diamond. Shiny arceus will not transfer no matter what you do though
are CFW and Homebrew different? because I'm planning to buy a 3ds and transfer all my mons from my emulated Diamond to x and y or maybe to sun and moon. I hope someone replies
hey, so they are different things, according to someone that told me in the comments. you need both. you can follow this guide with ntrboot(the very bottom option) to install everything you need. it walks you through installing ntrboot, boot9strap, god9mode, fbi, luma, and a few other things. 3ds.hacks.guide/get-started I've followed it 4 times now and it's all i needed! well other than the r4 cartridge(mine was $15USD). there are ways to do it without buying a r4 cart but i do not know how.. Plus you can use the r4 cart afterwards for playing roms on your 3ds. though you can also just install them to your 3ds lol. hope this helps!
Sleepy Taylor Thanks! but sorry to bother you again, but how do I extract save file from a real cartridge and Inject it after I transfer pokemons? I'm really a noob at this sorry ps: the 3ds I'm buying has cfw so I need only homebrew
siegfried spetsnaz it’s no problem at all! well I bought a cfw 3ds before(the battery port broke when I dropped it unfortunately) and that one did also have Homebrew. It had luma, fbi, checkpoint, godmode9, boot9strap the works. If your console doesn’t have those programs you will need to follow the second half of the tutorial I linked you. It has links for the checkpoint app and all that other jazz. On any vc/ds/3ds game you just open the checkpoint app and click the game you want, then click make backup. You can also use it to restore saves. If you are trying to get a save from an actual gb/gbc/gba cartridge, you will have to buy a separate piece of hardware. If you have any other questions just let me know:)
Sleepy Taylor Thanks a lot man. You're a life saver 😊. One more question, the save data where I transfered my Mons, could I somehow put in a cartridge like a physical copy of x and y? Godbless you 😊
siegfried spetsnaz do you mean after you move the Pokémon to a new save? Yeah you just use the same app that you use to get the saves. There’s a backup and restore option in checkpoint. So you will be able to put your save back onto a physical cartridge. All my games(other than vc games lol) are physical cartridges. If I didn’t quite answer your question let me know :)
What special ribbon? Are you talking about the diploma you get in ORAS for having a pokemon from RSE? I thought there was a special ribbon at first, but i can't find any info about it. Please do let me know what ribbon you are referring to and I promise I'll check into it:)
Bryce Ortegae ahhh gotcha! They don’t, but neither do legit Pokémon from gen 4&5. I sent my shiny SS johto starters up and they don’t have any marks. They were even sent up the proper way. I should state I’ve only moved gen 3 and up Pokémon. So I don’t know if the gbc ones will get them, or if it’s just VC gen 1&2 that get them
i got physical copies of sun moon and x .. with all legit pokemon and i want to transfer them to my switch pokemon home .,. can i mod the 3ds download bank from hshop and transfer them to pokemon home ? .. also if i do mod my 3ds will all my files that are already on it get wipe ?
I have heard that you can download bank and transporter(which I need to do) from hshop, but I’ve never used it. You don’t delete your files, at least I’m 99.9% sure, the guide will let you know for sure. Edit just in case you need it, the guide is on 3ds.hacks.guide
You can do it with digital games! Checkpoint can backup saves even for downloaded games. You can even move pokemon from emulators to cartridges/digital copies.
@@SleepyTaylor I knew you can move emulator to real cartridges/digital games, I have done it with pokemon black 2 which is really cool as long as it is legit
Yeah as long as the mon is "legal" then it will transfer. By legal, I mean if you have a legendary caught on route 1, it probably won't go through haha.
Ik pokehome is shutting down so I'm having somewhat of an existential crisis. I just bought a legit copy of black and this absolute MAD LAD had all shinies of legendaries AND normal pokemon. Anyways I have a Japanese 3ds translated to English and cannot access eshop. It is a common problem. I want to inject them all into it but I cant access eshop and have heard theres no way to get it free. I have a 2ds also homebrewed but in english and can access eshop and was wondering if I buy it if I will run a risk? Also I will probably skip this method bc I read another comment of you saying you cant use it for switch. I plan on getting scarlet and violet and would like to access it when it comes out, but my switch is completely unmodded. Sorry for the lengthy comment I just really need help and advice on what to do and if it's possible to buy it on my other 2ds.
It's safe to assume they are hacked, which isn't a big deal but just thought i'd let you know. When I got one of my gen 5 games it legit had 30-40 shiny gibles and an obscene amount of another that i can't remember haha. It had others but the person REALLY liked those 2 mons in particular lol Are you asking if you will get banned if you buy something from the eshop on a homebrew 3ds/2ds? I'm fairly certain I bought pokemon crystal on my 3ds after I installed cfw and I didn't have an issue. Not to mention I use pokebank on the cfw 3ds to send pokemon to home and haven't been banned. I should say that I don't have any games downloaded from the freeshop on my 3ds, so I don't know if you'd get banned if you did. I can't be sure I never said that because I don't remember all the replies I've made and the video came out before SwSh, but I am pretty sure you can use pkhex and pksm with gen 8, and i'm sure eventually 9. I just can't say that for sure because i don't own a cfw switch yet so I've had no reason to look into it. Pksm says it supports gen 8, and i'd assume if they do, pkhex would as well.
@@SleepyTaylor ahhh! Makes sense I did look at the dates they "catched" them and they were within 3 days apart which is to say the least, impossible . Anyways thank you! I guess I'm gonna have to dig up my 2ds and get home that way, good to know I wont get banned or bricked. Thank you!
I have question does this work for soulsilver? And also are you able to transfer games from cracked version of soulsilver to other cracked version like black, black 2, or ultra moon? Then can i move my Pokémon to a legit switch pokemon like sword from ultra moon?
This works for any mainline pokemon game. Not sure what you mean by "cracked versions". If you just mean roms, then yes it will work. As long as the save file can be opened by pkhex, you are good to go. I'll be releasing a newer version of this video in less than a week (hopefully), that only requires you to have a 3ds with cfw, and not having to move your save files between your sd card and pc.
Some people do use homebrew to hack in pokemon. That's what most people do for battle leagues. As far as I am aware you can only gen one pokemon at a time. I don't think there is a "mass gen" button to create one of every mon quickly, however I have also never looked into it.
Bruh I am gonna try this cuz I have my hacked shiny Pokémon that won’t transfer to bank but some how some of the hacked was able to transfer which made no sense to me!!!
As far as i know, yes. However that would require having a switch with CFW as well as a 3ds with CFW. Since I don't own a custom firmware switch i can't confirm 100 percent. However all the tools have been updated to work with the switch games, so my guess is yes!
@@fadyshaheer1909 no, you have to have cfw on both. so you can dump the saves and open them in pkhex, or use pksm. however I have not looked into it, so keep that in mind. i think it was worth it. it added a few hours of story, some cool places to explore, and some nice bonus features(like the cram-o-matic). It isn't perfect, but i'd buy it again.
I have an R4 for the regular DS. I am trying to get and transfer mons from Black into my Pokemon X. I am sure this method is not for me is there any alternative way you can recommend to me I have been researching all day
Unfortunately every way i know would involve having to have custom firmware on your ds. The only thing else I could think of is a cart dumper, however i don't even know if those exist for ds/3ds games. Since you can dump games and saves with CFW I never really looked into it more. I know recently I have been looking into gbc/gba cart dumpers, and they are like all sold out. They run 40-100 USD, and with the pandemic they are hard to come by. If you have an r4, i would look at a ds hacking guide and see if your r4 is compatible with installing ntrboot. I can understand being sketched out by it, I was too the first time, now it's a cake walk to do.
It's as legit as it can be, but it still won't transfer without going around poketransporter. Edit sorry that's if you want a shiny one. I was able to trade multiple normal arceus no problem, but someone else said they couldn't get it to work.
If you are asking can you still get online to use pokebank after installing CFW, the answer is yep! Both of my 3ds have cfw installed, and I still use bank from time to time. I don't have any non-owned games installed on my 3ds, so I don't know if you'd get banned if you used the free store. Just as a heads up.
The only ways I have found to transfer Shiny Arceus is by using custom firmware. If it is just a normal arceus it will transfer. You can now transfer pokemon just by using the PKSM CFW app, no moving pokemon with pkhex anymore.
I have a 3ds capture card, if you are asking how I’m recording my games. If you are looking for an emulator to use vba is a popular one. Edit. Well if you want to play gba and gbc games that is lol. I can’t remember the popular 3ds one. I think it’s citra??
it is only neccessary for pokemon who cannot be sent through poketransporter in gen 5, like shiny Arceus. Though this method is outdated now. The app pksm updated to have it's own bank system and lets you move any pokemon to and from gen 4 - gen 7. You still need custom firmware however.

I believe that PKSM and possibly pkhex support gen 8 games, however I don't have switch with cfw. So i can neither confirm or deny. Sorry! I will say that if you are trying to move a pokemon to SwSh that isn't in the game, it probably wont work regardless.
Nope! As long as the pokemon isn't hacked, it's fine. My arceus and shaymin(both legitimately hunted) are chilling in Pokemone Home right now. If the pokemon can be transferred to SWSH you can even make them "battle-ready" and be able to use them in online battles!
@@SleepyTaylor OK thanks! I was thinking of hunting Arceus, I am currently hunting shaymin but I won't have to worry abt the transfer since it's being found in plat and I won't have to worry about the transfer
TreySlasher I personally didn’t even try to transfer shaymin the legit way. I have never watched a video where they have transferred it past gen 5. There is a way easier way to transfer Pokémon now, and it doesn’t require cloning. The app pksm has its own bank storage and now works with all games gen 4 and up! People claimed shiny arceus would also transfer, they were wrong. People just assumed it would because normal arceus does. I think it’s the same thing with shaymin. Please let me know if it does transfer for you!

However mew is in my Sword game right now! edit i guess i should've said, once you get a pokemon into gen 6 or 7 in can be put into pokemon bank haha
Anonymous Maestro yep! I’m pretty sure there is a way to skip pokebank completely and just put the Pokémon in home. However I’m certain that requires a homebrew switch(something I don’t have). So for now you still have to transfer from bank to home.
Unfortunately the only way to do it without a pc is to buy a 3ds with everything preinstalled, and hope that pksm is installed and up to date. I don't know if there is any way that doesn't require a pc for some part of the process.
@@piranhalettuce I got it as a kid and got stuck at one point so I gave up. I played the game later, but reset because I forgot what happened. Rinse and repeat a few times, then I just hated playing it. Gen 5 is good, amazing story, but I just had a bad taste of it in my mouth.
@@garlicclaws Try giving the games a second shot if you can and beat the main campaign story. N and Ghetais have amazing character development and contain unforgettable cutscenes, especially at Dragonsprial tower and the end.
You are correct! This was made before the update that allowed you to do that(at least before I knew about the update). Also pksm won’t let you transfer from the gen 1&2 VC(if you wanted to shiny hunt mew but don’t have gen 3 games), not to mention if you just don’t want to pay for pokebank. I am aware of how to make any vc poke, legal or not, transferable. Unless pksm been updated again and I didnt see, it still can’t do VC. Also it doesn’t let you transfer from gen 1-3 physical cartridges, which this method can, but I don’t go through that exact process, as it can get expensive.
precheater you still need a homebrew 3ds. It’s an application that you can download off of github. Then you install it with fbi(homebrew application). Then you just drag the mon into their storage bank, change games, and drag it into a new game.
precheater do you have the fbi app already? It should’ve had you go into it and install some stuff I do believe. Custom firmware and homebrew are one in the same, to my understanding. After you have fbi, just download pksm on your computer, put it on your 3ds sd card and then install it with fbi. You could probably look for a video about installing apps with fbi for a set by step:)
precheater you need to get homebrew AND cfw to get pksm to work. I got homebrew only at first and it didn’t work lol there’s a recent video posted by someone (forgot his name) but it’s super simple to follow and it’s for the 3ds firmware 11.13
Yep, once you get a pokemon into a gen 6 or 7 game, you can then put them in pokemon bank and send them to home! my arceus and shaymin are both sitting in home right now
@@SleepyTaylor wait so you can bypass the anticheat flags that bank/home have by using this method? I'm trying to get a gliched Celebi in a premier ball (obtained in Gen3 via pomeg glitch) up into pokemon home.
@@BlueKhaotix I haven't had the need to transfer any more pokemon, so I don't know if there has been any updates to try to prevent them. Last time I tried, I had no issue! I don't know what criteria pokemon home uses to determine if a pokemon is legitimate. Since it was obtained via a glitch, it could potentially be caught. However you can also trade celebi to sword and shield, so maybe it wouldn't get deleted there, i just wouldn't leave it in pokemon home to be safe.
Uhhhh, if I don’t want to risk bricking my girlfriend’s 3DS (which I’m borrowing + I’m prone to breaking everything) is there any way I could PayPal you to trade me a certain Pokémon through Home? 😂
@@SleepyTaylor That's fair. And ehhhh I know I can probably find a way to get most legendaries before gen 6, but I really want a shiny Mew and Arceus. I haven't been able to transfer a single one to HOME and I've tried multiple codes for each ;-;
Carson Lewis I don’t hack mons in, so unless you already have them I can’t really help out sorry:/ If you have the mons I can try to transfer them for you, but I can’t hack Pokémon in. Sorry:(
@@SleepyTaylor It's all good! And I have them, I just can't transfer them from Soul Silver or Black Version 2 into Pokebank to put into HOME. Only a few have been able to slip past their system but not the event pokemon I cheated in like Mew or Arceus
Carson Lewis poke transfer checks for shinyness. I cloned my shiny, made it not shiny and it transferred. However my shiny wouldn’t. It sucks they chose to do poke transporter that way. Can you still trade in old games or did they shut that down too? I know you can still trade locally but I’m not sure about anything else. Just a few tips. The instructions for home brew are super easy to follow and will only brick your ds if you don’t follow the instructions. Also (not saying I recommend this, but it is a thing) 2ds’ are really cheap and Walmart has a 15-30 day refund with receipt. So in theory you could get the home brew software, home brew with no worry and then get your money back when you are done(save for the 10 dollars for the drive). Again it’s no worry because there’s a no questions asked refund. Just a thought;P
@WhinyDogFish I wasn’t sure what he meant by “ban?” So I assumed he meant getting your account banned for having custom firmware on your 3ds. The only case I’ve heard that happening is if they have stolen games, well illegally downloaded game.
@WhinyDogFish technically roms are only illegal if you don’t own a physical copy of the thing you are downloading. There is some like hacked e-shop that lets you download games for free on the 3ds, if you used it and went online with your 3ds you could probably get banned. I don’t know how sweeping their bans are or how regular anymore. I’ve never been banned, so I don’t know if they will ban you for having roms installed via .cias or if it’s just if you use the hacked shop. I don’t even know if the shop is a thing anymore honestly.
Same I’m shiny hunting for shiny tepig in Pokémon black
getting pokemon from Ruby is a headache so I might as well just get pokemon from Omega Ruby instead, this is great and really helps show off the upsides to hacked 3ds .
Glad that it helps! I know a lot of people just think of them as cheating devices, but there is so much that you can do with CFW. I should be releasing a video later today showing an even easier transfer method just using pksm. Of course if you have cfw, you probably already use pksm lol
@@SleepyTaylor what was the method?
Could you show us how to send pksm event Pokémon into our gen 7 ultra moon game?
Yeah I could make a super quick video talking about it
Do you already have pksm?
@@SleepyTaylor do you know how to transfer pokemon from soulsilver to sword and shield, or brilliant diamond and shining pearl?
k because i cant find pokemon black or white on ebay for at least a decent price from where i live. or if it’s possible to do so…
@@Squidman9 you can use this method, or use the CFW app called PKSM. It does the same thing as this method but takes way less effort.
you just need a gen 6 or 7 game from there.
you can send the mon to a gen 6/7 game and then from that game send it to pokemon bank, and do the normal transfer process from there.
@@SleepyTaylor Would you be able to do a video showing us how to do this using PKSM?
@@MrAsh- I planned on doing that a while back, but kind of forgot lol. I'll try to get around to it once I'm not sick
You have to buy a cart dumper (20-100 USD) and then use the same method of backing up saves and using pkhex to move them between saves:)
Of course there is no “official” way to transfer from gen 2 to 3 because of the dv to ev switch. They were just too lazy to make a stat converter, which is easily done, they just didn’t bother. Assuming because of time constraints.
I want to do this but I’m a retard and I’m definitely bricking my 3ds
that's exactly how i felt. If you really want it and are afraid to do it yourself, you can always buy one with cfw preinstalled. Just be warned you'll be paying like an extra $100 or more, they bust heads. It takes less than 15 minutes to do it, once you know how.
Is the ban hammer sign at 4:30 a real thing showing that the 3DS got banned from online use in any Pokémon game?
That is the ban sign you get for cheating in Pokémon go:p
Can make a video how to move your Rudy Pokémon’s to sun and moon /ultra
i could, but its pretty simple so i can just tell you lol.
if you mean transferring a pokemon from a gen 3 cartridge, the best way is just using palpark in gen 4 and transferring it up that way with an og ds or ds lite. if you don't have a gen 4 game you can use an r4 cartridge, however you still need an old ds.
if you don't have the older ds then you will need to buy a cart dumper. it can dump roms and saves, however all ones i've looked for are sold out because of the virus:/
@@SleepyTaylor welp, time to call Rocky the tortoise.
Question for you:
On my modded 3ds, is there a way I can transfer Pokémon from an emulated Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald to a physical copy of Diamond, Pearl or Platinum?
yep, you'd just do the same method.
Almost forgot if your game, for some reason, won't show up in checkpoint. You can use the installed godmode9 to rip the save file from your vc games.
@@SleepyTaylor Alright, cool 👍
Thanks, dude ✌️
will try this with the painful shiny unown
Which unown would that be? You got my attention haha
@@SleepyTaylor Wait, a modded Switch isn't required ?
@@Dusk1991 nope! not until bank closes. Then you will need a switch with CFW for all transfers period, until then you are good.

Oh really? That awesome! Is it a new method or something? I only know about the r4 method and exploits with some shop games, but it's been years since I looked into it:P

It's the normal 3d model that I rigged myself to learn a bit about animation. I love teddiursa, so I decided to make it my pfp :)

as far as i know, it should still work for all games. they only update it to add support to new games/apps/consoles.
you can make sure to download it from project pokemon, but they should all be the same.
Can I transfer from the home brew to a regular 3ds
Yep, you just use the homebrew ds to backup/restore your game. After the Pokémon is on your cartridge you can use any ds as normal
So if i play pokemon black 2 on my 3ds i can use this method to move it to my copy of pokemon x ?
Yep! You can also just use pksm now. It's an app you can download for 3ds' with CFW. It has it's own bank system you can use to move your pokemon around!

Does this method at all require internet connection on the console? My New 2DS XL doesn't connect to the internet for some reason it's probably broken.
That's really odd, you can use pkhex or pksm(showed off in another video) without internet. If you want to connect to bank though, you gotta have internet.
Do you have a video of you transferring to pokemon shield or sword
I only show off transfers pre Gen 7 because you still have to use bank to home for transfers.
I think that's what you're asking. Sorry if I didn't answer properly.
@@SleepyTaylor I was gonna ask because I had solgaleo on pokemon sun and wanted to transfer over to shield

Unfortunately they will most likely have the same checks in pokehome that prevent them from going in pokebank. If you have a cfw switch already, and the mons are available in sword and shield, you can do the same skip method and put them straight in gen 8

Ferdi Arı well maybe they won’t have the same checks and will allow them! Only time will tell now!
okay dumb question but does this work with pokemon red and pokemon gold? Like can I send me Gen 1 pokemon to my Gen 2 game?
yep that works!
@@SleepyTaylor Thank you, If this didn't work I'd have to buy a second 3ds to send my kanto pokemon to Johto
Why just don’t use pksm, and save Pokémon backup in .bank file the app just create?
I made this method before the pksm app updated to let you use gen 4 games with their bank. At least before I updated mine, I don't know when said update came out for sure.
@@SleepyTaylor aaah I understand
I bought a home-brew modded 3ds can I still transfer my Pokemon
Some of my games aren’t appearing in checkpoint. Any fix for this?
Are they virtual console games? or just normal cartridges?
If you have a lot of games, it could be on another page. try pressing l or r to change pages. Could also try pressing x while in checkpoint. Could show up there maybe.
Checkpoint doesn't notice some games you install yourself. So for those you can use godmode9. just search on youtube "dump save with godmode9". It should already be installed on your 3ds
Isn't your Arceus technically considered a hacked pokemon if you do this?
I've never tried this but at worst they would ban your account that can't even be used anymore lol

is there a way to transfer a mon from pokemon white to pokemon home without 3ds? pls help i got a lot of shinys and i don't wanna lose them
Not that I know of. Even if you had a switch with CFW, youd still need CFW on a 3ds to get your save file from your white game. Sorry:/
Looks like Poke Transporter doesn't work anymore so this likely is the only alternative to transport Pokemon to future games.
''dont cheat''
has a cheated (illegal marked) shiny arceus in lvl100

I hope someone replies
hey, so they are different things, according to someone that told me in the comments. you need both.
you can follow this guide with ntrboot(the very bottom option)
to install everything you need. it walks you through installing ntrboot, boot9strap, god9mode, fbi, luma, and a few other things.
3ds.hacks.guide/get-started
I've followed it 4 times now and it's all i needed! well other than the r4 cartridge(mine was $15USD). there are ways to do it without buying a r4 cart but i do not know how..
I'm really a noob at this sorry
ps: the 3ds I'm buying has cfw so I need only homebrew
siegfried spetsnaz it’s no problem at all! well I bought a cfw 3ds before(the battery port broke when I dropped it unfortunately) and that one did also have Homebrew.
If I didn’t quite answer your question let me know :)
if the pokemon is from a gameboy game, will it get the special ribbon when transferred?
What special ribbon? Are you talking about the diploma you get in ORAS for having a pokemon from RSE?
I thought there was a special ribbon at first, but i can't find any info about it. Please do let me know what ribbon you are referring to and I promise I'll check into it:)
Sleepy Taylor I looked into it and realized there was no ribbon. It’s just the diploma.

I plan on getting scarlet and violet and would like to access it when it comes out, but my switch is completely unmodded. Sorry for the lengthy comment I just really need help and advice on what to do and if it's possible to buy it on my other 2ds.

Are you asking if you will get banned if you buy something from the eshop on a homebrew 3ds/2ds?
Thank you!

Hello, I was wondering if it's possible with homebrew to hack Pokemon B/W (original game card) to have any pokemon ?
Some people do use homebrew to hack in pokemon. That's what most people do for battle leagues.

Jack Liu moves ability level Ability Ot If its an Event and Trainer Id Or if its shinylocked many Things Could Make it obviously seen as hacked
Can I transfer Pokémon from ultra sun(3DS) to Pokémon shield(Nintendo switch) without Pokémon bank ?
As far as i know, yes. However that would require having a switch with CFW as well as a 3ds with CFW. Since I don't own a custom firmware switch i can't confirm 100 percent. However all the tools have been updated to work with the switch games, so my guess is yes!
Sleepy Taylor well can it work with only a hombrewed 3ds and a normal switch
Sleepy Taylor also is the expansion pass worth buying?
Sleepy Taylor Thank you I really appreciate the reply
Xero of course! Any time!
If you hack in the Azura Flute and catch the Arceus is it legit and able to be transferred like this or is considered not a legit pokemon?
It's as legit as it can be, but it still won't transfer without going around poketransporter.
Edit sorry that's if you want a shiny one. I was able to trade multiple normal arceus no problem, but someone else said they couldn't get it to work.
Can you also access pokemon bank with a cfw 3ds?
If you are asking can you still get online to use pokebank after installing CFW, the answer is yep!
Both of my 3ds have cfw installed, and I still use bank from time to time.
I don't have any non-owned games installed on my 3ds, so I don't know if you'd get banned if you used the free store. Just as a heads up.
I have the original Game, and i wanna Transfer arceus to usum using pokebank, if the Game is Original, It Will works?
The only ways I have found to transfer Shiny Arceus is by using custom firmware. If it is just a normal arceus it will transfer.
You can now transfer pokemon just by using the PKSM CFW app, no moving pokemon with pkhex anymore.
thanks for explaining it my nephew will also be grateful
You are very welcome, I am glad I could help out!
whats your emulator?
I have a 3ds capture card, if you are asking how I’m recording my games.
If you are looking for an emulator to use vba is a popular one.
Edit. Well if you want to play gba and gbc games that is lol. I can’t remember the popular 3ds one. I think it’s citra??
@@SleepyTaylor it is citra
Is this a necessary process for transferring special pokemon to newer games or is this only for people who dont want to pay for pokemon bank?
it is only neccessary for pokemon who cannot be sent through poketransporter in gen 5, like shiny Arceus.
Though this method is outdated now. The app pksm updated to have it's own bank system and lets you move any pokemon to and from gen 4 - gen 7. You still need custom firmware however.
@@SleepyTaylor can regular arceus be transferred through poke transporter like normal though? I'm personally not all that big on shiny hunting. I'm very very new to pokemon as a whole so I genuinely don't know.
@@LMR__1 I tested 4 different non shiny arceus, 3 in diamond and 1 in platinum, and they all transferred no problem.
Someone in the comments tried and they said it wouldn't transfer. So it's up in the air. From my experience you shouldn't have a problem, but others have had problems.
@@SleepyTaylor Alright, thank you very much, I suppose in worst case scenario I'll homebrew my old original model 3DS, which I've been low key planning to anyway.
@@LMR__1 no problem! I understand, i did it at first to play randomizers on my consoles, but i never thought of how useful it can be! Thanks for subbing by the way
Is it possible to use this software to trade with gen 8?
I believe that PKSM and possibly pkhex support gen 8 games, however I don't have switch with cfw. So i can neither confirm or deny. Sorry!
I will say that if you are trying to move a pokemon to SwSh that isn't in the game, it probably wont work regardless.
does this works on darkrai and shaymin caught in pearl?
yep! This can be done with any pokemon game! Even gen 1&2 games, but those do require another piece of hardware too
Patch ?
Work for black 2 at Pokemon Y ?
If you are asking if the method has been patched, nope. You can also just use an app called pksm now
So close to 1K!!
RIGHT!? If I didn't get sick right after having to move, we might've been able to make it to 1k by the end of the year.
There's still a shot though!
@@SleepyTaylor i m halfway there. Good luck!!
Keep grinding, you got this! You too!
Nor miss take 15 mins to hombres it only takes me 5 mins
Would this work if I downloaded the game from the internet rather than use an actual cartridge
Yep. As long as you have the save, you can use it.
You can make backups of saves regardless of how you have the game.
Will this make pokemon see the pokemon as hacked?
@@SleepyTaylor I'll let you know as soon as I do, also i was wondering if you were ever going to hunt deoxys, and would u be able to show me where u got the AR code for the mew item?
TreySlasher awesome thanks! Yep! I do plan on hunting him in the future, just have a huge backlog I gotta catch up on haha. Plus I kinda want to wait until I get a second fatboy ds with a capture card, so I can dual hunt it!
Since I didn’t have my own action replay/gameshark I copied my save, opened it on the VBA emulator, and entered the codes there! Then I just put my save back on my cartridge.
Here is the video I used the codes from, they are in the description. After you enable the event and have the item you no longer need your cheating device!
edit. when you are dumb and forget to actually put the link...

Hello, quick question here: so are these mons are still legit if i can somehow transfer them into games other than 3ds'
I'm not interested in pkm pvp, i just want a full dex without trading too much. And i did found, lvl up and train my mons the old fashion way.
yep they are legal! I have sent my shiny mew, arceus, and shaymin all through bank into pokemon home. Since arceus and shaymin aren't in SWSH, they are chilling in pokemon home. However mew is in my Sword game right now!
edit i guess i should've said, once you get a pokemon into gen 6 or 7 in can be put into pokemon bank haha
@@SleepyTaylor so you can do this trick to transfer mons to poke home?
Anonymous Maestro yep! I’m pretty sure there is a way to skip pokebank completely and just put the Pokémon in home. However I’m certain that requires a homebrew switch(something I don’t have). So for now you still have to transfer from bank to home.
@@SleepyTaylor ohhh okay thanks. I thought it can be transferred without a switch lol. Also thanks for the turorial < 3
Anonymous Maestro I’m almost certain you’d have to have the switch sorry! You are very welcome!
Can we have a way without using the PC?
Unfortunately the only way to do it without a pc is to buy a 3ds with everything preinstalled, and hope that pksm is installed and up to date. I don't know if there is any way that doesn't require a pc for some part of the process.
What does CFW stand for
Custom firmware. It's really easy to install and takes about 15-25 minutes your first time.

I just got my shiny charm in Oras coz of this😏
Very nice!
ur amazing!!! thank u!!!
I wouldn't go that far, but thank you!:D
@@SleepyTaylor no I would say that really!
Thank you. I want to transfer my Lake of Rage Gyarados to USUM, but I despise Gen 5 and don't have a Pokemon Bank liscense.
What's wrong with Gen 5? (other than the crazy prices for those games nowadays)
Or just use pksm
Then you just drag the mon into their storage bank, change games, and drag it into a new game.
precheater no problem! Good luck, if you have any other questions just shoot me a comment:)
precheater do you have the fbi app already? It should’ve had you go into it and install some stuff I do believe.
Custom firmware and homebrew are one in the same, to my understanding. After you have fbi, just download pksm on your computer, put it on your 3ds sd card and then install it with fbi. You could probably look for a video about installing apps with fbi for a set by step:)
precheater you need to get homebrew AND cfw to get pksm to work. I got homebrew only at first and it didn’t work lol there’s a recent video posted by someone (forgot his name) but it’s super simple to follow and it’s for the 3ds firmware 11.13
With all that money you might as well buy a year pass
A year pass for what?
I'm glad you think I have a lot of money, but I am poor lmao
@@SleepyTaylor a year pass for pokemon Bank is 4.99
@@scarlettate6030 but it's closing, why would I waste money, especially when it's going to be free? Plus I rarely transfer mons these days.
Is there a way to get these Pokémon onto Pokémon home?
@@SleepyTaylor I see, thank you
Uhhhh, if I don’t want to risk bricking my girlfriend’s 3DS (which I’m borrowing + I’m prone to breaking everything) is there any way I could PayPal you to trade me a certain Pokémon through Home? 😂
I don’t take donations/payments for trades(because I’m pretty sure Nintendo could come after me lol) what are you trying to transfer/trade?
@@SleepyTaylor That's fair. And ehhhh I know I can probably find a way to get most legendaries before gen 6, but I really want a shiny Mew and Arceus. I haven't been able to transfer a single one to HOME and I've tried multiple codes for each ;-;
Carson Lewis I don’t hack mons in, so unless you already have them I can’t really help out sorry:/
If you have the mons I can try to transfer them for you, but I can’t hack Pokémon in. Sorry:(
@@SleepyTaylor It's all good!
Ban?
nope. i have only heard of getting banned if you have stolen games.
@WhinyDogFish I wasn’t sure what he meant by “ban?”
So I assumed he meant getting your account banned for having custom firmware on your 3ds.

Thanks for sharing! I am sure some people will find that info useful!
Hey nice hacked Arceus
only in the terms of nintendo didn't want it in games past gen 5 so I made my own way. The reaction is on the channel
