If it’s a Japanese pokemon then it will be Japanese. So like the Mew Event from Emerald is in Japanese and will always be Japanese as that’s the only place the event was available. Same with shiny Diancie and the other events. But if you make the pokemon yourself with your USA ENG Region games then it’ll be in English when making pokemon yourself

I'ma be honest- I forgot there was a save folder in the nds folder, I kept looking at the save folder in the rom folder. Other games like crystal chronicles save to that folder so, yeah.

I already got PKSM installed via FBI, the big thing I wanted to learn was the locating of the gamesaves and how PKSM finds it. I've been wanting to move archive Pokemon from real carts to Gen 6/7, into Bank, and then into Home. This gave me all the info I needed to know to get started. Thanks!

Alrighty so I’m gonna write everything down exactly how it’s done. If you’re getting a wrong size error- that’s only caused by a rom that is (fake) aka not dumped from an actual cartridge or not the proper file grabbed. So to begin: Collect the dex in the game Collect your starter Save the game Head to PKSM Press X Misc Tab Extra saves DS/3DS tab Press your game Press A to add save Roms folder-nds folder- Saves folder-Pokémon (blank) Version.sav Once the save is added- press B till you get back to the PKSM base menu From there press Y DS/3DS tab Click your game and then open the save
.nds is a game file not a save file so you’re grabbing the wrong thing. The save is in the saves folder with .SAV not .nds SAV=Save So go to your roms folder, nds folder, saves folder and locate the Pokémon (whatever game).SAV and add it Then once it’s added- go to PKSM menu and open the virtual console menu I think by pressing X or Y on the main menu. Then click 3DS/DS tab and locate the game you added the save on, and your save will be there

you mean the “NDS cias” for Cias you just enter the game and save within the game when you either get a pkmn or receive the pokedex. Then create a save backup on checkpoint then head to PKSM immediately and that’s it

You use the save file. What you’re doing is using the game file and not the save file Go to roms folder- nds folder and Saves folder and locate you .SAV Also if you’re using a cartridge game, a 3DS game or a GBA Rom then it’s a different method. Once you add your Save, go to the PKSM menu and open the virtual console menu, locate the 3DS/DS tab and locate your game and it’ll show your save you can enter and edit

You place the pkmn from the DS games into PKSM Storage and then go onto a 3DS game for PKSM and go back into storage and grab the pkmn from there. Place them in your 3DS game save and then use bank as normal

There's only one twilight menu cia file instead of 2 in my .7z file, also my SD card doesn't have a "cias" folder so what should I do? 2:48 is where it tells me to move a file I don't have to a folder I don't have. Should I just make a "cias" folder and move the "twilight menu.cia" there?
You’d really only need the cia file and yes make a cias folder. Your console is modded right? Cause all that stuff should already be part of your SD as soon as you CFW. (Stated right in the beginning of the video as well as pin that it’s for CFW only)
Yeah, I have the homebrew launcher and everything, I tried to get twilight installer by downloading it from the direct downloaded on the 3ds but then deleted it when I found this guide, maybe it deleted that folder 🤔

Are you making sure you’re actually using your save and not the rom? After going into the roms folder- the saves folder and click your Pokémon.SAV file

Ofc, wait wait here here so that you can do this on Carts as well or 3DS roms. And lemme tell u about GBA as well. When needing to send them over to other games- place all pkmn in storage of PKSM and then enter PKSM on another game and go into storage to bring it over. You can also use Pkmn bank freely without issue

People who I thought were my friends just using me as entertainment to laugh at, made fun of me for being poor then having the nerve to try to make me out to be a bad person for selling personal customized pokemon as an optional choice alongside with giving them away for free anyways. Then I was focusing on my personal life after a family member passed away and I had to leave for 2 weeks and they were mad I didn’t cater to their entertainment within those 2 weeks which was nothing but me being a guinea pig for them to test out hacks within Mario kart 7 all night. Then the community stressing me out to come back to giving away pokemon when I needed time away. So basically just too many negative and selfish people so I just gave it up. I also wanted to solely do tutorials and gaming videos after Pokemon servers dropped for the 3DS but I thought maybe I’d rather start off on a fresh channel outside of this someday

Ik im late about this kinda stuff but tbh in my plaitnum save I tried to make my team shiny because I like my teams shinys but when I loaded up to the save my whole teams is fainted and the hp was 0/0 so I want to know about this fix this problem because I’ve grown attacked to my Pokémon team

So the latest update of PKSM has a stupid bug for Gen 4. Editing pkmn in your party makes them have 0 HP and perma fainted. The “solved” resolution until the next update is to make or edit pkmn in the boxes. Not the party. And then place them in your party afterwards and saving. But yeah Gen 4 has an issue for whatever reason
@@MikasaModsok I was gonna ask this but I forgot to and it’s been pretty long so when I was trying to add a pokemon to HeartGold save and when I changed the regular pokeball to an Ultra ball and I legalized it the Ultra ball changed back into a regular pokeball, is this meant to happen or I need to do something else to keep the pokeball to an ultra ball and plus I’ve been wanting to add like a shiny mythical like a Darkrai but obviously it can’t get auto legalized so is it just because it’s shiny locked or I need to do something else
It depends- so auto legalize the pkmn and then change the pokeball and check if it’s still legal- if it says it’s not after changing the pokeball then that means it cannot be in that type of pokeball. Pokeball affects legality as some pokeballs were not allowed to be used for certain pkmn in gens 6 and prior

This is the way to add gen 4 & 5 nds pokemon games to the 3DS System. Nice, then I have some work to do for mine console. Then I have all of them on one, till all are one 💪🏼
I definitely suggest getting all the Roms for DS using VimnsLair (The Vault) you can look that up on google. Once getting all the Roms and such setup- you can also use NDS forwarder that you can find in the “Universal Updater App cia” and it makes all the Roms go onto the homescreen now on the 3DS. To find 3DS games for free you can use Hshop, it’ll also be available for things like getting Pokémon bank without Eshop. They work. It was some work but now I have gen 1 to 7 on mine 2DS XL. Im still trying to get mine gen 1 to 3 German version pokemon as Virtuele console but no luck yet. Do you know or have a video how I can make that work ? They can be played but PKMS dont noticed them
You followed what I said about the “titles” ^ It has to be from the link I sent u for the games being on your home menu. Then I wrote how it goes onto PKSM by writing the title ID for the game on PKSM

That means yours isn’t updated, so update your PKSM. Delete it and download the latest version and also make sure your console is updated to the latest firmware
I have all the pkmn games but for the life of me i cant seem to find pkm fire red i played the games made a save but as i go into PKSM i cant find the save i try finding the save but cant seem to find it i get a message not a valid save file so im missing something

GBA saves via twilight menu with be in the GBA folder of the roms folder and then click the saves folder of twilight menu But if you’re using a physical copy or downloaded copy cia- then you use checkpoint not this method

Too much ram means you aren’t using a save file. All saves automatically go to the same place. Go to your roms folder, locate your nds folder then it should have a saves folder. And in the saves folder for example it should have like Pokémon black.SAV

@@MikasaMods no I was using my save. It's just the way I did it is why it didn't work. You went into a side menu to add the game save I was trying to add the save on the open page where you select your game save when it's already set up and working
Yes I have a question. I tried to add events to my friends Platinum Pokemon physical cart on my homebrewed 3DS. it added the data, but now the 3ds won't even read the game. Is there any way I can reverse this?
If it’s a physical cart then this tutorial doesn’t help with that hence why I specify to not attempt this with real copies because it’s for roms not carts which have different data. I have a tutorial for cartridges
So on the right side if you click event ENG language it’ll show u all the English Celebi events. It won’t matter which one cause it’s just showing that there were 3 English events for Celebi in HGSS.

Is the pkmn black game on twilight or on home menu? If on home menu and an official copy- you use a different method and I’ll send that link •If via Twilight menu and a rom. Make sure u have the pokedex and saved •Go to PKSM-Open the Misc Tab Menu-Extra Saves- Roms Folder-and try to locate your (saves folder) and it should be in there.

Hello. Is there a way to get a Manaphy into OR/AS? I used action replay to get them into my Platinum. I used PKSM I transferred the eggs from Platinum to Black and White and they still looked like Manaphy Eggs, but then I used PKSM again to move them to AS but they’re regular eggs and they look normal and aren’t hatching.

Is your PKSM at the latest version? If it is not- delete the current one and install the latest PKSM, backing up save freezing is usually caused by firmware and software not matching so if your console can also be updated- make sure to update Luma and Update your system to the latest version

Hello I made some pokemon on pksm and saved it. When I boot up the black 2 catridge i do not see the pokemons. Im trying to add the save file like in the video but black 2 is not under roms its an actual cartridge. Where do i find it on my 3ds?
Hi, I’ve been watching your videos about PKSM for a bit now, they seriously came in clutch! But something is off with my Save file. I’m playing Pokémon platinum and followed all your steps, I even made sure that PKSM was up-to-date, but my screen is still frozen on the “backing up save file” screen I made sure to hit the “Pt: saves” folder like you did If it means anything, the download of Pokémon platinum I got online had (Xenophobia) at the title. Also, there were more than one safe file showing up whenever I wanted to choose a save file, except they’re all numbers. Do you mind helping me out?
Yeah that does have slight contribution So the roms you’re looking for mainly have to be AP patched, so the DS/3DS had an anti piracy checker and any game that doesn’t have its proper “Pokemon (Blank) (USA,JPN,FRE,EU) etc” wouldn’t be marked as a proper rom. Secondly be sure not only PKSM is up to date but that your console is at the highest update and your Luma files Lastly: yes when saving in game, make sure you at least got your starter pkmn before hand and the dex. Then head to PKSM, Press X on the menu, Press the option “MISC” and go to extra saves option. You will then click the Pokémon game you wish to add a save- go to your roms folder, inside will be the proper nds folder and inside that will be the “saves” folder. You will click on Pokémon platinum. SAV (make sure it says SAV and not nds as nds is the rom itself and not the save) Once the save has been added, go back to PKSM main menu and press Y, then locate the “3DS/DS” virtual console tab and select the game you added the save from and then select your save which for DS games should I believe just say “game save file” or something like that and you can then edit pkmn as you’d like.

Pokémon white 2 says it’s missing binaries and get a clean dump of the rom or start DS mode. When I press DS mode and load the game it just goes onto a black screen the whole time. What can I do?
Question. I have a reproduction cartridge of Pokémon soul silver, it’s already kinda iffy on my 3ds having to start a new adventure and resetting the game and then the game will load my save, but pksm won’t see the game in the card slot! So I have to trade Pokemon with platinum to edit them XD. But thanks for the help because now I can edit my roms!
Reproduction cartridges have production flaws such as mileage limits of compatibility uses and also runtime constraints so it’ll freeze or be super slow compared to actual games or using twilight roms to compare. Your best bet is to just get a soul silver rom onto twilight and copy and paste your save into the save folder of twilight rom folder. Also I think reproduction carts can’t be used with PKSM as it’s not an actual game slot. R4s are nothing more than what twilight menu is but put on a blank cartridge with the modding system to open the R4 bootstrap menu to start your game. So to prevent the system detecting a faulty cartridge, it blocks off a lot of things. I suggest just using twilight menu as twilight is the use of actual game cartridges that have been dumped into rom files. So it’s legit games being used that’s why PKSM detects them.

Also R4s do work for PkHex on computer btw so if you don’t wanna restart your SS and just wanna edit pkmn on it I suggest finding your .sav and placing it into PkHex. So locate on google- PkHex and download the exe. Launch it- on top left click “file-open” and locate your R4 save. So in this case is pokemon soulsilver.sav Open it and you can edit whatever you’d like and then once you’re done- just click on the top left “File-export-export main” and confirm to overwrite the file you already have as it’ll save the changes you’ve made. Hey it keeps creating Japanese names on my nicknames for pokemon, do you know how I can fix it?
If it’s a Japanese pokemon then it will be Japanese. So like the Mew Event from Emerald is in Japanese and will always be Japanese as that’s the only place the event was available. Same with shiny Diancie and the other events.
But if you make the pokemon yourself with your USA ENG Region games then it’ll be in English when making pokemon yourself

I already got PKSM installed via FBI, the big thing I wanted to learn was the locating of the gamesaves and how PKSM finds it. I've been wanting to move archive Pokemon from real carts to Gen 6/7, into Bank, and then into Home. This gave me all the info I needed to know to get started. Thanks!

Alrighty so I’m gonna write everything down exactly how it’s done. If you’re getting a wrong size error- that’s only caused by a rom that is (fake) aka not dumped from an actual cartridge or not the proper file grabbed.
So to begin:
Collect the dex in the game
Collect your starter
Save the game
Head to PKSM
Press X
Misc Tab
Extra saves
DS/3DS tab
Press your game
Press A to add save
Roms folder-nds folder- Saves folder-Pokémon (blank) Version.sav
Once the save is added- press B till you get back to the PKSM base menu
From there press Y
DS/3DS tab
Click your game and then open the save

.nds is a game file not a save file so you’re grabbing the wrong thing.
The save is in the saves folder with .SAV not .nds
SAV=Save
So go to your roms folder, nds folder, saves folder and locate the Pokémon (whatever game).SAV and add it
Then once it’s added- go to PKSM menu and open the virtual console menu I think by pressing X or Y on the main menu. Then click 3DS/DS tab and locate the game you added the save on, and your save will be there

You use the save file.
What you’re doing is using the game file and not the save file
Go to roms folder- nds folder and Saves folder and locate you .SAV
Also if you’re using a cartridge game, a 3DS game or a GBA Rom then it’s a different method.
Once you add your Save, go to the PKSM menu and open the virtual console menu, locate the 3DS/DS tab and locate your game and it’ll show your save you can enter and edit

You place the pkmn from the DS games into PKSM Storage and then go onto a 3DS game for PKSM and go back into storage and grab the pkmn from there. Place them in your 3DS game save and then use bank as normal

There's only one twilight menu cia file instead of 2 in my .7z file, also my SD card doesn't have a "cias" folder so what should I do? 2:48 is where it tells me to move a file I don't have to a folder I don't have. Should I just make a "cias" folder and move the "twilight menu.cia" there?
You’d really only need the cia file and yes make a cias folder. Your console is modded right? Cause all that stuff should already be part of your SD as soon as you CFW. (Stated right in the beginning of the video as well as pin that it’s for CFW only)
Yeah, I have the homebrew launcher and everything, I tried to get twilight installer by downloading it from the direct downloaded on the 3ds but then deleted it when I found this guide, maybe it deleted that folder 🤔

Are you making sure you’re actually using your save and not the rom? After going into the roms folder- the saves folder and click your Pokémon.SAV file

How do I get event Pokémon from the event database to games like Pokémon platinum or Pokémon white?
By using the events tab, injecting the event and then going to the pokemart and speaking with the delivery man

People who I thought were my friends just using me as entertainment to laugh at, made fun of me for being poor then having the nerve to try to make me out to be a bad person for selling personal customized pokemon as an optional choice alongside with giving them away for free anyways.
Then I was focusing on my personal life after a family member passed away and I had to leave for 2 weeks and they were mad I didn’t cater to their entertainment within those 2 weeks which was nothing but me being a guinea pig for them to test out hacks within Mario kart 7 all night.
Then the community stressing me out to come back to giving away pokemon when I needed time away. So basically just too many negative and selfish people so I just gave it up. I also wanted to solely do tutorials and gaming videos after Pokemon servers dropped for the 3DS but I thought maybe I’d rather start off on a fresh channel outside of this someday

You might be either using a false rom or accidentally not using the .sav and using the game file by accident

Emulation? Twilight menu isn’t an emulator therefore it doesn’t have a 2x nor 4x option. It’s straight up just a DS play menu, not emulation
Ik im late about this kinda stuff but tbh in my plaitnum save I tried to make my team shiny because I like my teams shinys but when I loaded up to the save my whole teams is fainted and the hp was 0/0 so I want to know about this fix this problem because I’ve grown attacked to my Pokémon team

And are you trying to edit your party?
@@MikasaModsyes I’m trying to edit my Pokémon but the only thing that’s harmless is editing my Pokémon’s level and stats but what does and yes it’s on DPPT
So the latest update of PKSM has a stupid bug for Gen 4. Editing pkmn in your party makes them have 0 HP and perma fainted. The “solved” resolution until the next update is to make or edit pkmn in the boxes. Not the party. And then place them in your party afterwards and saving.
But yeah Gen 4 has an issue for whatever reason
@@MikasaModsok I was gonna ask this but I forgot to and it’s been pretty long so when I was trying to add a pokemon to HeartGold save and when I changed the regular pokeball to an Ultra ball and I legalized it the Ultra ball changed back into a regular pokeball, is this meant to happen or I need to do something else to keep the pokeball to an ultra ball and plus I’ve been wanting to add like a shiny mythical like a Darkrai but obviously it can’t get auto legalized so is it just because it’s shiny locked or I need to do something else
It depends- so auto legalize the pkmn and then change the pokeball and check if it’s still legal- if it says it’s not after changing the pokeball then that means it cannot be in that type of pokeball. Pokeball affects legality as some pokeballs were not allowed to be used for certain pkmn in gens 6 and prior

This is the way to add gen 4 & 5 nds pokemon games to the 3DS System. Nice, then I have some work to do for mine console. Then I have all of them on one, till all are one 💪🏼
I definitely suggest getting all the Roms for DS using VimnsLair (The Vault) you can look that up on google. Once getting all the Roms and such setup- you can also use NDS forwarder that you can find in the “Universal Updater App cia” and it makes all the Roms go onto the homescreen now on the 3DS.
To find 3DS games for free you can use Hshop, it’ll also be available for things like getting Pokémon bank without Eshop. You can go to FBI (remote install and scan this QR code to get the 3DS app of Hshop. hshop.erista.me/3hs (scroll down a bit till you see the QR)
Then lastly for GBA games

They work. It was some work but now I have gen 1 to 7 on mine 2DS XL. Im still trying to get mine gen 1 to 3 German version pokemon as Virtuele console but no luck yet.

That means yours isn’t updated, so update your PKSM. Delete it and download the latest version and also make sure your console is updated to the latest firmware

Hey Community, can someone please help me? Unfortunately, I saved/placed my DS games, etc., not in the ROMs folder, so I can't make those save plots like she does. It doesn't work because it says it's too much RAM for a save. Please help me. 😭
Too much ram means you aren’t using a save file. All saves automatically go to the same place. Go to your roms folder, locate your nds folder then it should have a saves folder. And in the saves folder for example it should have like Pokémon black.SAV

@@MikasaMods no I was using my save. It's just the way I did it is why it didn't work. You went into a side menu to add the game save I was trying to add the save on the open page where you select your game save when it's already set up and working

Yes I have a question. I tried to add events to my friends Platinum Pokemon physical cart on my homebrewed 3DS. it added the data, but now the 3ds won't even read the game. Is there any way I can reverse this?
If it’s a physical cart then this tutorial doesn’t help with that hence why I specify to not attempt this with real copies because it’s for roms not carts which have different data. I have a tutorial for cartridges

For the events, does it matter which English one I pick? E.g. for the celebi event in HGSS, there’s 3 English ones.
So on the right side if you click event ENG language it’ll show u all the English Celebi events. It won’t matter which one cause it’s just showing that there were 3 English events for Celebi in HGSS.

I've come to a bit of a road block in trying to find the .sav for my Pokemon Black. My .sav for it doesnt show in the folder.

•If via Twilight menu and a rom. Make sure u have the pokedex and saved
•Go to PKSM-Open the Misc Tab Menu-Extra Saves- Roms Folder-and try to locate your (saves folder) and it should be in there.
It's on my Twilight menu. I did finally find it though, my roms are all organized in secondary folders and a save folder was made in the folder the black rom is in ^^

Hello. Is there a way to get a Manaphy into OR/AS? I used action replay to get them into my Platinum. I used PKSM I transferred the eggs from Platinum to Black and White and they still looked like Manaphy Eggs, but then I used PKSM again to move them to AS but they’re regular eggs and they look normal and aren’t hatching.
There are no manaphy eggs in ORAS just being regular manaphy to ORAS or make one in ORAS or use the events tab in ORAS :)

Use this^ and then when using PKSM for ORAS- go to the events tab and inject The Manaphy event into your game
Whenever I got to the “backing up save” bit on a NDS game, PKSM freezes. Does anyone know how to sort this?
Is your PKSM at the latest version? If it is not- delete the current one and install the latest PKSM, backing up save freezing is usually caused by firmware and software not matching so if your console can also be updated- make sure to update Luma and Update your system to the latest version

Hi, I’ve been watching your videos about PKSM for a bit now, they seriously came in clutch!
But something is off with my Save file. I’m playing Pokémon platinum and followed all your steps, I even made sure that PKSM was up-to-date, but my screen is still frozen on the “backing up save file” screen
I made sure to hit the “Pt: saves” folder like you did
If it means anything, the download of Pokémon platinum I got online had (Xenophobia) at the title. Also, there were more than one safe file showing up whenever I wanted to choose a save file, except they’re all numbers.

Yeah that does have slight contribution
So the roms you’re looking for mainly have to be AP patched, so the DS/3DS had an anti piracy checker and any game that doesn’t have its proper “Pokemon (Blank) (USA,JPN,FRE,EU) etc” wouldn’t be marked as a proper rom.
Secondly be sure not only PKSM is up to date but that your console is at the highest update and your Luma files
Lastly: yes when saving in game, make sure you at least got your starter pkmn before hand and the dex. Then head to PKSM, Press X on the menu, Press the option “MISC” and go to extra saves option. You will then click the Pokémon game you wish to add a save- go to your roms folder, inside will be the proper nds folder and inside that will be the “saves” folder. You will click on Pokémon platinum. SAV (make sure it says SAV and not nds as nds is the rom itself and not the save)
Once the save has been added, go back to PKSM main menu and press Y, then locate the “3DS/DS” virtual console tab and select the game you added the save from and then select your save which for DS games should I believe just say “game save file” or something like that and you can then edit pkmn as you’d like.

Pokémon white 2 says it’s missing binaries and get a clean dump of the rom or start DS mode. When I press DS mode and load the game it just goes onto a black screen the whole time. What can I do?

I have a reproduction cartridge of Pokémon soul silver, it’s already kinda iffy on my 3ds having to start a new adventure and resetting the game and then the game will load my save, but pksm won’t see the game in the card slot! So I have to trade Pokemon with platinum to edit them XD. But thanks for the help because now I can edit my roms!
Reproduction cartridges have production flaws such as mileage limits of compatibility uses and also runtime constraints so it’ll freeze or be super slow compared to actual games or using twilight roms to compare. Your best bet is to just get a soul silver rom onto twilight and copy and paste your save into the save folder of twilight rom folder. Also I think reproduction carts can’t be used with PKSM as it’s not an actual game slot. R4s are nothing more than what twilight menu is but put on a blank cartridge with the modding system to open the R4 bootstrap menu to start your game. So to prevent the system detecting a faulty cartridge, it blocks off a lot of things. I suggest just using twilight menu as twilight is the use of actual game cartridges that have been dumped into rom files. So it’s legit games being used that’s why PKSM detects them.

Also R4s do work for PkHex on computer btw so if you don’t wanna restart your SS and just wanna edit pkmn on it I suggest finding your .sav and placing it into PkHex.
So locate on google- PkHex and download the exe. Launch it- on top left click “file-open” and locate your R4 save. So in this case is pokemon soulsilver.sav
Open it and you can edit whatever you’d like and then once you’re done- just click on the top left
“File-export-export main” and confirm to overwrite the file you already have as it’ll save the changes you’ve made. If you need any help plz lemme know

Roms folder- nds folder and then it should show the saves folder. If you don’t have a saves folder it means you either didn’t place the folders in the correct spot or you don’t have a save for any games

Whenever i try to load the save in pksm the 3DS freezes on me
That means you have extra save backups enabled. Go to PKSM and disable backups.
Also make sure your console and PKSM is up to date

How do you not have FBI? if you don’t have FBI-Checkpoint and all the necessary Homebrew apps then your console isn’t properly modded and has risk of corruption.
Download and install the necessary package for the Homebrew apps
Complete the modding process and install the finalized apps
