Hello People! Thank you for joining me for this Brian May autograph preservation job. Cheers, Scotty D., Harpeth Guitar Restoration, LLC. Nashville, Tennessee
That scared the shit out of me when you were rubbing over the signature with lighter fluid and sandpaper! You need balls to work on other peoples guitars and a lot of confidence Thanks for the video Scott ❤ from England
You are THE MAN when it comes to anything guitar finish related. I keep saying this, but Scottie, I watch tons of guitar repair and build videos and no one, not even close, does the level of quality you put into every finish job. You have so many different potions and compounds, plus every grit of sandpaper/polishing pad, known to man. Really impressive work and something to be proud of. Great job!
I've got a bridge that looks a lot like that one on a charvel I didn't know it was a Wilkinson I never knew what it was works really good rock on Scott. 👍
cool guitar ,back in 2005 I won a Autographed Guitar of Jimi page and Robert Plant from the Local Rock Station its been in the case ,its a Kramer which im pretty sure Jimi has never played but still pretty cool ,I plan on making a case for it with a glass front to display it I dont think I will ever play it I have but just a few strums
The trem on the original Red Special has springs under the D shaped plastic plate. The Wilkinson trem doesn't have this so on this guitar it's only there for looks.
Question (and pardon my lack of knowing): Is there a reason you didm't use a powered buffer for the final finish? Would that have made it easier, or is that a no-no?

Wizard with the finish well done

My brother got his autograph at his book signing for one his Astronomy books about the Big Bang that he studied for his Doctorate, super nice guy.
I can relate. I spent the last two days working a nitro finish on a scratch acoustic build. My hand is mud.
You're a braver man than me

If you mess it up, you could always get Brian to sign it again 🫤
Hell Yeah 👍🏻
Pucker factor 9 But good job
Imho you are crazy to take on this project. It’s a sharpie for goodness sakes. One wrong swipe and… but you rocked it!
Interesting that the signature on the body looks nothing like the signature on the head-stock...🤨
Is this guitar neck heavy?
Not in my opinion
@@harpethguitar thanks

Maybe that would have helped!
