- Hello People!
Guild Starfire III Neck Reset episode 2…….
When I talked about using a clothing iron to heat the fretboard extension, I placed the iron on the frets, not on the rosewood. I heat treated the neck before pulling the frets.

Top class repairs, and thanks for showing us all your techniques, tools and materials. Good videos!
Thanks for watching!
Like that guitar. Glad you got all the various wipes and dissolves out of your system in Part 1.
I don't think I could ever do that kind of work and be any good at it at all but it sure is a lot of fun to watch You.
Hey man I appreciate your approach to repairs. Enjoy your willingness to go beyond the traditional repair methods. Each repair gets what it needs.
Especially enjoy your sense of humour.
Nice work mate!
Those close up shots are perfect, Mr. Scott!! Love your work!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank You 🙏
That's some slinky action, I like it. Awesome work you do.
Thanks! 😁
Nice! If you look up the Safety Data Sheet for the GB accelerator it's safe from Cancer-causing ingredients.
That is good to know. I’ll spread the word. 👍🏻
Excellent job! your work is amazing!
Thank You 🙏
Nice trick on the small add to the dovetail. I have a neck reset coming up and need all the help I can get!
Another very entertaining and informative video. great job!
Good job man 👏
Nice job Scotty D
Looks great man.
nice job!
Good work! It sounds great! Somebody is going to be very pleased! Especially with the action setup! Thanx for sharing!
Very nice work you did on this oldie Guild. Beautiful! I have an earlier serial number 1966, but fortunately it doesn’t need a neck reset, and plays pretty good. It’s always been kept in the case, so it’s still in good condition. I’m not qualified to do the work you did on this one, except the tuners, but I learned a lot, and it was really interesting.
Thank You 🙏
The colour and all the fixtures and fittings remind me heavily of a Hofner Verythin I worked on from the same era. I can't imagine it is the case, but are they connected in some way?
Thank You Matthew!
I don’t think I’ve ever worked on a Hofner or even heard of a “Verythin” so I don’t know but I’m a big fan of Paul McCartney and his Hofner bass 🤓
really cool guitar, I recently played the reissue (modern) model and it's also very nice.
New sub, digging the content. And super glue is my favorite. It’s like pin or Brad nails for Norm Abram; why would I do a project without it?
Love your videos! Learn alot! Big fan of shellac as well for touch ups. What brand is the Bordeaux dye?
Thanks! I think it’s available from both ColorTone & TransTint.
Just discovered you. Randomly in my recommendations. Apparently you are right by my house. Crazy. I should bring you some guitars. Assume you do much simpler stuff than this too. Have a guitar I don't think the bridge is in the right spot. And 1 or 2 I probably need the frets leveled and crowned. Not high end or vintage guitars. You may not do that stuff. If you do....I guess let me know. I could walk there. I wouldn't, but I could.
Awesome! Yes indeed I do all the basic maintenance work. Send me a text or reply back with your number and I’ll contact you.

Hey there, nice content!!
I saw some Luthiers using solder to loosen the frets, do you think its a bad idea?
Thanks! Solder works great for pulling frets that were glued in place
