When Inside was released on Netflix and my wife and I decided to watch it on a whim, it was the equivalent of randomly choosing to attend the premiere of Beethoven's fifth symphony and being stunned by how unbelievably amazing it is and coming from a person i knew nothing about at the time. Bo is so awesome.
"Eighth Grade" is one of my favourite coming of age films, and I was brought back to my own middle school days. I hope that Burnham creates more projects like this in the future.
My kids showed Bo's music to me because they thought i would like it. they were right. He is very intelligent and funny. Inside was Brilliant. I saw an old man get hit by a train, he didn't see it in the pouring rain, he didn't hear me yell get out of the way, because I didn't say it, because I thought it was gonna be sad, and it was.
Inside is one of my fave specials ever. Its hilarious and painful at the same time. Its so raw and exposed at points. "You say the ocean's rising like I give a shit You say the whole world's ending, honey, it already did You're not gonna slow it, Heaven knows you tried Got it? Good, now get inside" Bo having an argument with his own depression. Ouch. I liked Bo already before this, but this was a revelation. Good shit. Watch it.
Never watched his TH-cam videos nor stand up bit. Never knew he existed or who he was. I only watched INSIDE and nothing else, I think it was a M.A.S.T.E.R.P.I.E.C.E. I don't care if what he did or what will he do next, INSIDE is a legendary and unique movie.
The fact Inside is such a masterpiece and also perfectly resonates with the time it came out. We were so starved of social interaction after 1 year of covid. Then Inside comes out and while Covid now seems like a long time ago, I watch it again and it takes me back to that feeling of being suppressed and stuck.
Used to run home to watch Zack Stone is gonna be famous. Been a massive Bo fan my entirely life, he practically laid the foundation for my sense of humor.
What amazes me is he transcended the "prop comic" label and has mass respect in the stand up community. Music/comedy is viewed as kind of cheating, because you can be mediocre at both but get laughs. He was so good that even his peers didn't view him as a simple prop comic and give him respect.
If I could say anything to the man, I would apologize on behalf of the human race for our failure to prove ourselves even remotely worthy of the staggering brilliance we were gifted thru his comedy, which I personally find falls nothing short of reaching that elusive prize which in the parlance of snobby pretentious art wankers is referred to as The Sublime. To echo a sentiment of another insufficiently appreciated genius, Mr Wayne White, I would say Bo Burnham's ouvre is "so beautiful it hurts my feelings."
Does anyone here understood the whole? Because I can say that his work was resonating with my spiritual journey and now, being quite deep let's say I watched Inside Deluxe, Make happy and Inside Outtakes and felt like I was participating in some VR/reality tv where many things being said in the shows just hit in places while I was doing some cleaning and thinking random shit. Namaste
Great video. I was curious what he was up to but glad that he's able to create in a more fufiling way for him. I hope that he can find peace knowing he is having a very real impact on the world.
I want to see him tour again as I went to his last two tours but I also feel selfish. I guess I want him to be okay enough to tour again and do Inside live.
mate for sure, brilliant suggestion, Mr Timothy Minchin would also be my guest as would my Son bc he's wickedly funny, quick, dry with lovely dark humor & a couple of my best friends bc nothing beats hearing your mates laugh, 1 of which would be my Partner who like our Son is very bloody funny. @Lou-T-Fisk really great suggestion!! THANQ!! Got me thinking & scheming lol
He simply had tired of the nonsense that comes alongside such fame... Who can blame the man? I couldn't ever humor any of the abject insanity that come from so many of these absolute nobodies that are out here just trolling... so mockingly scornful of everyone & everything that may have achieved an amount of success and all out of nothing but their pathetic sense of spiteful resentment. A lot of folks suck, & there's just no way around that sad fact.
is he doing fine!?.... idk since the release of his MASTERPIECE Inside, he's not doing anything... as you kinda pointed it out in this vid! Anyway the guy is a genius and if i could ask him one question it would be.... Why TF is the door to your guess house so small!!??
He had such a more serious role in promising young woman, I liked him in that role, and I’ve started watching Zach stone is gonna be famous, it’s crazy how MTV didn’t see it’s potential….but then again it’s MTV.
his tv show Zach stone is gonna be famous is so good! I just randomly watched one day while it was on netflix and it's hilarious, sucks it only lasted a season.
I felt very strange about Inside. Parts of it were brilliant - all the staging and lighting was good, as has been pointed out. I guess I found the content lacking. A lot of the time it just seemed like he was indulging his own spiralling depression, and not in a comedic way. It seems to have connected with plenty of people, so maybe it's just me. A lot of self-aware media made in the pandemic has not aged well in my opinion. Still, I love Bo. He's a singular talent and a ridiculously thoughtful and down to earth famous person, he's basically a unicorn. Long may he find success and, most importantly, happiness and contentment.
A potentially interesting portrait of an interesting comedian/director lost because of the juvinal humour in this video and narrating tricks that are a bore in each of these videos. Such a waste of time.
There are so many factual inaccuracies in this video I've lost count. This is tantamount to tabloid trash and things like this are possibly another reason for his withdrawal from the public eye. Absolute rubbish.
I think im undiagnosed on the spectrum, or at least adhd positive. This entire segment was thoroughly interesting. But every 10 seconds I felt like swiping to a new video. Conflicting signals in my brain. Odd. Never noticed this before. I centered myself and chose not to skip forward in the video. Made it to the end, by the end. Only 17 minutes too. Shorter than a college class. Yet the restlessness was there.
It's interesting how u try so hard to be funny, whilst, simultaneously putting minimal effort into ur joke writing. Like u make the same exact "born on his/her birthday" joke, every. Single. Video. And I promise u, it's not getting any funnier. Just some food for thought. I hope u r hungry.

How could you encapsulate the exact feeling? I was also watching with my (then) wife....
Mel blanc was in daffy southern exposure 1942
@@nicolamcguinness8689Is this advised?
Welcome to the Internet is a god damn masterpiece
And the rest of inside
@Watermelon_wodka so do i
He told us his whole story in “Can’t Handle This” and it was AMAZING.
"Eighth Grade" is one of my favourite coming of age films, and I was brought back to my own middle school days. I hope that Burnham creates more projects like this in the future.
Let me save you 17 minutes, video creator doesn't know what happened to Bo.
Tbh he stared at the internet and walk away from it

I am grateful for the content he gave us & I feel we expect too much. I genuinely think about Bo every so often and just hope he is happy.

There are no words that could ever begin to describe my admiration for him and his art. He’s a musical genius. He deserved better.
Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous is wildly hilarious and underrated. In fact, all of Bo's art is hilarious and underrated.
Agreed!!
Mel blanc was in new looney tunes

his comedic style should be talked about at universities. An absolute genius of our generation
Great work!!

Inside was fantastic, heart wrenching. He was all of us.

Genuine genius and depression often seem to go hand in hand.
You think you know him!
Bo is no mere comedian. This man is an artist. ❤
Love this video ! I wish we had more Bo’s !!!! We need it ❤️❤️❤️❤️⬆️
Bo was so good in PromisingYoung Woman. Absolute genius casting.
Bro i just looked up bo burnham cuz I missed laughing to his songs n haven’t heard him in a min.
You know whats funny... This came up and I was like... Ya . WTF did happen to Bo.. 30 mins later, now I know..
Sorry the video is only 17 mins long.. but I had to pause it for a phone call . Hence the 30 mins...
Mel blanc was in the looney tunes show
Bo's art is definitely not for everyone, but I hope he keeps making more.
honestly, i kinda of hope he doesn't. it almost feels like the fame is ripping him apart, he's only going to get worse if he continues
“Barely coming out of my breath “ is strangely haunting and beautifully sad.
I want to see him tour again as I went to his last two tours but I also feel selfish. I guess I want him to be okay enough to tour again and do Inside live.
Bo burned is on my top 5 people I would want to share a meal and conversation with.

Mel blanc was in looney tunes rabbits run the day the earth blew up a looney tunes movie

This channel needs more views. I just don’t get it. I don’t want these to stop! Keep em coming!
Yeah I don’t think that Sesame Street movie is happening anymore
Possible future episodes: What happened to Benicio Del Toro, Eric Bana, Tom Jane?
He simply had tired of the nonsense that comes alongside such fame... Who can blame the man?

Nah. Cause the man literally just Disappeared. After announcing a “Sesame Street” movie he was gonna be helping.

I never realized how young he is, I always just assumed he had a babyface.
I was surprised at not seeing "written and directed by Bo Burnham" at the end.
his tv show Zach stone is gonna be famous is so good! I just randomly watched one day while it was on netflix and it's hilarious, sucks it only lasted a season.
I knew all of the words to words words words back in the day, a lot of it is still in there
bro what how am i just hearing about him doing a Sesame Street movie 😂
He just dropped a movie on Netflix inside that shit was Grammy worthy but they lame and he didn't make it because wasn't a live audience

Another great WTF TH-camr video.

Don't do you adds in the middle of the show. At the top or at the end.
He's America's Tom Lehrer for the 21st century.
yt is not social media

He really is a cunning linguist.
Do Justin Bieber next

Absolute rubbish.
Appoligizing for jokes as a comedian is turning in your badge and quitting the force. Career suicide
I like left brain right brain
1:18 Bo Burhdie Pie
