      Fellas! you should see if you can get your hands on a GM atlas LL8 (it's a 4.2L inline 6 overhead cam engine, known here in Canada as a vortec 4200) and do a cool build with one of them! I've got one in my SUV and it's right packed full of nuts!

    Tuning Fork is excellent at this. Calmly and with heaps of knowledge he makes you understand. I´m just interested in car stuff and have no experience or proven skills other than I know some tech stuff in general. Still I get lots and lots of info that I actually understand. Keep 'em videos coming! I just wish that I could have a Barra-engine here in Sweden. Would be nice to put in my old Golf Variant (yes yes, it would be a huge job to convert FWD to RWD but it sure would be fun trying :)

      @beefcakemonsta 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      A stock 2JZ with just a boost modification can reach 400-500whp (345KW) on pump gas. But a 2JZ engine is very expensive around $2500 in a very good condition. So if i were in a budget build who wants to make big power at a cost of 1 stock 2jz. this is your 2nd best bet.

    Im impressed that the engine bay wasnt blinged out. MCM just put the effort into what would make this car go fast.
    Cant wait for the boys to turn the boost up and try some 8s, but might pop the stock internals.

    • @alexcorona
      @alexcorona 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nor Dic it already ran a 9.00 and the internals are fine. This ain't a 302 that will spilt in half at 500hp...

  • @numinous4789
    @numinous4789 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Torque-based tuning = essentially load-based tuning. And good load-based setups adjust for variou ambients, like the higher oxygen content in the cold (creating more load) and lower oxygen content in the heat (creating less load), then adjusting the boost accordingly to equalize power year-round.

    For tyre slip control you want to use a Kalman filter to arbitrate between undriven wheel speed and integrated vehicle acceleration from an accelerometer, (or even better, doppler radar ground tracking or GPS (>10Hz update required) if not banned by your racing regulations) that way you can control tyre slip to a target value in real time, irrespective of the actual run time or track mu....... • @scottthompson292
      @scottthompson292 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not killed by EPA. Killed by Ford. The 'one Ford' global policy led to the closure of all Aussie design and manufacture, and since this motor is designed and built in Aus, it's gone now.

    • @alexcorona
      @alexcorona 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      True... but it's only in more recent years that they've introduced the 'One Ford' policy. Basically their idea is that if they have the same model range world wide they'll save money. That means markets like Australian design and manufacture are killed off in favour of German and american imports.

    Where are the *3 relays and 3 fuses?* 5:45
    Perhaps he meant specifically for a street car. I saw 3 individual 14 maybe 16AWG wires but they were all connected to 1 post per polarity.. and there were no means for controlling the relays within the tank "which would be an unwise move anyway but that kinda depends on things like the stoichiometric ratio, etc."
    I can only presume if there are indeed 3 relays and 3 fuses for all 3 pumps then they are upstream connected to those wires and inherently all "electrically connected" at those posts. I understand that once one fuse or relay failed that the remaining ones would also. However, Iv'e never much liked that style even though it's common in inverters, battery chargers, etc.. I guess it's not so bad being wired down individual cables though and with that, I think I just answered my own question.. :)
