Try a speedometer cable, they work fantastic. Another trick is, fold a zip tie in 1/2 and put the loop into the hole until it fits tight against the inner wall of the tubing. Fish your wire past the zip tie, pull the folded zip tie back out and it should pull your wire out in the loop. I own Audio 2000, that's an old car audio trick.
In the past I’ve taped all the holes closed that I don’t want to push wire through, then use light string and an air nozzle to push the string through. Worked on all my motorcycle handlebars but that’s a shorter run. I’ll try both methods when I put my cage on in a couple weeks
For tight runs, I've cut one of the wires 6" short and the trimmer (or other pull string) replaces that wire. This only works if you have the wire you can spare... After the run I clip the wires so they are the same length wasting about 6" of wire. Also, I pull the electrical tape tight / stretching it so it is thinner. This can make a difference in how easy a line pulls through a narrow spot. Your method here is great, I just hope this tip can help make it that little bit easier next time. I'm definitely using the info you shared to get my light bar put up there when the time comes. I'm going to see if I can get my whips wired that way.
This is a trip! I don’t even own a UTV and I’ve now come across your channel twice looking for how-tos on projects for my Jeep. Last time it was the Switch-Pros RCR Force 12 and now this. Must be a sign. I guess I’ll go with it and subscribe 😂. Great content. 👍
When you were pushing the wire up through the hole. You got to give it that Hawk Tuah, spit on that thang! Sorry I had to lmao Great video tho, learned a lot.
Dang! I’ve used everything feeding it through the cage in my Can Am Defender with a lot of frustration! Never thought about a freaking weed eater line....haha...thanks!
So basically I run everything to the bus bar. Put my ground to the top one the black one and then all my powers to the bottom one red accessory one correct?
It's close to 100 degrees outside. Save me a trip to my garage? Is there a similar hole / method for running whip lights through the cage for a clean install?
Frank wsup ! Put a baja light on , chase light , fosgate radio , sb filter , lighted whips and now my fuse keeps popping that my radio , sb filter and well all my accessories are on what should i do ☹️
Sounds like you're overloading the 30 amp fuse for the accessory circuit.. The accessory circus should be used to turn on the components ..but the component Should be drawing power from the main red battery cable.. ur setup is not properly wired
FrankGLife Saaaas. Just got a 2021, early Xmas gift for the family. Putting some LP4s and the shock mount light on. Hopefully we’ll see you out there soon. Thanks for the vids
FrankGLife thanks for getting back going to get by there Monday who did you talk to If I drop your name will the price go up ha, but I have a rzr turbo so hope the build quality is the same Cya thanks again.

Hey brother any idea on how to run the wire thru the tube cage for my pod light and rock lights/ dome lights
Thank you for the video. I did not know that the Can-Am came with the bus bar
👍👍
Does the 2022 maverick trail dps have the 3 posts to wire lightbars etc instead of using the battery. Thanks
Sorry not familiar with the trail, but i would assume so.. try one of the facebook groups for that machine

Awesome tips!
I bought a Klein wire snake at Home Depot for literally 12 bucks. Works wonders.
Ill look in to that. Good to hear
Your video saved me from buying a fish tape that I would rarely ever use

Hey brother!! How are you attaching rock lights to the tube chassis. I'm using rock lights as "dome lights"
Most of the rock lights ive purchased come with a rubber piece that had the radius of the tube

@@GLifeUTV ok cool started happening when I added chase bar and that only has the red and black wire and connected it to the key on bar
What would be the cause of the light bar making noise through the speakers ? I connected the negative and positive thru the bus barn
Light bar power wires running to close to head unit.. or to close to speaker wire.
@@GLifeUTV what would you recommend me doing there ? Do I just separate so the wires don’t touch or ?
@@marioflores4890 for one yea.. keep them away from ach other so there is no emi
Is the ignition on a positive or a negative ?
Where do you purchase your string in order to run your wire through the cage
Its just string trimmer string from home depot. Brand doesn't really matter
Put a lightweight string on either end and suck it through the other side with a shop vac.
Do u have to disconnect the battery before connecting on that electrical bar
you dont have to. just make sure you dont touch the big red wire and black wire together.. just remove one at a time.
@@GLifeUTV I tried it out today but for some reason the switch stays on even when the can am is off is that normal or did I do something wrong ?
@@2Mjr002 you could follow this video on how to wire a switch ... th-cam.com/video/eMxZTGrcoS4/w-d-xo.html
I use string with toilet paper ball and suck it through with a vacuum.
So you got 2 reds on the bus bar, does it matter which one you land your light terminal on?
Yes.. the main power goes on the bigger red cable.. that is straight to the battery. The small red is the accessory on
