    This is brilliant! Exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We have wood grain hardie board on our new addition in board & batton style. Wanted a wood stain look/color. We got the colors you used here and started this afternoon. Looking great!

    So simple! I was really expecting to have to master some artistic technique. Thank you!

    Hello there, great video! I was wondering how many parts water? How many parts paint was it when you thinned out the darker color?

    Wont this peel at some point being latex? I was thinking a heavy bodied stain would be better. No peel.

    Exactly what ours looks like. Now it’s 15 years later….how to we refinish it with the same look, in place on the house? Just clean and roll new stain on?

    Have you done it with the colors in reverse, using the lighter color last?

      No I haven't. I played with the process using left over paint I had. Then picked out the colors. Looked at weathered wood and tried to reproduce the look.

    Thanks Mark! Would a wide squeegee have been easier or is there another reason to use a small scraper?

    • @thehammondworkshop
      @thehammondworkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's actually a small squeegee that I used. A wider one would probably be easier but really all you need is something that will wipe the paint off of the top of the texture.
