Pokemon Colosseum All Snags Speedrun (

Good starters, amazing catch luck (even before getting Master Ball), and a nice showcase of the new route. Typhlosion is clearly the superior choice for All Snags; it puts in so much more work than Feraligatr! I also really like the new PC deathwarp I found. Makes Qwilfish a lot more consistent, and was fun to route around.

A few years ago, I stumbled upon something interesting: You can actually skip the Lab 2 fights and go straight for Bluno by reading the e-mail (the one at 4:20:28) after passing where Remil appears (the Cipher Peons won't "spawn" unless you read the e-mail before entering)

Yeah that's something we found when we started optimizing the postgame. Unfortunately, trying to catch the Lab shadows on first trip without Master Ball takes longer on average than the time you'd save by skipping the fights, plus you lose a lot of useful exp for deep colosseum. There's other places in the run where I go for consistency just to be safe (not catching Delibird at Realgam for example).

What is the point of plusle for the shadow miltank fight? Is it a range for Porygon 2?

Plusle being in slot 1 helps Espeon setup against Nascour and Evice, since the AI will lock onto Plusle.

Colosseum prints the text box as a whole on one frame, so it makes no difference how long any of the characters' names are. This is different to the main series games which print every letter individually.

That wipeout warp was quite the clever strat, but why do this double-back to snag the qwilfish on the second try, instead of the first time battling it?

pretty sure he meant that if he had access to a pc before phenac then he could deposit umbreon and battle with only espeon, thus giving espeon double exp since umbreon wouldn't take any of it

It's an exploit that was found about a year ago that lets you use Pokemon A's turn to boost Pokemon B, and vice versa.

It's slightly faster if it gets in the first ball, since you can skip Rui's cutscene in the second fight
