    I went to pixel 8 pro, pixel watch 2, and pixel buds pro. Ditched iphone pro max, airpods pro 2nd gen, and apple watch series 7. It was a complete replacement, only thing I miss is find my phone service keeping track of the kids when their out and about. Favorite thing I like about the pixel 8 pro is how thin and light it is compared to iphone pro max. When you get used to the weight and how easy it is to use with one hand for example, then grab your iphone pro max, it feels like a brick.

    One of the features no one mentions about Google Pixel phones is on video you can pause , and start recording again and it's a good transition for quick videos that you need to add several shots too but haven't the time to edit .
    Great video , I've switched to the 8Pro , and also gone all out Google buds pro and pixel watch 2 , and honestly it's like a breath of fresh air , I can only imagine it's like coming out of prison and feeling free again 💁

      I did the same. Once you get used to the new pixel phone its pretty nice. My favorite feature of the pixel 8 pro? Its so light and thin compared to the iphone pro max! Its much easier to hold and more comfortable in your hand. The pixel watch 2, I love again how light and the circular polished rock look. Its very comfortable to wear all day and it shows your heart rate constantly. You don't have to be in a work out. All the other features I used on the apple watch is there are as well, answering calls, responding to text and google assistant is there just like siri was. I used samsung android phones in the past, and I don't miss any of their crap ware and having to disable all their stuff, and getting android beta updates immediately is nice as well. No waiting months for it to maybe come to your phone.

    Honestly I had hope for the Pixel. I switched from iPhone to the Pixel7PRO and enjoyed it for maybe 1 year. I was going to upgrade to the pixel8PRO UNTIL the 7PRO all of a sudden had this beaming green light line vertically and the phone malfunctioned and UNUSABLE.
    After research it is a common problem with the pixel pro.
    Not to mention the Pixel is buggy, dropping calls, interface malfunctions forcing you to reset, among other glitches and malfunctions constantly happening.
    DO NOT SWITCH TO THE PIXEL
    YOU WILL REGRET IT
    doesn’t even matter to me between apple or android. People should be informed that the pixel is not a phone that will last. It’s great out of the box but it is BUGGY and you will be stranded without a phone one day because of its malfunctions.
    DONT DO IT

I also like the extra customization the Android still allows. I'd be more interested in considering iOS as an option if there we various brands offering the platform. I feel like tech reviews, especially in USA, are all following the same hot/cold list of things to discuss about Pixel phones: Pixel=best photo, iPhone=better video, Pixel=best translate AI, iPhone=better apps/blue bubble. Is it all for the algo?! I guess there's just so much focus on non-productive stuff like scrolling on instagram and an intensely scrutinizing color balance on mega zoom images rather than some of the powerful features available on Pixel/Android. Like I switched back to my Pixel purely because Apple's calendar widget doesn't let you scroll ahead on the week and Pixel's does. It's the little things that add up and make it a great productivity tool.

    One of the things to note about the battery is that it is an adaptive battery and will adjust battery consumption over time to get the most out of the battery. So when you first begin to use it, you will undoubtedly consume more battery until the adaptive AI learns how and when you use the phone. A lot of people complain about the battery life when they get the phone without realizing that the battery is adaptive and needs time to learn, which can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks.

    The Pixel platform is definitely the "smartest" phone I've ever seen. Find yourself in a restaurant or something and hear a song you like, but don't know what it is or who sings it, the Pixel automatically detects it and displays the track title/artist at the bottom of the lock screen. On flights, it automatically displays what gate you're departing from, then when you land, it changes to what carousel your baggage is on. There is no bloatware whatsoever, which was the reason I left Samsung. I already use gmail, YT music, Google Calendar, and Google Drive, so it works together seamlessly. Everything is just so intuitive and convenient.
    I do wish it had a more powerful processor/GPU in it. And it gets hot pretty easily. Definitely not without flaws, but it's such a cool phone.

      I agree, I wish we could unify everything together a la Beeper, but until RCS irons out all the kinks, iMessage on its own is way more convenient.

Say, with regards to google temporarily rerouting your pictures to their server for AI imposed color adjustments and other things, is there a permission to grant or deny that capability? Like say you don't want the pictures you take to be rerouted, but you want them to remain local to your phone only, can you opt for this?

Fairly accurate information I believe. I have an iPhone and I really enjoy the device because of the way the user can interact with others with iMessage, it's pretty cool. I enjoy that apple devices hold their value two years later as well. Hope you get better asap.

Samsung still does more, overall, than Pixel (and so, so much more than iPhones) and I'm finding the Pixel lacking because of this. Pixel has the best camera on the market by far.. but, Samsung just has everything else now. Also, Samsung is still miles ahead in durability and cheap accessories.

    I have a very particular question about “best take”. Everyone talks about it being used in group photos but let’s say I at a Comic Con taking a selfie with a celebrity. What if I don’t like my face in that particular selfie? Can I use best take in this way or can it only be used in group pictures? Hope this example makes sense! Thank you! I have always had iPhones but possibly looking at other options when it is time for me to upgrade. I have Cerebral Palsy and sometimes my face does not always turn out the best for pictures, especially if they are quick so this option really caught my eye but I don’t take a lot of group photos. i am on you on that, but first time iphone with the 15 pro max, and I like the photo qualiy on this one, I first bought P8P to upgrade my P7P but then quickly realized that the photo quality was just a P7P with some software tweaks.. sent it back. First time on iOS, I can tell that the difference in performance is huge. Also, instead of having webviewer , it goes straight to your browser of choice. It kinda solved 90% of the issues I had with android... in terms of camera, the video recording is the best and photo was somehow better in some situations than P8P and in others worse, but It is on pair, sometimes it requires to give a bit more highlight. I am not missing my Pixel at all. Maybe in a year I'll change my mind, but so far, enjoying it a lot.

      @ILLiteSociety 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ganbly you'll definitely miss it. I skipped the 7 because it wasn't much of an upgrade for me either. The 8 pro is light years ahead of the 6 I had. And if you want to compare the cameras, there's a few guys who do astrophotography with cell phones who really put them to the test. P8P came out victorious without a scratch. And I'm not sure about what you mean for the browser thing. You can literally set any browser as your default, and it'll always open up links in that specific browser.

    • @ganbly
      @ganbly 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ILLiteSociety when you use google search widget it opens web viewer and you need extra clicks to open in browser otherwise you lose what you just opened if you look for something else. So far I don’t miss it, I love the more active widget of iOS as well. Tested atrophotography on p8p and I wasn’t impressed. I am more impressed with the iPhone photo focus and portrait which is so good sometimes like if it was taken with a dslr. And video quality is another level.
      The good thing is that these phones p8p and i15p are 2 great phones for different reasons. We are then both happy with our choices:)) cheers

    The Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14/15pro is super cool software but I don’t think its under utilized unless the app uses it like apple music, or TH-cam premium, and I’d assume Spotify too but I don’t use Spotify as well as timers/stop watch , and live activities which very few apps use
    And I think that’s the main draw to the iPhone pros now, and the cameras are good too especially if using the Raw mode on the main shooter for 42mp but at the end of the day it’s an iPhone it’s just gonna work
    I’ve had iPhone for years and I’ve considered switching to PIXEL pro but idk if I can get away from iMessage and the ecosystem of IOS having an iPad, Watch and AirPods
