The Pixel Watch 2 has better battery life and performance this year. In a lot of ways, it's a compelling buy but I would also look at the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic!

I've said it before and will again, the flow of this video is just perfect. I appreciate the tech review even if I don't plan on getting the tech. I like seeing what other companies are doing and you highlight so many good points in these reviews. Your energy level is always at a 10 which may be due to the copious amounts of Java lol. I would understand if Google kept a few health features locked behind a subscription but to think that a safety feature requires the subscription that's insane.
Loved this video! Your pros and cons of the watch seemed very fair and it was great to see how some of these features work in the real world. NBT is quickly becoming one of my favorite tech channels!!

The Galaxy Watch also has the shutter and viewfinder feature. I love that feature.

Agreed on the simplicity! First time pixel watch user and I'm glad I chose the second iteration. Surprisingly for me the simplistic watchface are actually legible. Loving it
Been looking at the pixel 2 watch . The pixel watch will get better with each release and hopefully get two different sizes. Keep up the good work. 🏴

Easiest tech videos to watch. Definitely appreciate the effort put into it. Assuming you already noticed, but at around 1:02 it feels like either you're using a narrative device that's going over my head, or there may have been some "sequencing" edits that came out a little rough. Keep up all the hard work!

Loving the Pixel Watch 2! The battery life has been terrific, even on the LTE version.

Because if you meant same day, battery would be pretty disappointing
I hope the first Gen Pixel Watch for Christmas and after it was updated the battery is all day! It has nice features and it's not all that slow at least for me but then I haven't compared it to the Pixel Watch 2. I'm one of those people that thinks his fingerprint sensor on his Pixel 6 works fine as well so that should tell you something. Haha but it's a great review and I wouldn't mind getting the 2 or when this wears out, they'll probably have the Pixel Watch 3 and I'll get that. I'm surprised we how good it is for old tech and it's unlocked LTE so maybe I'll pair that with my carrier. I wish mine had auto workout detection. I dunno if it does but I'll look into it.
Does it make sense to upgrade from Pixel Watch 1 to Watch 2? I already have Fitbit premium so it is okay

I hate subscriptions too but at least at first you got 6 months free Fitbit on the Pixel Watch or maybe that's the first one? They're pulling and Apple figuring that if you have the money for a smart watch you must have the money for a subscription. I mean, they might not be wrong in some, even most cases but then that could be a stretch too. Maybe it would work out to pair a Galaxy Watch with a Pixel but you won't get get full features like AFib detection without side loading an APK like i did once, which is risky. I enjoyed the content and wouldn't mind one but I'm just using the Google fit app which has some nice features of its own that are almost never talked about and yeah, def don't jog at night unless you go with two Doberman's or something.
Anyone know why there is no second hand or display, or hourly chime?

I think that first review was on the pixel fold. My impression was one of dismissal. I do not care for biased reviews. I do like various reviews, from different points of view. I realized the flaw in my thinking, as this not doing a strictly clinical review. You do reviews based on a day in your life. This is how 'such and such' product fits into my life. I appreciate that. Though I may not agree, that's certainly not the point of your content. I've gone back to that very first review I watched. Different result. Thanks again for your content.

Nice RW review. I ditched the Android Wear stuff for a Huawei Watch 3 years ago, and have just upgraded to another. All you can't do is any voice assistant or reply from the watch in full. However, a full health suite, sleep tracking, notifications, smooth (glitch-free) software, great looks - and I get 7 full days battery. I'll never go back all the time Huawei produce watches like this.
Yes are a great watch with great fitness accuracy, but lacking so much in functionality and apps. As they dont use google, etc, so their apps are extremely limited. And its because of this the battery lasts. Its a fitness watch, not really an extension of your phone. You can side load apps, so make the Pixel watch 2 very powerful and an alround better watch. You cannot have power and lasting battery. Also you only get 7 days from the Hauwei if you turn off always HR tracking, with google its always on. If you could turn this off, sure you could at least get 4 or so days. And yes have the Hauwei watch 3 GT, but very limited in what is can do.
I'm with you I don't want to pay a subscription just to be able to use my tech
The fact that many companies are going to "subscriptions" means they're half baking their products and or services
Subscriptions to watch video content on platforms like Netflix Paramount Plus Disney Plus Apple TV+ etc are one thing
Subscriptions to software like Windows or Adobe Creative Cloud is over the line
I get that these companies are trying to make money but cutting corners is half baking their quality of products and or services
Oh apple do have a paid subscription for some fitness features, but your not limited to using fitbit.

I certainly agree, Jacklyn; I don’t like the idea of having to pay an additional subscription fee on top of a $400 smartwatch. Especially, like you said, when the fitness features are all baked into the Apple Watch and Samsung’s smartwatches right out of the box. It’s a little weird!
The Pixel Watch 2 seems really cool though, like if I wasn’t so locked into Apple’s ecosystem, I would honestly consider it. Awesome video, and I’ll be one of your first customers whenever you start your coffee business! 😊

There is no way to turn the sound completely off. The alarm and the timer sound are permanently on. In my opinion that makes this watch the worst on the market.

I ordered my 8 Pro directly from Google because they offered the bluetooth version of this watch for free, was going to sell it.
After using my Pixel with the Galaxy watch for awhile I finally opened my Pixel watch this week and I actually like it and am keeping it.
My 2 complaints are the Fitbit accidentally being hit and wanting me to subscribe, and the stupid AF charging.
In 3 charging sessions Ive had the pins line up immediately twice but one time I had to fight with it for a few minutes😂
That subscription turned me off to smartwatches as a whole. I'll spend my money on a key card instead.
Why does NOBODY talk about the fact the cellular connectivity is COMPLETERLY UNRELIABLE?

This how you know Google don't listen to the people everyone complained about the size ...look what they did and kept it the same
For me the size is perfect, but the subscription is a deal breaker.
Google made a lot of changes to the Pixel phone based on customer feedback. For example, making a flat screen instead of curved screen in their pro model. Giving 1TB storage people asked etc.
@@electrology I didn't mention the phone I said the watch ...but talking about the phone the charging still slow it's laggy in a non graphical game I play the portrait mode is just garbage 🗑️ magic editor is slow AF and sometimes it won't let you do surtin things so yeah I'm not impressed

So, you won't like Apple also right? Because in order to have a better experience, you need to sign up for a lot of services in that eco system too.
@@vitorsalles5919 exactly ...they push fitness+, Apple tv+ , Arcade etc too. When I used iPhones, I simply used Google photos and/or One Drive to upload pics so that I can access them easily if I switch to an android ..in my opinion, Fitbit premium of 79 per year is reasonable

I don’t know why google called it a pixel watch when it’s more Fitbit at least apple only charge you extra if you want to have fitness classes rather than charging you for most of your exercise tracking including other features after having a google pixel watch i can honestly say I prefer my Apple Watch
