Quite Amazing review, but i am still unsure which phone to buy today, but as far as cloud storage is concerned google has more and nearly all the google app for free to use and are highly updated. and some of renowned app alternative are available for free on Google app whereas Apple store has premium feature with in app purchases. So both have merits and both have demerits at the same time. but you explained well.
I have both of them and I love my iPhone and I wouldn’t trade it for anything, but I always find myself reaching for my Pixel. The Pixel is such a great phone. The camera on the Pixel is amazing.
@@nickackermanchannel ya as i said b4..my 6a is smooth af,,can only imagine how its like to use the 8 pro .. sad thing is that pixels dont get enough attention
I had a Pixel 8 Pro, traded it in for Iphone 15 Pro Max, but honestly, they are both great. My reasons for moving away were simply for the better gaming performance and standby time (on WiFi the Pixel performed amazing but seemed to struggle for 4G/5G). The customisation on Android is much better though, and in my opinion you certainly feel more unique carrying the Pixel than the sea of iPhones in London.
If I don't care at all about gaming and I just received a P8P for 640 Euros. Would you keep it ? I see some people talking about bad connection but others saying that it works
The chip is not bad, the phone performs great in daily usage. Gaming is the only real difference in real world use. Googles chip also enables much faster AI
per pixel 9 pro will be an updated Exinos 5400 modem, which provides stable communication, high speed and minimal power consumption, I think we should wait for the pixel 9 and after to draw conclusions
I own a pixel 8 pro too but the portraits of human subjects looks not so great. Do you have any idea about that? I mean the portraits of the pixel tend to over sharpen the subject too much and the skin tone also is kind of messed up.. why is that? All of these things happen in the post processing.Have any idea how to fix it?
This happens on iPhone too. I hate the post processing. I tried Lightroom app and it was a bit better as well as switching from JPEG to Raw files instead.
Biggest disadvantage I felt after switching from nothing phone 2 is the keyboard experience sucks. Too small keyboard , always misses what I type. Also in iOS 17.4.1 the phone is laggy in animations with shutters! Disappointed by apple quality control!!
iPhones have one major issue for me, you cannot install apps outside the app store. It also doesn't have any apk apps developed for it. As a yt vanced and yt music vanced user i cannot switch even with every advantage an iphone can have. And i will stick to Android as long as iphones will not have this.
@@Ceezy223. Still too much trouble. If i pay for the latest iphone i kinda don't want to mess with it. On Android i can buy a brand new phone and install the exact app i want.
I’m currently using an iPhone 13 with both yt music and yt revanced via side loading. It was annoying having to set it up. And u can only side load 3 apps at a time. I will be switching back to android though. I preordered a pixel 9 bc the iPhone 13 had a $799 trade in value at Best Buy. I would switch to iPhone 16 or 15 but they’re too expensive and 60hz is unacceptable in 2024.
I plan to sell my iPhone and switch to android, however I dislike Samsung because of the bloatware, and I considered Motorola but any tech owned by Chinese companies tends to decrease in quality, so I have settled on a pixel however I am waiting for the pixel 9, thanks for this video nick! The best thing on Pixel is you can do a back gesture from both sides of the screen whereas on iPhone you have to do either from the left side or reach to the top of the app which is uncomfortable sometimes.

Still have the 14 Pro, but as my sexondary now. My primary switches between the OnePlus 12 that I purchased last week and the Pixel 7 Pro. I'm disappointed that the 16 series looks similar to the 15 and 14 series outside of a bigger camera module and function button. Apple is stale right now, so getting some Android experience until Apple comes out with a new design. Nice video Nick!
The iPhone is clearly better, which is surprising and frustrating because iPhones can't be had cheaply -- but Pixels can. The Sony image sensors are superior.
How Apple are a hardware company 😂😂 They do not own a single factory and are just a middle man. MacOS is rebranded Linux, Apple silikon is licensed by British ARM, memory and screens manufactured by Samsung or LG and processors currently by TSMC. Apple are pure software company, that being said even that had been rebranded as their "invention". And people are to blame. When Linux was free nobody wanted it and nobody created apps for it. When Apple put a huge price tag on it all of the sudden people wanted it and app developers saw $$$s to make. That's how this corrupt, nihilistic world works.
Average person doesn’t know anything about that. They Buy Apple hardware because it’s branding and looks good and of course they like the software and ecosystem, but Apple mostly makes big dollars on iPhone sales until recently with services business. Where they source their components doesn’t matter to their customer, only techies would even care to learn about that.

How does Nick keep that battery health so well? does he follow the 20% - 100% rule or what, Because I can not explain that (thought it is better charging it between 20% - 80% likes most people tell)
I would never consider a Pixel until that "Leaked" Roadmap is complete. Why would I buy the current phone if they are obviously skimping and will move to a better chip.
Well at this point, I get you but considering these phones are WAY less than iPhones and run amazingly well with ridiculously good cameras, they are a decent pickup for the right person.
After the Pixel 3 Google's cell reception is straight trash, making the core function of a phone less usable than their previous generations. I've owned 3 Pixels models and will never buy another one.
I purchased the pixel when it first launched back in October and owned for a a month and a half but didn't like it because of the lag of useful features like Samsung has and many bugs so decided to return it. Purchased it again in March and after a month and a half decided to return it again due to its performance and bugs, they really need to optimize their devices if they're gonna charge flagship prices
It did have some instances of lag at first, that has been fixed, also your right Samsung did have bugs as well at first, I think what you might be experiencing is due to the Tensor chip not being as powerful as snapdragon they can only do so much with this chip. For regular use I found it to be pretty good though
@@levipb1403 Strangely, Pixels never seem perfect when they are new and mature through updates. I've owned two Pixels and currently on the 8 Pro and the story was the same with all of them. I just gave em some time to become stable instead of returning/selling and they, as expected, did. The 8 Pro right now is fully satisfactory. No battery drain, no heating or lagging issue at all. The only problem I have with it is the fingerprint scanner being inaccurate at times.
Just looking at the camera section, I do not agree with the reviewer at all. Pixel looks bad, overblown highlights and oversharpened detail. iPhone is miles ahead, more natural , less artificial. It seems that nothing comes close to the iphone image capture yet.
Try to sell a pixel after a few months for a similar price you bought it…no way. But iPhone reselling is always profitable. BTW it’s reasonable why iPhones are more expensive. You cannot compare with a pixel really…
If you stay with the brand, Android phones usually have great trade in values, Samsung especially. Pixels are hit or miss depending on the year but they have great incentives like free pixel watches
Apple has more software capabilities than Google Pixel. Think about it. You can edit videos with an app made by Apple. Google has not a single editing app made by Google. You have music, film, software development and even beta testing by Apple themselves. Google had none of it. If Google caught up that, then they would’ve been way ahead of Apple, but like Microsoft, they have been pushing hardware. Not software. And Google relies a whole lot on cloud than they do the technology that Android users have been praising. Think of the partnerships that Apple has with actual filming studios, right now? They are pushing software development this year for a reason and that is to get more people into Apple. That is going to suck for Android and PC users who are always on 3rd party applications and not developing their apps or even working with Google or Microsoft or both to push technology to the next level.
The pixel is the best phone. It's not about price. There's things in this world that cost more and less doesn't matter by price. iPhone is overrated pixel has software and capabilities that no other phone has. There's no other phone in its class and it comes down to the lone battery life, fast internet and the capability of this AI and it's software features. Make it the best phone. It's heavy for all means get it. It's made there. The iPhone feels cheap they made. It's too light and it cost too much and it's not worth the price. They're making a 500% profit off of that iPhone and I don't support that
I'm using a Pixel 7 pro and regretting the performance. Poor modem, signal loses all the time. Battery life is a disaster, charges really slow. Except Branding this phone is junk.

Yes indeed! I’ve been a pixel fanboy since owning my Pixel 2XL which I had for 5 years before upgrading to the Pixel 7. These have hands down been the BEST phones I’ve ever owned. I’m definitely team Pixel 💪🏿
I got one for 350 British pounds pixel 8 pro gang

Everyone I know who owns or owned a Pixel. HATES them. Bad battery life. Sluggish. Boring. They all either go to iPhone or Samsung when they switch out.
Not me and I've had 3 models, all have been great phones. Currently on the Pixel 7 Pro, will be upgrading to the Pixel 10.Pixels are the smartest smartphones on the market
They know nothing about smartphones if they only like iPhones and Samsungs. Samsungs are juuuuuunk.
@@DeadofWinter321 Samsungs are not junk. Pixels are.
@@AnCap1776 - Then how come every Pixel I've had hasn't given me any problems but every Samsung developed one (a problem)? I packed up and sent back my S24 Ultra to Samsung and bought the Google Pixel 8 Pro and all my problems disappeared 😂
I have the pixel 8 pro but i know what you mean Samsung has a lot more features is better customizable pixel is more boring your are getting less
