- One potentially fatal moment in the series that could have shifted the entire story was Rhaenyra's encounter with a boar in the Kingswood during her brother Aegon's second name day. Thanks to Criston's quick thinking she came out unscathed but what if she hadn't?

What if Alicent killed Rhaenyra on Driftmark.
Context: Alicent takes the Valyrian Steel dagger and tries to take out Lucerys’s eye. Rhaenyra goes to block but she misses and is stabbed in the chest. She collapses and dies. Alicent is horrified, Viserys collapses near her and tries to shake her awake but gets nothing. Otto would be happy for five seconds. Till he realises that he has become suspect numero uno in this. Dameon would draw Dark Sister and the kids (plus or minus Aegon and Aemond) would be scared and sad.
This is one is fun to ponder. I really liked that scene in the show.
Daemon would’ve killed every green in that room lol, on sight.

Kingsguards wouldn't let him but he would definitely attempt to, maybe try to take a sword from one of them as he was unarmed at the moment
That would definitely be something intriguing…it would definitely be interesting to see how Alicent would truly feel and react to her killing her once best friend. It would definitely scar her for the rest of her life.
What if Jaime kept his promise to Rhaegar by saving Elia and her children from Gregor Clegane?
This is actually a good idea
If he had to kill Gregor Clegane and a bunch of his father's men to do this then his father will be mad at him. Is Robert angry at Jaime and send him to the Wall or doeshe need Tywin?. If Eddard Stark insists Robert not kill them then Robert and Eddard will possibly have their friendship strained. If Jaime decides to protect Elia and the kids by running away with them for Kingslanding, then Jaime is charged with treason and Tywin is angry with Robert and maybe Robert doesn't marry Cersei. Anyway lots of different possibilities here. What if Jaime going to protect Elia means he doesn't stop all of the pyromancers and part of the city burns down?
@@movieloverfan18 I think there's a slim chance he could still save Elia and at the very least one of her children if not both if he immediately rushed there after killing Aerys instead of sitting his ass on the throne and simply waiting to see how things played out. Although, there's a chance those two events were happening at the same time, so he would only have the choice of stopping one event or the other but if he didn't stop the pyromancers, then they would have all died anyways. If Jaime managed to do the impossible, kill Aerys, kill the pyromancers, kill Gregor, kill Amory, saved Elia and her children, then fled to Dorne with them, it would make for a more interesting scenario. This would lead to a third Dornish war, lead by Elia who would be named Queen Regent, her brother Oberyn, and Jaime. Not gonna count Doran since he's kinda a weak pacifist that got himself killed cause he didn't have the balls to avenge his sister, brother, niece and nephew or the honour of his house. Robert would be calling for Jaime's head, Tywin would be pissed and probably grow to hate him even more Tyrion, Cersei would be in denial and probably think Elia used some form of magic to bewitch her precious Jaime. Not sure what Ned would be doing during this time. Like I'm not sure if he'll fight for Robert or just stay out of the whole thing altogether since he knows Robert isn't gonna let this go until Elia and the heads of her children's heads on mounted up on spikes. He might just stay neutral. Robert may be his BFF but he's really keen on the idea of murdering children. His family had also been avenged with the death of Aerys. He might still join out of a sense of duty and obligation thinking he could convince Robert to change his mind and show mercy. Of course, it wouldn't work. Also, perhaps Ser Williem Darry could escort the pregnant former queen Rhaella and little Viserys off to Dorne since that's where the rest of the Targs are. Maybe Ser Arthur Dayne takes the hint and flees with baby Jon to Dorne as well. Either that or the confrontation with Ned happens. As for what Ned does with baby Jon, well, that's up for debate. Maybe he still names him as his bastard to protect him from Robert. I don't think he'd side with Dorne. Like I said, the thing that would make the most sense for him is to just stay neutral. If he sides with Robert, he'd have to live with the fact that Elia's blood and that of her children are on his hands, if they can even win that is. Not even Aegon the conqueror, his sisters and their three dragons could break dorne. A war with Robert should be a cake walk for them. Of course, there will be major casualties on both sides but I do see Dorne possibly coming out on top. If he sides with Dorne it would mean going against his BFF and possibly putting the North in danger.
Here's the real question though could a 16-17 year old Jamie beat the Mountain?
Like he's got the skill I'm just not sure if he's got the power behind that plus the Mountain had Amory Lorch backing them up so not only would he be fighting that absolute Monster of a man he would be doing it at a handicap.

Also Aegon's name day is gonna suck since then, cuz you know Viserys is gonna make it more of a Rhaenyra Death Anniversary than an Aegon name day party

Also, would it suck if in this timeline Aegon or Helaena claim Syrax (which is probably gonna suck more for Helaena cuz of the whole "mistaken for dead stepsister who she never even met" issue)

Daemon would definitely blame "a Hightower conspiracy" for Rhaenyra's death and might well do something extreme in response. I'm going back and forth over whether he'd try and assassinate Aegon and Heleana but it's at least a possibility. Being heir to the throne would definitely be a temptation and he always seemed to see them as Hightowers rather than Targaryens.
I actually thought that season 3 episode was what made Alicent misinterpret Viserys - A promised prince to unite the realm and placing his son on the throne as all the dragons roared as one are pretty similar dreams
I feel like Viserys would love Helena more or at least have a connection with her as Rhaenyra always wanted a sister and Hel would look like Rhaenyra, maybe this would feed to a hate Aegon would have to Hel as their father has no problem loving her but has him at a distance.
Alicent pivoted more into the faith because of the blacks, she wanted to seem more relatable to the other houses of Westeros mostly because she married Aegon to Helaena. We see this in her attire, too. Before Rhaenyra lied to her, Alicent was comfortable wearing Targaryen red and using their heraldry. There’d be significantly less factionalism. I bet she’d still abide by Targaryen customs and culture in this timeline, maybe she’d even embrace it further for the strength and identity of the family,
They Velaryons would attend the funeral, most likely. At least Rhaenys would. She’d have Meleys light the pyre.
What if Alicent's children inherited hightower features while Rhaenyra's children inherited targeryen features?
What if the court found out Alicent was visiting Viserys during his mourning period?
What if Alicent couldn't have children but didn't find out till after she married Viserys?
A. Nothing changes.
This is expected. It needed extensive research for Ned & Jon Arryn to realized that Cersei's kids should have Baratheon features. The problem was not that Rhaenyra's kids did not have Targaryen features it's that they did not have Targaryen OR Velaryon features. Alicent's kids having Hightower features would cause zero problems, just like all of Catelyn's sons & her eldest daughter having Tully features does not cause any problems.
B. Nothing changes
Kings can do what they want. Robert and other kings before him actively had affairs while they were married. Next to that the mourning period is barely a scandal.
C. All Hail King Daemon
Without a Green candidate to distract the Blacks, Daemon isn't going to need to support Rhaenyra, and all the No Girls Allowed factions are going to back Daemon, and a lot of the Blacks will support Rhaenyra but accept that as her husband, Daemon gets the throne through jure uxoris. Ironically, in this scenario, Otto is probably going to be backing Rhaenyra to rule in her own right, because he is even more anti-Daemon than anti-Rhaenyra. If Daemon has a shot at the throne in his own right, he's not going to uphold the inheritance of the Strong bastards, but denounce them and make Aegon the Younger his heir, and push his eldest daughter as the heir to Corlys.
i think you’re really downplaying daemon here, aegon is the only one in the way of his succession since viserys isn’t going to have any more children. alicents future fears about rhaenyra will become fears about daemon and instead of making her kids fear rhaenyra, she would make them fear daemon. i could also see to secure his succession, daemon will try seduce and marry helaena in this timeline. aegon is a bit different since he is now acknowledged as heir and will be educated and brought up as such, otto would probably have him be educated extensively as a warrior to one day fight and lead armies against daemon should he ever have to. viserys, feeling the tension between daemon and alicent would probably agree to marry helaena and daemon together despite protests from alicent just to unify the house like he tried to do with helaena and jace.
I see other scenario. Daemon manages to insult grieving Viserys (with Otto whispers perhaps - he knows Damon is BIG threat at this point) and is still exiled. He murders his wife and possibly still marries Laena (Corlys would see potential here and propose this himself). And now they have all 4 dragons... I doubt he will do anything as long as Viserys is alive but after that there will be no Rhaenyra to takes things slowly...

@@kadeemhamilton9208 you say that, but he was very popular amongst lords and small folk alike, just as he was hated (according to grrm). some lords may be inclined to follow him. despite this, i meant that daemon would probably have aegon assassinated rather than declare war on him.
@@caoilainnlong9867you're blind if you actually think that.. he was hated by the lords.. by the small council and by the small folk, the golden cloaks were the only people loyal to him.. by trying to get the crown he will make enemy of all houses on the continent.. that includes the lannisters, the starks and the hightowers.. which were basically the strongest at the time, you also ignore that even if he has like 3 or 4 dragons (he wouldn't be able to achieve this), he would still he unable to control them or find them riders and remember that he knew that he can't take vhagar down on his own and survive so he won't attack with caraxes any time soon, y'all overrate the sht out of him
And in the case of an assasination everyone would know that it was him, like it's obvious that he's basically the only one that has something to gain from Aegon's death so he'd get his head chopped off either way
@@rias.gremoryyy “there was not a man so admired, so beloved, and so reviled in all of westeros” - grrm about daemon. you also say that he would get no support but despite the blackfyres questionable claim, they always found support because people want power and would see daemon as a way to get some. daemon could get more dragon riders by his children with helaena in this scenario. rhaenyra and daemon “obviously” killed laenor velaryon as well but still faced no consequences because there was no evidence to prove it was them. if daemon leaves no trail to him, it doesn’t matter how obvious it is because there’s not a thing anyone can do since there’s no proof.

I'd say Viserys would "spare" Criston. Criston would ask to be put down for failing to protect the princess he had sworn to protect. But Viserys would say something like "that's too easy, you'll continue serving as kingsguard, protecting the queen and her children, and you'll bear the shame and guilt as you do it". I'll get dramatic here; Rhaenyra's blood on Criston's white cloak couldn't really be cleansed and Criston would choose to wear it anyway as a self-inflicted punishment, "shouldering the shame and all that" and the people of kingslanding would dub him Ser Criston "the red cloak".
Would Helena even be given that name or out of remembrance have Alicent ask for her daughter be named Rhaenyra?

So far in the story I don't think we've seen any character simply be dismissed from the kingsguard. That's why Tywins request for it for Jaime is so crazy. The kingsguard is for life. In this situation if Criston Cole is no longer on the kingsguard it needs to be death or the wall
What if Rhaenerya convinced Alicent to run away with her on dragonback when they are teens?
I think the throne passes to Rhaenys, then Laenor. Daemon still would have said "heir for a day" and gotten disinherited.
Since Laenor won't be having any kids, the throne goes to Laena's line.

Greens win. "Prince Rhaegar" would probably have ridden Dreamfyre to Rook's Rest, following after Aegon. With Sunfyre and Dreamfyre together, unlikely that Sunfyre would have gotten hurt. then they all could fly to Harrenhal and deal with Daemon, effectively ending any dragon advantage the Blacks may have had.
Alternatively, the whole war plays out the same, except that Prince Rhaegar would have gone with his brother to deal with Daemon at the God's Eye, and with the two of them together, Daemon is defeated alot more quickly. Then since he's older, Rhaegar takes the Iron Throne and becomes king after dealing with the remaining Black forces.
What if Viserys exiled/executed Alicent after she attacked Rhaenyra with the valarian dagger?
Greens win. Since Alicent was the one in Otto's way stopping him from just wiping out all the Blacks in secret.
Can't wait to see this video, but we can see what going to happen right, if Rhaenyra dies than the greens win right because I don't see anyone backing Deamon and his kids claim to the throne.
Also what if jurying the chase at stormsend the fire that Lucerys dragon shot hit Ameaond and killed him.
And when part 2 of the what if with Meakor Waters because I have an interesting idea let's say he does claim the Cannibal, instead of going back to castle to show off he goes to rooks nest and just before Ameaond joins the battle in the sky he and Vhagar are attack by Meakor and the Cannibal.
If the God's were good and that boar killed that pretender, there would have been no war and the dragons would have lived. A woman has no business on the Iron throne!
