My Golden, River, passed away after 13 years 2 months. Golden Retrievers are like Angels sent from God. Their hearts are so pure and their so kind. My heart is broken, but seeing your new puppy made me happy. You are truly blessed!!!

Crate training is tough but best bet all around. I had a Jack Russell with “Serious “ separation anxieties that almost tore down my house, train them while they are young!!!
Don’t punish them in the crate. They won’t go in it when you want them too. Crates are their safe space. I used to wake up and look for my dog and she would be in her crate.
@@holladaysfantasy I agree, ours never have a problem going to their crates. It is their safe cave. We keep them covered so it is dark.
I have two Goldens and I absolutely love them, they give the best love!!
I grew up with black labs and then had three as an adult. Two went to work with me every day, flying in float planes and traveling all over Alaska. You wont be disappointed with the choice of dog.

I owned a lab for 10 years and you will go thru alot of toys if he eats grass dont worry they do that when they have upset stomach he is so cute

Raised goldens for several yrs the best dogs ever and the smartest ever. Jessie was my girl and Zak was my boy he was A pup we kept from her 2nd litter all white and mama was dark red .just looking at Finley makes me smile and you know what I mean there both gone now but never forgotten.😪

OMG he is such an adorable little boy. Please post extra videos with him. Just watching him run and play and jumping be a happy little boy makes me smile. I'm a sucker for a fur baby. He'll grow up so fast and there's nothing better than that little puppy smell he has right now.

Awesome doggy! My golden loved the water. He would ride the bow and jump off on a whim if he saw anything in the water which was a nuisance at times but always funny!

Did anybody else notice Finley in Gabe's last video? Congrats on the new baby Kelly. Your shirt was quite appropriate too.
Puppies are the best, always playful, easy to train, and give unconditional love. At 8 weeks old, work with the puppy 2 hrs a day for 1-2 weeks using positive reinforcement training and you will have him fully trained by the end of the two week. That doesn't include hunting training but walking on and off leash, outdoor potty, protection, and any "trick" you can think of.
He will love his crate when he gets used to it. Our lab would go chill out in his when he wanted to be alone.
Finley is a cutie who's going top keep you busy. I cna hardly wait to see him grow into his feet.

We had a golden with the same issue Finley has. Did not show until 8 years. My vet wife wanted to make sure you ask your vet about a persistent right aortic arch condition which has similar symptons. Good luck!

Kelly you are definitely an animal lover for sure. I’ve had dogs all my life and generally when they eat grass they have an upset stomach. Watch him with the chickens if he ever kills one you can’t hardly break them of it. Just a few things. Love your work please keep it up. Best for you

In '75 I was working out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska and received a female Golden Retriever from my crew on the vessel, as a present. I was headed back to Ventura, California for the birth of my 1st born child. The man that ran the fuel dock bred them and the papers were quite long, when unfolded...a long bloodline. Anyway, she completely ruined the redwood patio furniture as she loved chewing on it. Just a heads up, especially when he is teething.
