- This is a video tutorial on how to repair and fix your Honda Accord brake lights/ tail lights not turning off/ staying on. The part you will need is the brake pedal and clutch stop pad part# 74015 from Dorman at your local auto parts store. The Honda accord in the video is a 2007.

You saved me. A neighbor told me about my brake lights being on after 9pm. I scrambled to look this problem up and found your and other videos on the issue but yours was the most helpful. My Honda Accord is 2006 and I had a devil of a time getting under the plastic cover. I rushed to the auto parts store before they closed. I was able to get the part & install it after I goofed my 1st attempt. Kudos to you for making this video for us.

I thought this was gone be a big problem, thought I was gone have to disconnect my battery every time I get out my car so my car won’t go dead! But then I seen this video, and this literally took me 5 mins and only cost 11.00! Great job in explaining and demonstrating 🙌🏾

I’m waiting of the plastic part from Autozone but thanks to this video and a plastic water bottle cap 😂 I’m able to temporarily turn the lights off so it doesn’t drain my battery. Thanks for the info. The brake lights on my 1999 Accord Coupe won't turn off. It just started today. Then when you showed the plastic bumper I realized that I saw a broken black bumper piece on my carpet under the steering wheel. I didn't know what it was. Thought it was just a piece of trash that got stuck under my shoe while walking on dirt.
