Actually, you do not have to hit the lock button first to roll down all the windows (and open sunroof) simultaneously. All you have to do is hold down the unlock button. It does it automatically. And this works on older models too. I had a 2003 Honda Accord and this was shown to me by the dealer.

Hey man actually works in my 2004 Honda Accord LX as well !! Awesome feature!! Only thing different is, it doesn't close the sunroof or open it. But it does all the windows both ways lock and unlock !!!
It was a hot day in late August when we picked up our just-built '11 Accord, and the first thing the salesman showed me was the "global open". The second thing he explained was the "Max AC" function... very handy.
There's a button on the climate control panel that says "Max AC". This re-circulates the chilled cabin air so it's even colder than you'd normally get. The global open lowers all 4 windows simultaneously when you hold the unlock 🔑 button down for more than a couple seconds. So, if the car was sitting in the sun for hours and you didn't want to die in flames as soon as you got in, you'd open all the windows to release some of the steamy air, then hit the maximum air conditioning upon starting up.
Also if you press unlock I think 3-5 time the windows start coming down by about an inch. A 2010 LXP was my first car and man I miss that accord. Roomiest car almost SUV size in the backseat, great on gas and had just enough power to push past cars if needed. Lost it due to an accident and it was too expensive to repair. Appreciate y’all’s Accord if you drive one, amazing cars.

I knew of the open feature but not the close (Nissan has it too and I'd assume other manufacturers). What sucks is that it happened just a few months ago while taking my son out of his car seat. The fob in my pocket must've been pushed by something while I was moving and all the windows dropped. I put the key in the ignition and rolled them all up and brought my son inside. A couple hours later I came out to a soaked car because the stupid sunroof opened on its own and I didn't know about it. Naturally it rained most of the time I was away from the car. I don't think this feature serves many purposes but it would be better to simply crack the windows (not the sunroof). Makes the most sense to me. Also, having a way to close everything from the remote makes perfect sense.
in the 1990s we new this as the MS Windows fix -- you hit alt-f4 a bunch of times to shut all the windows and enter when you're finished, then you had to push power button to open the windows back up...as a bonus your windows would function better for a while too

Doesn't work on my 2008 Acura TSX. You can only open from the remote as he described, and close windows by using the key in the handle. Thanks for trying.
they don't allow this because in case your too far away and accidently roll up the windows on your kids hand, therefore fileling a lawsuit against them, only works when your close by and can see everybody's hands are clear, then u turn key to lock twice in door and hold

doesn't work on my 2012 accord
Doesn't work on my 2008 Acura TSX. You can only open from the remote as he described, and close windows by using the key in the handle. Thanks for trying.
they don't allow this because in case your too far away and accidently roll up the windows on your kids hand, therefore fileling a lawsuit against them, only works when your close by and can see everybody's hands are clear, then u turn key to lock twice in door and hold
Thanks buddy!! This made my day!! Oh, the little things 😁👍
I thought this was a well known feature. My dealer showed me the day we test drove ours in 2007. It's a great feature during the summer. Wish they had a global close though.

2004 and 2005 have that feature. I had a 2005 and I used that feature all the time. My colleague had the 2004 model . She introduced me to the feature.
It's not hidden. Every one knows.

Worked on my 05 accord too thanks a bunch for this
Engineers behind this feature need to be punched in the face. People opens all the doors accidentally in rain
Shawn nwahs if you double click your unlock button in the rain and hold it, you deserve to have your shit wet.
