This Lentils and Rice Pilaf Should Be Your Go-To Meal!

Recipe:
1/2 cup of whole brown lentils
1/2 cup of green split peas
1 teaspoon rought salt
3 cups of water
Rinse and drain the lentils then boil with the water and rough salt.
Boil until soft but not mushy
In a separate pot wash 1 cup of rice then add the following:
3 cups of water
1 teaspoon rough salt
2 black cardomom pods
2 whole cloves
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon mixed spice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
Boil until a little water remains then add the boils lentils.
The lentils will soak up the remaining water. Keep stirring to avoid the bottom from getting burnt.
To serve place onto a flat platter, then garnish with pomegranate and chopped parsley and serve.
