Bro please I tried this with my galaxy buds 2 pro and I can not resolve the problem because the filter doesn't want to come, I don't know how to resolve it :(
At first, I was extremely skeptical of your tutorial thinking that ear wax, as much as it could be, could never make the volume so dramatically less than the other pair, especially overnight. Then I saw your immaculate description of the issue and how you said that the software is programmed to reduce the volume if it detects a certain amount of ear wax. I went ahead with the fix you proposed and not only it worked like a charm, it even made the volume reach much higher levels than I could remember. + I also found nothing when I took off the metal grid. It was only until after I removed the filter that I saw the wax, just as you described. Thank you so much for your tutorial. You sir are incredible!

Just checking in to let you know this saved my wife's earbuds! I found out today she hadn't been using her buds for 6+ months now because the left ear was virtually silent. So it only took me another seven minutes and I did the other. 👂🔥PRO TIP: If you haven't ever followed this process to clean your buds, I found it much easier to run the needle around the metal grate a few times to help loosen the factory glue, then gently put the needle tip in one of the holes in the grate (pick a 'side', don't do it in the middle) and gently, very gently, use leverage and the grate will begin to tip up and out.

Man you have no idea how much these kind success comments make my day! I made the video just to hopefully help one or two people out and seriously.... all the kind words from people like yourself just continue to brighten my days when I'm least expecting it
Bro, I love you so much. I can't tell you how ecstatic I was to hear full volume when I put my earbud back in. I wish I would have done this months ago, thank you so much dude. Your getting a like and a sub off of me man, that's the least I can do for my appreciation😁
AH BRO!! That's love for real!!! Honestly comments like this literally make my day. It's crazy how much of a blessing it is for me to randomly get a notification from someone who just wants to express how grateful they are that something they really loved using is functioning flawlessly again! And I totally get it because I felt the EXACT same way. That's why I made the video - just in case SOMEONE was looking for the answers I also was at one point
It worked!!!! I cannot thank you enough! I bought my buds around 2019. They are my favorite headphones ever. Around 2-3 months ago, the right earbud started to sound lower than the left one. I thought they were old enough so I got used to it. The past weeks it got lower and lower to the point it was barely making any sound from it. Tried restarting settings. Tried every single Bluetooth settings. Nothing! I was about to buy new ones, because I thought sending them to service was cost ineffective. And then I thought why not search the internet for similar issues or answers. Then I found your video. All I can say is you are a life saver. Perfectly explained video and instructions. First time in my life that I tried and actually fixed something with my own hands. They sound brand new again. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Leroy! It's my pleasure, boss! It was my left one that turned down too! And it's such a bummer because the ear buds are so comfortable and great sounding when they ARE working. Glad we could get yours functioning again

I was very skeptical of this method and i had feared this would break my headphones but this 100% worked for me and upon opening the grid i saw alot of earwax on the filter and after cleaning it off it started working perfectly once again big thanks!
Bro. 2 years later and it still works. ur awsome man. i knew sometng was up when the touch controls were working but the ambeint mode and sound werent. my dad and i really apreciated this tysm from india
For those who are doubtful about there being earwax, if you feel an oily residue when you remove the grill, that's the earwax. Earwax is oily when it is first made, it ages into the wax we're used to seeing. Washing your ears will help control the rate of build-up in your buds.
Another satisfied viewer! Worked just as described! I did find it helpful to run the needle around the perimeter of the grill before trying to take it out. I got a lot of the glue out doing that and the grill came out relatively easily. Low volume bud is now back to normal!
You are my hero!! Thank you so much 🤗. Such a good feeling putting both your buds on again and having equal volume. Wasn't that easy to remove the glue in my case but patience was rewarded :)
Robin! Yessss!!!! So very glad you got the results you were hoping for! In the future, if you find yourself in a somewhat similar situation with some other device, you can use a hair dryer (CAREFULLY!!!) to warm up the adhesive and that will make it easier to remove whatever you are looking to remove :) So glad you got it figured out, though! Thanks for dropping a comment with the great news!
@@ragemonkey5758 With a needle I just tried to gently scratch it off. To solve the glue I also used a tiny bit of vinegar which I carefully applied onto it. I also read that acetone is a helpful liquid to remove glue, which you find in nail polish remover. And as you can see The Matrix mentioned using a hairdryer in order to warm it a little which makes glue easier to remove.
i just recommend being gentle and patient, preventing any damage to your bud. I was scratching the glue off for at least 10 minutes until suddenly the metal grill came off :)
This has helped me so much I don't even know how to thank you! I thought my earbuds were completely wasted and there was no way of fixing them without getting them fixed. Now after 2 years of not using them I've come across this video and now I have 2 working earbuds! Thank you very much! :)

I'm really glad it worked out for you as well! I've got 2 sets of working buds now too haha!
I was having this problem for the past 3 weeks and the sound kept getting lower and lower. Found this vid and tried your method. BOOM! Good as new. Thanks a ton, champ.
Great! I did this and it worked perfectly! I'm on. My 2nd pair of buds and I wasn't about to purchase another pair. Seen your video and couldn't believe how easy it was. I used a small sowing needle and a pocket screwdriver with a magnet to help hold the screen in place while I cleaned it. Now I have 2 great sounding pair or earbuds! Thanks again!
I was skeptical that this was the actual cause. I first thought that I had a software issue. I tried this and it worked straight away. Am so so happy. What a guy.
I did this on my left earbud because it was essentially unasable, and after I did it, I noticed how lower the volume was on the right side, so I did the same on it as well and now my buds sound as they are brand new!! Thank you so much bro!! Youre a real lifesaver!!
You are the man!!!! Nothing I did worked...except this. It took 6 months to find a solution....and right when I was about to throw them out. Thank you!!!

Brother, you just helped me revive all three pairs of my bluetooth earbuds that I thought were lost... Every last pair, including my $200 pair of Jabras that I thought were lost. Thank you so so much. Subscribed and liked.
My right earbud had gone down to a whisper at full volume. I try to keep my earbuds clean and didn't see any visible wax anywhere, even once I removed the metal piece and filter, but followed the steps anyway...and it works again! Amazing! Thank you!
It worked 100%. I have mine for 2 years now, I always thought the volume getting lower was some mechanism to stop battery life span from degrading faster. I guess I was way off. I honestly didn't remember how loud they were. You saved me from getting new ones. Thank you All the best. ❤️
I was literally looking for a replacement for my right buds and I came across your video..I did the steps and I was surprised that even though I couldn't find earwax, I cleaned the inside and removed the filter and that was it ... Thank you very very much
I decided to try this even though I had a lot, and I mean a Lot, of skepticism. My right earbud in my Samsung Buds2 hardly had any sound coming out and I tried all the usual fixes to no avail. I figured I'd give this method go even though I would probably ruin the buds. Holy cow!!! I followed the process, popped the right earbud back in and it was as clear and loud as day. It sounded so good that now the left one, which I thought was working perfectly, now sounded terrible in comparison. I did the same thing with the left earbud and now they both sound amazing. I entirely forgot how good these sounded out of the box. Wow. Thank you so much. This might be the best DIY video i've ever seen on this platform.
Hi thanks for the video. I managed to fix the right earbud which was almost silent. Now both sides have an even sound. I just took off the silicone tip, wiped underneath and, without taking the gauze off , sucked it with my mouth. Bit icky but worked!
Just recently went to try these earbuds again after not using them for years because of this issue. So thankful for your tutorial because theyre back to working like new. Never thought a little wax would be the cause for it sounding so different. Thank you so much!
isca!!!! I was the LITERAL exact same way!!!! And my original Samsung buds sat for probably over 2 years too! I loved them when they worked and had to just set them aside because I couldn't stand listening to equal volumes in either ear.
This was incredible!! Typing this on my phone while listening clearly through my earbuds for the first time in a month! There should be more of such content online!!!
Bro.. I just had a pair given to me by my brother.. looking for about an hr for anything to help before I saw this. Just saved me 200 bucks! Awesome job!
Thank you so much bro. I got these for my birthday and less than a month they started playing at a lower volume and screeching. I didn't think wax could possibly be there in a weeks of usage but then i remember my nephew borrowed them and guess what he left all of his wax in there. I did everything you said and they work perfectly again, thanks again man and merry Christmas 🙏🏽🎄

I can’t believe that it’s been month that I found your video but I wasn’t sure if this procedure will work, so I never even tried. Cleaning fixed mine. Used a q-tip, soft bristle toothbrush, and 90% isopropyl alcohol. Took rubber tips off, rubbed q-tip with alcohol over metal, lightly brushed metal with toothbrush. Let it sit and dry for an hour and bam, works again! :D
Great video. I used to clean the grill from the outside but eventually that stopped working. Once I took the grill off and removed the filter, there was a pile of wax and gross hair. Shiny and good audio now. Thanks, mate.

I'm telling you!!! It just... works! The filters need to be cleaned and it's as if the buds reset when they are! Happy for you GazDoran!
Bro, you are a lifesaver. This worked like a charm and fixed my left earbud. After cleaning my left earbud, the sound was so much louder and improved that I decided to clean the right earbud as well just to improve the sound quality. Thanks a lot man. ☺
Man you have no idea how much these kind success comments make my day! I made the video just to hopefully help one or two people out and seriously.... all the kind words from people like yourself just continue to brighten my days when I'm least expecting it
Astoundingly easy fix for a seemingly unresolvable issue. Thanks dude!!!
Holy shit thank you so much man, my left bud became so quiet I was almost thinking about buying new ones.
But this worked phenomenally, thanks again!!
Leroy! It's my pleasure, boss! It was my left one that turned down too! And it's such a bummer because the ear buds are so comfortable and great sounding when they ARE working. Glad we could get yours functioning again
oh shit i was skeptical but felt like i had nothing to lose..WOW ITS ALIVE !!!! It really worked and you're the MAN !! MY GF bought the bud pro and they don't fit like the plus . Let me just say I'm returning the pro back to Costco lol. the bud + is the best in my opinion!! THANK YOU for sharing this 🙏 I'M BACK IN Business and happy as HELL !! ALL BECAUSE OF YOU AND YOUR VIDEO!!
@@leocrowley7940 Let's goooooooo!!!!!!! And yeah bro!! The Buds+ are where it's at! I've owned them all, and, ofc everyone has different needs and likes but for me they are the best overall in design comfort sound ... everything. Glad to see someone else agrees 😁😁
I was very skeptical of this method and i had feared this would break my headphones but this 100% worked for me and upon opening the grid i saw alot of earwax on the filter and after cleaning it off it started working perfectly once again big thanks!
This fixed my earbuds and I had the exact problem you mentioned. Amazing stuff, thank you!
‼‼🔥🔥🔥😂😂❤❤💪💪🤛🤛
This is a legendary comment! Educating everybody who stops by this video - Thanks so much Rebel!
@@thematrix3431 I'm a scientist, and I love to spread knowledge.
In the future, if you find yourself in a somewhat similar situation with some other device, you can use a hair dryer (CAREFULLY!!!) to warm up the adhesive and that will make it easier to remove whatever you are looking to remove :)
So glad you got it figured out, though! Thanks for dropping a comment with the great news!
@@thematrix3431 That's a good input, thank you for the idea!! 🙏☺️
@@robinkoll4731 how did u remove the glue?
@@ragemonkey5758 With a needle I just tried to gently scratch it off. To solve the glue I also used a tiny bit of vinegar which I carefully applied onto it. I also read that acetone is a helpful liquid to remove glue, which you find in nail polish remover. And as you can see The Matrix mentioned using a hairdryer in order to warm it a little which makes glue easier to remove.
i just recommend being gentle and patient, preventing any damage to your bud. I was scratching the glue off for at least 10 minutes until suddenly the metal grill came off :)
Bro, out of many vids on this topic it was the only one advising the clearing the buds, and it helped me, I'm grateful 🔥
It freaking worked 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 Thank you so friggin' much 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭
😂😂😂😂 LMFAOOOO HELL YEAHHHH BROO LETS GOOOO!!!! SO GLAD TO HEAR IT!!!
Not all heroes wear capes, some of them are just fixing earbuds! Love you, man! It really helped me
This has helped me so much I don't even know how to thank you! I thought my earbuds were completely wasted and there was no way of fixing them without getting them fixed. Now after 2 years of not using them I've come across this video and now I have 2 working earbuds! Thank you very much! :)
Mannnn... I'm honestly just so glad that you didn't throw them out!!! I was in a very similar boat where I set them aside because they REFUSED to work and it was making me so frustrated that I just HAD to find a solution for myself and others. I'm really glad it worked out for you as well! I've got 2 sets of working buds now too haha!
I was having this problem for the past 3 weeks and the sound kept getting lower and lower. Found this vid and tried your method. BOOM! Good as new. Thanks a ton, champ.
How long did it start to happen to you?
DUDE. A YEAR WITHOUT THESE EARBUDS AND THIS IS ALL I HAD TO DO? you have no idea man you are an absolute godsend
Yo!!! SHOUTOUT TO YOU for holding on to hope for over SIX months!!! Your patience was rewarded!
Brother, thank you!! You just saved me $$. I was about to throw my Galaxy Buds 2 out. Your video fixed my bud back to 100%
OMG! I was like theres no way this guy knows what hes talking about when I tried everything. IM FREAKING BLOWN AWAY! IT WORKED! Dont hesistate to give this a try. I had a hard time getting the metal piece off but after seems like forever. I got it off. THANK YOU SO MUCH!😊
This video right here is exactly why I love youtube. Been struggling with this issue for months, but didn't have the guts to tear it open!
I CAN'T BELIEVE!!!!
I was extremely skeptical, but it was EXACTLY as you described. Just little wax between the filter and the metal piece. Thank you for the detailed tutorial!
Mate I have never commented of a single TH-cam video before. I was going to be charged over $300 to get mine cleaned. This worked perfectly! Love your work mate thanks heaps!
Mannnnn I'm so honored to have your affirmation and support bro!!! Much love from Dallas! Couldn't be more excited you stumbled on this video and are back in business!
I rarely ever comment on things but your video was amazing and 100% worked. This issue has been driving me nuts for a while. Your directions were super clear and your explanation about what the problem was in the first place makes so much sense. Thank you!!!
I thought my earbud was broken! Worked beautifully!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!
This vid was a life saver! I had given up on these earbuds for a few years, but now they actually work
And here I was, going through the reviews of all the new Samsung Earbuds wondering how much money I gotta spend to replace my busted Buds and then I found this fix.
Much props for helping us all out, man!
WOW!! Thank you sir. My right side is working again! I was really bummed about my expensive ear buds. You restoreth my faith in TH-cam and my fellow man. TKS again
Same as others, I didn’t expect this to work for me, but it did! Now my left earbud is back to full volume. You're the best!
This worked....getting the metal grating put was a pain, but when I did I was shocked to see the ear wax...thanks a million
Not only did it fix the low sound, one of the earpieces was whistling like crazy and LOUD too
And this clean up fixed it
Thank you...really
Omgggggg thanks a tonn,i thought both my galaxy buds 1 and 2 were gone.
But i followed these steps and recovered both of em!!
Hey man, I think this is one of my first TH-cam comments, you really deserve it, awesome job, it worked!
Giovanni! I'm really grateful you'd take the time to leave some kind words my brother! Even more stoked for you that your buds are working again! Much love to you from Dallas 👊👊👊👊👊
Getting the metal thing off on the first bud was really tricky, but the second one was much easier. They work like a charm now, thank you so much!
thanks dude, didn't even need to remove the grate i just had to removed some wax around it that i had not seen before and now it works
Brother, you just helped me revive all three pairs of my bluetooth earbuds that I thought were lost... Every last pair, including my $200 pair of Jabras that I thought were lost. Thank you so so much. Subscribed and liked.
This actually worked! My left bud was much quieter and followed your steps to clean the bud. Thank you for the tip.
My left earbud started showing the symptoms and thanks to your video I managed to fix them, thanks a lot
My right earbud had gone down to a whisper at full volume. I try to keep my earbuds clean and didn't see any visible wax anywhere, even once I removed the metal piece and filter, but followed the steps anyway...and it works again! Amazing! Thank you!
Dude! It's WORK!!!!
not kidding....the black filter behind the mess is the culprit...follow his instructions, and you will be happy...thanks man.
Absolute legend and saved me a lot of money bro tysm!!!❤❤❤
No doubt bro!! Happy to help!
Greatest video on TH-cam. Bro took that silver grill off with a paper cutter now it works. Mine was completely blocked
It worked 100%.
I have mine for 2 years now, I always thought the volume getting lower was some mechanism to stop battery life span from degrading faster. I guess I was way off. I honestly didn't remember how loud they were. You saved me from getting new ones. Thank you
All the best. ❤️
I was literally looking for a replacement for my right buds and I came across your video..I did the steps and I was surprised that even though I couldn't find earwax, I cleaned the inside and removed the filter and that was it
... Thank you very very much
No doubt! I got you!!
Not even exaggerating, for over a year i havent used these because of this problem, god bless you!
isca!!!! I was the LITERAL exact same way!!!! And my original Samsung buds sat for probably over 2 years too! I loved them when they worked and had to just set them aside because I couldn't stand listening to equal volumes in either ear.
Thank you SOOOOOO much!! My buds haven't worked for month and now they feel brand new!! Life saver
This was incredible!! Typing this on my phone while listening clearly through my earbuds for the first time in a month! There should be more of such content online!!!
just tried this and fixed my earbuds that have been so quiet for years
im so happy thank you for the early xmas present brother
Good explaining
I followed every step and it worked.
LIKE A BOSS* 👍
YOU DA MAN
THANKS BRO.
😎
BRUH I KID U NAWT
THIS LITERALLY WORKED ..KUDOS TO U ❤
MY BUDS ARE LITERALLY SOO PRECIOUS TO ME U SAVED MY LIFE ❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my gosh, I love you so much!!! I was so ready to get rid of my earbuds and find something new but I figured I’d try your tutorial! Even though it didn’t look like there was any earwax on the filter, my right earbud literally sounds brand new!! Thank you so much🫶🏼🫶🏼
Literally worked as intended when I thought it wouldn't, nice!
My buds sat around for about a year. WAS going to finally toss them but spent some time and found this DIY vid. NAILED IT...thank you so much. 100% ear wax. Clean those lil' pricks.
Thank you my man!! 100% audio returned! I was about to buy new earbuds thinking a speaker had busted.
WOW!! I started watching this thinking it was another TH-cam video that gives advice that doesn't work but HOW WRONG could I be!!! Thanks for saving me throwing my earbuds in the bin!!!
Tom!!! Welcome to the group of skeptics turned believers haha! We're happy to have another brother among us!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I can’t believe that it’s been month that I found your video but I wasn’t sure if this procedure will work, so I never even tried. Today is Boxing Day, I thought that I’m going to buy the Apple earbuds. But first I wanted to give it a try to fix my Samsung earbuds. IT WORKED!!!! ❤❤❤❤ thank you so so so so sooooo much!!! You are a genius!!!!
Samsung quoted me £50-£80 for this as a repair!! this 5 min fixed got my quiet right earbud working again. Thankyou!
You saved my galaxy buds!! I cleaned them like you did and they're working like New!! Thanks Bro!!
