When I pulled my earbud out of my head a wax ball came rolling out of my ear canal. It was proportionally like the boulder that almost crushed Indiana Jones. I made a candle out of it that still burns today.
Alternatively, take a cue tip and some isopropyl alcohol. Clean off the metal grill making sure to get in good enough to dislodge any debris. Hold the bud in such a way that the liquid cannot enter far into the device. Dry the bud off and allow the alcohol to evaporate. Hopefully then it'll be good as new without having to disassemble.
This actually worked, Ive been looking for a video that explains such a simple fix, i did the same and went through the software route and couldnt find a problem, then i just did this and cleaned it. And just like that it was brand new again. Informative video!
it worked! tysm! do you have any specific glue that you use to put the lil grate back in? i wanna glue it back but i don’t wanna break it lol update: for anyone wondering i used super glue and a toothpick to apply it and it seemed to work!
Holy moly thank you so much i genuinely thought i broke my earbuds this actually fixed although i kindo broke mine because mines a different brand of buds i just glued it back and it sounds just like the original
I have the same problem with the right earphone, the left one was fine, after the manipulation I had to do the left one because the sound was not as good as the right one, thank you very much for the video, I appreciated it +++. I have new earphones
I had 2 galaxy + buds, one went silent on one side and, after a couple of years, the replacement did the same. WOW, this neat little procedure fixed both of them! Did not expect it to work, but,100% x2 !😊
Funny thing is that I've been suffering from this problem from days now and right after I finished this video my buds are to working perfectly fine without any efforts
I cleaned my JBL tune 225TWS and it got really quiet on both, how do I fix it? also how do I take the little silicon thing around the bud off (it doesnt look like one of those bulky removable ones)
I was thinking these is too easy to be the problem, with the ear cushions I didn’t think debris could get that far down to cause any problem…. they looked clean. Gave this a try and back up and running. Excellent job! Thank you.
Did you try this? I'm getting buzzing and rattling on my right one when both buds are in use.. I do have a lot of ear wax so I guess I'll find out if this procedure helps
I have the same question. He goes from the earbud being disassembled to.... well I cleaned it and its all back together, and not mentioning what he used to attach the small metal screen.
Well that worked....somehow lmao i looked at the pieces and they didnt seem clogged or anything just a couple holes covered so i dont understand but it worked lol
Exactly what happened with me. The right side went to about 50% vol level compared to the left. Did almost exactly as what you did except I used a q-tip & IPA to wipe clean the membrane & grille. All's back to normal again, just hope the grille won't fall off some day 😝
thank you so much! After cleaning outside of earbud i was scared that something inside was broken. But thanks to your video everything works very well!
I thought mine broke and I didn't wanna get new ones then I saw this and was absolutely terrified to take it apart but I did anyways and it worked! This was so helpful!! THANK YOU 😭🙏🙏

Epic stuff Christopher! quick and easy. Nothing can beat that warm feeling when you repair something...
I was very skeptical about this. But I tried it and it WORKED!!!! I was actually shocked (and happy). This saved me $250 for sure. Thank you!!!
The glue was there for a reason. Did you replace it with new glue? What's holding everything back together?
Looks like another viewer posted that they applied super glue with a toothpick, but that was my first question haha.
You are a legend. I tried every possible thing and it didnt work, but this worked perfectly. Thanks man, you just saved me some money. Big 👍
I got a New headphone Just a week Ago and this happened today, i refused tô believe It was this, but alas It was
When I pulled my earbud out of my head a wax ball came rolling out of my ear canal. It was proportionally like the boulder that almost crushed Indiana Jones. I made a candle out of it that still burns today.

That 100% worked for me! Scared about doing the missing content from the video, but my right bud's volume is the same as my lefty's again. Thx!

Thank you so much, I had to take off the membrane with a staple and take out a a ball of debris and sadly lost the membrane but it worked
Fantastic! Thanks for this works perfectly now. Just be sure to do it on a desk and use tweezers to pick it up etc
I did this to mine and omg WHAT A DIFFERENCE it's like they are brand new, day one 200 dollar headphones again
thanks, man much appreciate it. mine just needed a good wiping with a cloth then boom all was fine.
my left galaxy bud + has gone quieter and also lost its passive sound, anyone else get this?

Yeah legend well done mate
Thank you so much. Literally took 2 minutes to fix after a month of low sound.
I allmost bought new earbuds! because of your video i don't have to! Thanks a million
