My Android phone didn't display wifi/network settings in the Alexa/Echo menus as in the video. What worked on my Echo Show device: Pull down from the top of the screen to display settings. My Echo was still connected to the old (dead) network, so I tapped on the listed name of my new network and entered its password. It then asked for my Amazon password to confirm my identity. Easy once you know! This may help people with no cellphone, too.

We have long resisted getting an Echo. Never really saw a need. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB When we recently completed some remodeling in our home, we realized we had failed to add a switch to turn on a certain lamp across the room. We couldn't run new wiring (which would have been expensive if we could), so we got our first Echo which completely solved our problem for about $40 (Echo Dot and smart plug). We just ask Alexa to turn on/off that light. Heartily recommend it to solve this kind of conundrum!

Good video. However, it did not address my issue. My issue is that I changed the Router/Modem device and decided to name the new wifi name the same as the one I had in the previous router/modem. Of course, because the ip and Mac settings change, but the wifi name did not, Alexa will insist on keeping the old setup. I need to erase that name and renter it. I don’t see in the Alexa setting any delete or “forget” option as I do in other wifi gadgets. Do you know how to accomplish this in Alexa?

Doesn't work on the Echo Show's if you change your SSID. I don't get why Amazon chooses to treat shows so different than other echo devices for settings like this. You simply can't update this stuff on a show from the app.

Thx for this video. Unfortunately, it didn't totally address my issue. Wondering if you have advice on how to keep my alexa units from toggling the network. It seems like if my internet drops and comes back online, some of the units will connect to network 'A' while others connect, or stay connected, to network 'B'. This presents a problem when I want to play music on a group as the devices in that group are connected to two different networks. I usually go through the process you outlined in your video to get all devices back on the correct network, which works for a bit, but then after a while, the same thing happens again. It's a major pain having to fix / change the network on some of the units all the time. Any advice, please and thanks!

When I click change networks, it of course searches for a wifi network, my TP link is about 3 feet away, the dlink is 200 feet, it will not let me type in in by hand, as it chooses to try to find the network, I've tried every suggestion on the web on how to reset this thing and nothing works

Good Luck on that. The "FORGET" button worked. Too bad they do not explain it.
