Periscope zoom optics have been around for a good while now, the first consumer digicams to use them were the various Minolta Dimage X* series models from 2002-4. The cheaper ones with their plastic optics in particular were not that good, but they were super compact for the day.
This is absolutely insane! 😱 The biggest iPhone in the world? You guys really took things to the next level with this build. The sheer size and detail are mind-blowing, and seeing how functional it is just makes it even crazier.
