- In this talk by Golda-Lee Bruce she shares the heart-wrenching story of being a journalist at the scene of a fire. On that night, she considered showing a woman whose child had just died compassion. Instead, she listened to the invisible chorus we all try to drown out. She shares how she arrived at a profound insight from her experience that day. Love is always appropriate. Not just love, but radical love is always appropriate. Our world could use more of it and so can you. Golda Lee Bruce wants to leave the world better than she found it. She believes in the power of stories to motivate people and transform lives. As a journalist and news anchor for over a decade, Golda told the stories of the people of the Caribbean. She continues this work as a Development Storyteller.
As a presenter, speaker, and writer Golda uses her platform to inspire young people in particular. She encourages them to aspire beyond their circumstances, something she was encouraged to do as a student. Golda earned her undergraduate degree in Media and Communication from the University of the West Indies, Mona and her graduate degree in journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York. Golda is indeed the epitome of Love. I came across one of her speeches on Facebook and followed her immediately. After a while, I was nominated to give a graduation speech at my uni. It was my first attempt at public speaking. I did a draft speech, sent it to Golda on Facebook messenger. Golda helped edit and perfect my speech. It was a great speech that exposed me to enormous recognition. Thank you Golda for being a great mentor from afar. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece. This is very true, the first interaction when loving a stranger may not be recognized, however when they look back the feeling that was felt at that moment will never be forgotten.
She is such a phenomenal woman! Takes guts to love radically...but as the bible says, perfect love drives out all fear! :)

Simple truth...excellent delivery Golda!
Golda, you're becoming what God intended and you're reflecting His image. This is because you have discovered that you are God's child (first) and you understand and embrace all that it involves. Place the challenges in His hand and continue to make yourself available to Him. "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father...in Heaven." Matt 5:16
This was very deep. We live in a very apathetic world and if we're not careful, it too can cause us to become the same. And because it's becoming somewhat of a trend, someone who shows love is looked at as someone with motives. Many are afraid to show love and accept it because of the lack of love. You summed it up perfectly. "Perfect love cast out all fear." 1John 4:18
