    I also did some tests in regards to SD cards. I used a 128GB UHS II SanDisk Extreme Pro V90 card, works fine. And also a 32GB SanDisk Ultra UHS I card which worked fine too. So, it doesn’t need super high speed card for recording

    great monitor, was really looking forward to 4k 60 for the G9 for half the price of the atomos

      Yeah, that would’ve been awesome. But I think this monitor/recorder is a step in the right direction. Hopefully we’ll be seeing even better specs for the price in future products

    Hello Sebastian, finally I bought this monitor.
    Colors and brightness are fine, as you described. Bootup time is, like you mentioned, slow, 32 seconds. I think I can live with this.
    Most important, I bought this monitor because I thought it is fan less. Suddenly I heard a fan and was very disappointed. Luckily you can switch it off.
    But how does it works outdoor in full sun? I record the audio for the videos with a stereo mic direct next to the monitor and definitely don't want to have a fan noise.
    Did you use the monitor outdoors in full sun without fan? I did and it worked, but still don't trust it.

      I haven’t had any issues with this monitor. I still use it regularly. I have used it in direct sunlight as well with an ambient temperature of around 25 degrees celsius, but I did keep the fan on. Haven’t tested it without.

    Hello Sebastian
    What I miss in your explanation about the Symbol Memory 1 is what the audio options are. And especially the volume for the headphones.
    I ask because I find the G9's volume too low when I'm in the crowd. (Camjo) Despite the fact that I have the headphone volume on level 12 with the G9. (even with anti-sound on)
    If I connect my headphones to my external monitor (MustHD) then I have a good volume on the headphones, but then I have a large delay on the headphones, so this does not work
    I have seen you the explanation of the Atosmos Ninja 5 in this area.
    This one has all these options and this would solve my headphone problem, but of course it comes with a nice price tag.
    So therefore my question, what about the Symbol Memory 1.

      @RedFrameTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Louis. I didn’t say much about audio with the Memory 1, because it only has a headphone out port and no setting except for headphone volume.
      You’ll end up with the same delay you talk about, which is a video-over-HDMI issue and will occur with any monitor.
      Maybe a solution for you would be to use ‘closed back’ headphones.

    • @loukruisbergen413
      @loukruisbergen413 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RedFrameTech Hello Sebastian
      I use Bose headphones with background suppression
      what you call 'closed back' headphones.
      If I understand you correctly, every monitor that is connected with HDMI suffers from this delay problem.
      So the Ninja 5 too?
      If so, then I will have to look for another solution.
      Thanks again.
      Gr. Louis Kruisbergen

    • @RedFrameTech
      @RedFrameTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Louis. I don’t know which Bose headphones you have, but in general; headphones with active noise cancelling usually automatically turn off that noise cancelling when you plug a 3.5mm jack into it. It usually can only be activated when the headphones are in use via bluetooth. That might be a good thing to check with yours.
      And yes, video and audio have delay over HDMI. Some camera/monitor combinations will have more delay than others, but there’s always a delay (also Ninja V).
      The best thing is always to monitor directly from the camera. If it’s too quite for you then it might be the headphones (and headphone volume) or even the mic gain in the camera. Maybe that’s set too low?

    Hey man! Just got a Memory I Pro, loaded my LUTs to the SD Card but they don't show on the import screen. Any clues?
    *I have three versions of each LUT: 3DL, Cube and CSP and neither seem to be detected :/

    • @RedFrameTech
      @RedFrameTech  ปีที่แล้ว

      Two things I can think from the top of my head;
      1 Make sure to use 33 point cube LUTs.
      2 The file names of the LUTs cannot contain any spaces or special characters.
      Hope it helps!

      You’re a Portuguese speaker right? Any chance that the filenames contain letters that are not in the English alphabet? Like an ‘ã’ for example? That might cause the issue

    just bought the shimbol memory pro, do you feel your recorded footage on your shimbol temperature more purple then the camera footage?

    • @RedFrameTech
      @RedFrameTech  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven’t noticed that. But to be honest, I don’t really use the recording functionality other than for recording camera menus for tutorials. I don’t know about the memory pro, but the video recorded by the memory 1 is very low bit rate and in 8bit.

    • @RedFrameTech
      @RedFrameTech  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is a very good question. I’m actually not sure. But data rates aren’t very high in any case, so a v60 card or maybe even a v30 will do. Maybe I’ll do some tests and do a short follow up video.
      Thanks for bringing that up

    Very interesting.
    I shall pass this episode onto a friend to help with production of his TH-cam channels. I think he'll be able to accept the price of this monitor over the Ninja V.
    If the option is still available to you, I'd give the unboxing idea a bit of a rethink. I've only done two, for amusement, and was very surprised at how many views they got. You may even get one or two subs into the bargain.😀
    I'm still ploughing my way through your livestream because I don't want another project ruined again by Atomos not compensating for "Monitoring LUTS"😭😭😭
    I chickened out with my last episode and left the Ninja at home, just in case of User Stupidity.🥸😱

    • @RedFrameTech

      Thanks for sharing the video Frank!
      I’ll reconsider unboxings. I do realise that some people enjoy them. It’s just that for me, I take a product out of the box which then straight away disappears into the storage closet and I never look at it again😂
      I’m sure you’ll be able to use the Ninja V properly. Just try. I also had many failures.. and if you have any questions, just ask me. Either here in the comments or just shoot me an email. Happy to help

      @@RedFrameTech I've created some great projects with my Ninja. And looking back, its when I've used it with a washed out LOG profile that I get best results. I just needed to join the dots. Which you did for me. 😀
      And as for unboxings, I've looked at a couple when deliberating over a bit of kit to buy. Its strange but there is some sort sense of scale looking at a product in the hand. Also it gives a clue as to what extras are included, or not, in the box. For example when choosing my Atomos Ninja, I watched a few unboxings to decide if I wanted the bog standard Ninja or the Pro kit version. Unboxings have a time and a place, and if you've got something new, then people are gona wana see what they may be buying next.
      I'm below 1k subs, while you are not, so you may as well get a little something from the opportunity of all those potential views. Otherwise, why would potential manufacturers send you stuff, if its not going to be seen?
      Food for thought.
