I’ve been trying to figure out for the longest why I wasn’t able to load LUTs to this with any of my SD cards…thanks to this video I now know haha. Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks. I just received this today thanks to this video. Yes, the screen is amazing. Looks a lot better than the Feelworld LUT5 monitor (not as bright) but the sharpness and clarity are amazing for half the cost.
@@PavSZ Just did a few recordings using this monitor and man, love it already, the 1000 nits is a game changer from the older previous gen 450 ones, and 5.5" is the perfect size
I have been using a 7 inch monitor with a hood. And I find it's too cumbersome and heavy for shooting. I just ordered this one for a more streamlined set up. Looking forward to try it.
I have one issue with mine. I'm using it on my pocket 4k and the Osee is much brighter than my pocket. That means if I would trust the Osee the image would be quite under exposed. My pocket displays the right image and the display is on full brightness. I can't find any way to calibrate this in the menu system?
Question. I want a monitor for my lumix g9 and am not worried about 10 bit or longer 4k recording times. I film paintball video (Speedball fast paced) and want a monitor that is primarily for viewing while filming. And the price would allow me to take changes get shot lol. Does the histogram and things on the monitor go based off the monitor or is it just a mirror reflection of what your camera shows once connected. Prolly sounds dumb but yea. Also I primarily shoot in shutter priority mode with afc, does the monitor lag really or have issues on those aspects? Thanks
Monitor shows exactly what camera is feeding to it and it is very good at it. Very, very small lag over HDMI cable, millisecond, not really noticeable in real world. This would work very well for what you film
I have one of these and when I create custom MySet pages, it does NOT save when I turn the monitor off. Do you have the same issue? Or does yours save the pages you create? Please help
I have noticed that it didn't save the settings first few times I switched it on but it seems to be doing it now. There is some kind of glitch for sure
What's about fan noise? At which brightness level the fan kicks in? As you said it's amazing for light rigs run & gun but if the fan is audible it's a deal breaker.
I didn't noticed fan noise at all. I use Ninja V on run and gun rigs with a video mic on top and the fans never been a problem for me - and that one is loud
@@PavSZ Touchscreen, it easier to navigate the menu, perhaps the colors? from my eyes at least but this comes from memory so don't quote me on that. And the HDMI at the back makes more sense if you are like me where you keep flipping the screen back and forth for self-shooting and shooting others. But I'm quite intrigue by the Viltrox 550 pro also though, but never had a chance to try that out.
I mostly need a monitor for checking focus and composition. My fuji xt2 already has plenty tools... (focus peaking//histogram/ etc.) ..What I need is a monitor that works with Log ( F-log). So far the budget monitors I've tried do not work when camera is set to Log (screen goes black till set to 1080). Will the Osee T5+ work for me?
@@PavSZ You never heard of monitors not working with log? I must be doing something wrong cuz the budget monitors/apps I've tried only work in 1080. Each time I set my camera to Log setting...screen goes black. When I set camera to 1080...it works. Seems the problem has to do with fuji cameras or something.
@@peter-iq5en I had that issue with my x-t3. you can set your SD & HDMI f-log, but set your 4k movie output to SD-4k and HDMI-HD. If set to that, I can even record 4k 60fps internally and still see my f-log setting in the monitor
@@PavSZ it's light weight, 6" and budget friendly plus I only buy products after seeing your review and f6 plus is the only budget friendly monitor available in my country.
@@PavSZ Sorry didn't mean to offend you. These are people who work locally here shooting for Discovery channel, and other TV shows. They of course recommended getting a monitor once you have money, but since your video is about budget, they also mentioned it's the best budget option. You can load luts on it, use it with anamorphic and etc. It's a super app. This is recommended for extra cheap phones ($30 ebay androids) that you don't use for calling. Or an old phone you don't actually use and it's just lying around.
@@BlizzardOfSeptember you didn't offend me at all. It's not a good option to use any phone for a camera monitor. I'd prefer to use the camera's build in screen instead. Phones, especially cheap Android phones (and more expensive too) adjust the screen brightness when it is too bright outside, even if you disable that function in the settings. Also you will get some lag when there is a delay on the screen. I wouldn't recommend it unless it is just for fun
@OP - That app doesn't support Lumix cameras, that's one major problem. Second problem is latency, which is a major issue with any Wireless app. You could use Accssoon SeeMo (or M1) to use your phone with cables, but a film set is a messy place. You don't want to chance your phone falling and breaking by some accident. Better to get a cheap monitor (even a second hand one)

You need to use that silver screw to adjust the rotation tightness of the tilt arm, the plastic knob is only used for connection

Yeah, 7" monitors usually are dwarfing the cameras. You'll like this. Not only great colour but also great monitor overall

it can although it is meant for video work it can be used for photography as well

I just got it today, for some reason it’s not showing a signal from EOSR
have you got your output set to 4k (or higher)?
