Sapporo Subway - Slant front cars/cricket track noise

  • This rubber tyred metro has 3 lines, with full size cars (unlike Paris and elsewhere). The sounds are out of this world. The cars are the oldest currently in service and date from about 1971. There was at least one series of similar cars that the system opened with, but they are gone. Of course they are in like new condtion. there is an outdoor section on structure that is covered but there are continuous windows on both sides. notice the 'step aside' boxes which indicate not to stand where doors will open.

    What a loud announcement! I, a singaporean guy have a train too but named SMRT. It was a clean station.
