Rolex VS Seiko VS Microbrand VS Seiko - GMT Comparison (PART 1)

- I´ve been thinking about this one for a while, and now it´s finally done. A small and casual comparison of my current collection of GMT´s.
This video features 4 watches, and the full version came in at over 40 minutes... So I had to split to video in two parts.
Part 1 (this video) is me showing you the watches, giving you the specs and talking about them. Part 2, which will be released next week, is me talking about some points that I find interesting about these watches. Points like value, perceived value, bang for the buck, brand recognition, overpricing etc.
Since it was supposed to be one video, all the wrist-shots are in part 2. Wasn´t planned like that but that´s how it played out. I hope you understand :)

Don't like the looks of the Nezumi as much as the Seikos, but I'll take sapphire over hardlex any day if the week.

Seiko are fast becoming a fashion watch at this stage in 200-600 bracket they just are not competing on specs at all. It seems they are relying purely on brand and legacy while so many micros are bringing real value.

I can walk into any jewelry store and walk out wearing a Seiko of my choice. Good luck getting one of your precious micro brands. They're always sold out, and nobody knows what you've got on your wrist. Everyone knows what a Seiko is.
@@justmeeagainn Go enjoy your mineral crystal, hollow end links, stamped clasps, and weak finishing homie. You proved my point that they rely on brand and legacy above specs and value. I know some micros are tough to get but there are many many more that are not, there's an endless assortment of micros you can buy instantly. Also, tone it down bro, it was just an observation, no need to come after me and my 'precious micros brands' 😉

Can you get your nezumi on discount? Because the Seikos are realistically purchased by at least 25% off RRP. In the UK these are on sale for as low as £300 (about 380 USD) from an RRP of £410 (I found the deal at Rubicon watches).
No one has to pay RRP for Seiko so this should be taken into consideration
This is true, and yet it’s not true all the time. I think that watch people, who know a little about watches (like me and you) we know that it’s possible to get a discount straight from the AD on almost every Seiko. A little harder on the limited edition models but still, almost every model.
But I think that the vast majority, the random schmoe that steps into a watch shop to buy himself a nice watch, or someone buying a watch to their kid as a graduation gift, or maybe some random dude buying a watch for his wife etc, the definitely pay full retail. And I think that most people actually do this.
And let’s not forget all the people that are buying their watches from online shops. We have a lot of Swedish online stores that sell a lot of Seikos, and you can’t negotiate a discount from an online store, unless you wait for them to have a sale or something.
And yes, you could get the Nezumi at a discount as well. No doubt 😊👍

Yeah, they do have inferior specs but the design team over at Seiko need a round of applause 😊
