When you slide the spring over the throttle shaft and align it with the stop on the throttle housing the loop which hooks onto the throttle body cam is in a position where there would be ZERO tension. For this reason you need to rotate the cam/spring preloading it a bit until the cam aligns with the shaft and slides over. The end result is a much easier throttle pull. I just rode this last weekend and loved it. - Van
We are hoping to get Max on a Supersport bike next year. So far I have done all of the riding on this bike with the exception of one session he rode it at Barber. - Van
Norton makes a nice quick turn throttle for the R7. It’s made from aluminum instead of plastic like the stock throttle tube.
We have the first ones from Motion Pro on the way now. Should have that installed for our next ride for sure. - Van
I have the same grips on my bike, Driven Racing.
These are some of my favorite grips. - Van
So you preloaded the soft spring by turning it about a full turn or more, right?

I keep thinking this R7 is going to show up on a MA twins cup grid before long......
Literally 2 seconds after I commented you said he won't be racing this 😅
