Honestly, I've had my harbor freight stand for a good 3 years and have yet to have a problem with it. Then again my bike doesn't have arms to bend it in half....
I had a harbor freight stand and it was shit and unstable. I paid alot of money for my zx10r and im not gonna be a cheap ass and risk having it fall over.
I'm sure the companies he is supporting (whether paying him or not) are great, but many cheaper stands are absolutely fine. The ones he bent prove nothing of how well they work as stands, he put stress in a way they just simply will not be stressed in use for what they were designed.
So i notice everyone in this thread says the Harbor Freight stand is fine except the guy who pointed out he has the ZX10R. Which got me wondering, what and how large of bikes do you other folks have? Maybe the Harbor Freight is just sketchy with 1000cc bikes 🤷
I’ve been using reasonably priced stands for years and not once had a problem of a bike being poorly supported or fall. Just take time to adjust them properly and they’ll serve you fine. You don’t need stands that cost hundreds of £’s or $’s.
There are plenty of riders who have used cheaper stands and not had a problem for sure. There are also plenty of stories from riders who learned this lesson the hard way. IMO there are better places to save a few bucks than a set of motorcycle stands. The purpose of this is to show even though they may look similar in the photos they are not all created equal. All riders should do their own research before purchasing so their expectations match the end result. Thanks for sharing your experience. - Brian Van
Why is everyone being so hard with their comments here? He clearly states more than once he is giving his own opinion. Feel free to take the info any way you want and buy what you want, but why all the hate man?? I use a trackside stand and have not had any issues with it, but I have friends who have Pitbulls and they are a better quality....Being said, I guess I need one. And good vid SPTG!! Keep up the good work.
nike12000 it’s well done though, it’s how sport bike track gear works, they only sell it if they believe in the product. Also if you respect welds or the folks who do it for a living, it well worth knowing the difference. I’m sure there are folks or younger kids out there who don’t know what to look for or didn’t know the quality difference until they saw this.
Your test is meaningless, you are putting forces where they don’t matter just to brake the handle of the stand... you can brake a brick by gently knocking it in half but you can also use it to stack it neatly 20 storeys high. And that my friend is good analogy here ;) I have the second stand that you broke. My bike is 230kg and I’ve been sitting on it and jumping around and it’s all fine
Stability is the biggest issue, we have a follow up video going up today covering this. If the bike wobbles on the stand it is junk IMO. I have used stands from most brands at this point and have more real world experience to support this than any other motorcycle stand video on TH-cam. - Brian Van
@@sportbiketrackgear if the ground is not level your stand will wobble or flex no matter whose name is on it fact a shit stand on good ground is better than a good stand on shit ground
The Japanese make one hell of a great bike for sure. Pit Bull and Woodcraft both produce some of the finest products in our industry. This is more about investing in a quality product than it is supporting a US company. If the imported stands were better I would not hesitate to say that. Thanks for watching and not making fun of my shirt! - Brian Van
Hey I agree 100% dude. I was just giving you shit. I love the new Yamahas. They are sharp aaannndd I think they are the best looking bike ever made from behind.
I had TrackSide stands for my ‘07 R1 front and rear and bike never fell over in the 7 years I had it. However the front stand did seem “sketchy”. Now after using my friends Pit bull stand on my FZ-09 I can tell a huge difference in the quality and will be buying those this time around.
If most riders had the opportunity to compare both stands before they bought I bet most would leave with a Pit Bull or Woodcraft. We are going to keep a few sets of low line stands here for locals to compare if they want to before purchasing. Thanks for sharing your experience. - Brian Van
Thank you so much. Perfect timing for me. I bought a CBR1000RR after not riding for 25 years. I was confused by all the brands of stands out there and this video was exactly what I needed. I was an engineer at one of the very best machine tool builders (lathes, machining centers, tooling, etc) in the world. Not only is the design and thickness of components important, the actual material (steel) analysis, heat treatment, welding technique, and many, many other things. This is why all these things are so closely regulated in the aerospace industry. Trust me, the Far East still has a lot to learn about building reliable, durable products.
It all depends on how you use the stands. If they’re simply for storage, then cheap ones may do the job. If you’re using them to do work on your bike and using them at the track, then you’re better off buying quality stands like Pit Bull or Wodcraft (I only buy Pit Bull).
8 years using those cheapass motogp stands to do all kind of work on the bike, 10 trackdays a year ... They aren't sketchy at all. Only if the bike and stands are on quite sidewards tilted ground, but still... Pitbull and such... Just buy it if you really want to loose cash, show off or just don't dear to use anything less
I’ve owned a Harbor Freight stand for 4-5 years, since bought a few pit bulls. HF stand still works perfectly. It’s holding up a Triumph Speed Triple at the moment.
I'm a good tig welder in food industry. I have to say I was really impressed they tig welded there pitbull stands. Tig welding takes time. Most companies are into getting things out asap. The welds on my pit bull stand is top notch. Almost as good as me😉
lol I've been there with that exact same Harbor Freight silver stand. It never fully broke but it wobbled and began to bend. Night and day difference with a good product.
I really believe that most riders just have not had experience with both so they do not fully appreciate the value in the higher quality stand. Buy a good one and you never need to replace it. - Van
I have under 1000km of riding under my belt and am a very new owner of a motorcycle and right out of the gate I can appreciate the severity of buying a more expensive quality stand. Not saying pit bull is the only quality stand builder out there, but I wouldn’t go any less than their standard when it comes to propping my baby off the ground. Thanks for the video and ride safe.
What do you think about the vortex or the driven front head lift stands? Are those reliable options? Pitt bull stands are definitely great but honestly they're not affordable to everyone and the fact that they nickel and dime for every little feature like axle holders, caliper holder and even the pin to lift the triple tree! despite the already high starting price is very discouraging honestly.
The Driven and Vortex are only ok to be honest. With the Pit Bull or the Woodcraft you will only need to buy it once and will love the way it works. - Van
Not everyone owns a sportbike shop and has access to any "high dollar" name brand accessories at hand. Some , or most, people live within their means and buy what they can afford.
I watched all of your videos and then purchased a Pit Bull SS rear stand this morning for my S1000RR. After watching the video with your son, I almost purchased a Woodcraft, but you stood on the Pit Bull and I was sold. Thanks Man!
I have been wanting to buy a rear stand for my Busa. After watching this video I ended up buying an SS Pit Bull rear stand. Just like the saying says you get what you pay for. The quality on the Pit Bull stand is second to none. Thanks for putting out this video.
My bike almost fell today because a cheap stand (gifted from a friend) had a weld fail while lifting the bike. Still in my first season of riding, so thank you for all the great content. I'll definitely be ordering a pitbull in the morning.
I learned the hard way. Put my brand new bike on a Harbor Freight stand and scratched the hell out of the swingarm, bike has 40 miles on it. Stand cost me $30. I ordered a Pitbull that night. Lesson learned the hard way.
This is what I am trying to save other riders from. There are so many negative comments in this video I wouldn't be surprised if I get my butt kicked at the MotoGP in Austin this weekend. Maybe I should wear a disguise??? - Van
was it the stand's fault or your own? I've seen many people blaming the gear, when it was them using it wrongly not saying it wasnt, cause I wasnt there, just asking and pointing out to others cheers
I had cheap stands and upgraded to PitBulls. If you work on your bike occasionally and not sure if you will do so in the future, go with cheap stands. If you're using them at least once a month or plan on doing more and more work to the bike, go with PitBulls. It's worth the investment. Cheap stands are pretty sketchy for the rears without spindles, but they get the job done
Don't care what you are buying, never EVER trust a salesman- which is all Brian Vance and his videos are - especially if they say they are telling you THE TRUTH. The only truth is they want to sell product and make money.
What separates me from the rest is I want to sell you a product that delivers performance and value over the long haul. Sometimes that is found in a product that is expensive, sometimes a less expensive item is the way. This is no conspiracy theory man, just a fellow rider sharing knowledge. If you are convinced this video is all BS I will cover your expenses to come to the shop and we will shoot the same video together using the same items. 100% transparency - Brian Van
You bet your ass I want to sell you stuff and make money, that is how I make a living. That said it is more important to me the riders who Choose STG are happy with the items they purchase from us and we EARN the money we make through our service. - Brian Van
I have Pitbull stands and I've been using mine without any problems for 9 Years! And my bike sits on these fuckers for MONTHS on end, year after year during Winter storage! Nothing has bent or been weaken during all this time! I've owned a lil Ninja 250R for the first 2 years I had these Pitbull stands. Currently have my 2009 Ninja 650R (with extra givi touring stuff -ie extra weight) sitting on them for over the last 7 years! Go to a race track, do a trackday. You will see MOST of the riders using Pitbull. That aint no bullshit!
J B, I sell stuff and I am a salesperson.I don't sell any motorcycle stuff or work with Brian. So I got to tell you, if you are selling something good that people want people will buy it. Brian can pick out whatever he likes to sell, he could easily sell you the cheapest one too and promote those. He decided that he only will passionately recommend what he personally would use. Why not trust him, and what is wrong with making money ??? If its a free exchange of money for product then what is wrong with that ? If you have been wronged or something just come out and say it don't do this defaming stuff its weird.
Saying that "if you are selling something good people will buy it" is no longer true. And hasn't been for quite some time. It's evident everywhere. Why do you think so much shit is made in China these days. Unless you are 18 years old, as a salesman surely you would have seen it. People assume that stuff is just simply over priced and a rip off rather than superior quality, and choose to go for the cheap option even if it will only last 1/10th the life of the superior, more expensive product. It's very hard to find genuine quality in anything you buy these days, and it's going to get much worse.
was at a new bike shop in my area.. thought of giving them some business.. just an oil change.. they took time to check my chain slack and brake pads/fluid.. but what made me their return customer was when a hayabusa came in the owner went to get an Oxford stand from local retailer he knew cheap ones cant take the weight willing to fork out money for us customers thats a mark of a great owner.
I've got 8 pairs of stands from Pit-Bull. Had most of them for over 12-15 years and they work and look just as good as day one. Pay a little more; get value.
I have the 39.99 harbor freight garbage stand... It's awesome and works great... My r1 is safe and secure on it... Id feel like a sucker if I spent 4x as much on the same overpriced pitbull stand... This guy needs to chill...I thought he was gonna have a coronary.....I like his shirt too.... My 5 year old wears the same size...
You would have felt like a sucker for paying a fair price for a top quality product that out performs the one you have and will last forever? Harbor freight motorcycle stands are complete garbage, buying that makes you look like more of a sucker than buying a Pit Bull. - Brian Van
@@sportbiketrackgear don't get shirty buy british better quality than the shit your using the sucker who buys for the sake of a name 100$ plus is a moron
Awesome reviews. After finding your site (and watching your videos) I only order my gear from STG now. Only guy or site I trust for honest gear reviews.
I have one of those Track Side stands, and it's not all bad. It works great for storing or wrenching on my superlight sport bikes (Cagiva Mito, Aprilia RS125, Suzuki RG125) but I wouldn't use it to hold up any of my big bikes. Pitbull all the way.
Im a big fan of stg. But I Agreed I have the same trackside rear, as well as the trackside fork lift and head lift. The fork lift is honestly a little sketchy. The head stand is 100% safe and fine. Notice the only one he tries to bend are $100+ stand vs a $ harbor freight stand. I can't bent my trackside stands with any reasonable amount of force, that includes standing on it while its on its side. Ill give you alot of the fork lift stands are sketchy, some better than others. But by the logic of this video, bike stands should be made out of 3" solid steal bar. That way if you try to use is as a shackle between two trucks doing a tug of war, your bike won't fall over? 🤷♂️ lol. Seems like alot over unnecessary energy and flexing in a tight shirt going on here.. "watch me bend 10ga aluminum in a direction it wasn't ment to be stressed!!"
My trackside stands are approaching 8 years old. I'm confident enough to sit on the bike with stands in place and I weight 200lb. Could they have been built stronger? Sure, but that comes at a cost. Like Van said he's no engineer so he's bending the stands at a direction that the stands would never go. If I plan on using stands sideways I will buy pitbull stands.
I just bought Pit Bull's front hybrid stand and rear stand for my 2021 Ducati XDiavel. They are Incredible stands that will last forever, the neck pin and both rear pins fit with a perfect machinist close tolerance..... I have to mention how well everything was packed, each part was individually wrapped in bubble plastic and taped up.
Bro his videos are the real deal. Hes just letting you know the difference in the stands and in his opinion. He has the best videos on gear too. Does he promote the stuff he sells, yes he does but he only sells a few brands and its because he has chosen what he thinks is the best for riders. He has a store he could have everything brand but he doesnt. He does however find the best of the best for people who are on a cheap budget. His sense of humor is dry sometimes but he was having fun. Look at some gear vids. You will change your mind
He ain't wrong. The pitbull stuff is just miles ahead of less expensive stands in terms of quality and strength. You buy a pitbull stand you're never going to have to replace it if you're using it for it's intended purpose. and it's going to have no problems supporting any bike on the market. You can put a bike up on a pitbull stand and then sit on the bike, and you'll feel completely stable. I tried sitting on my 675 while it was up on a HF equivalent stand and it didn't feel secure at all getting up on the bike. After I got off I could see that one of the pipes had flexed. I haven't owned any woodcraft stands, but if their stands are like they crash protection products, they're also going to be excellent.
Great video as usual. Just wish i saw this before i bought my trackside stand. wasnt trying to save money. It just seemed like a quality stand at the time. Fortunately havent had an issue yet with my trackside stand. Holds my RC51, my baby. Definitely in the market for a Pitbull stand now.
Lets just say I worked as a ASM at a place that rhymes with CycleFear witch is the box store affiliate of a place that rhymes with ZedZilla. Well that box store sold 90% garbage all at marked up prices then had "Sales" to make people feel like they were getting a good deal. They sold Trackside stands & with my discount I couldn't pass one up. While the quality doesn't even come close to Pitbull its been working fine for my occasional use. When I replace it and or buy new gear I'll definitely be placing my order through STG. I've ordered from you guys in the past & You guys rock and are honest and straight forward unlike other companies I know of!
The way you review products is awesome your straight to to the point and 100% honest. Your lever review made me order a top brand ckgs because I had no idea the piece inside was causing the brake to stick, you probably saved my life with that information in that video and I want to thank you so much for that. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
unless you want to do suspension work - Watch this video of the $89 dollar Harbor Freight jack, the one that allows front and rear suspension work - th-cam.com/video/2PPgWa4BcjU/w-d-xo.html
Over the years I have seen very few issues with Pit Bull products. So few you could damn near call it no issues. I bought my first Pit Bull stand in 2002 from them directly before I started STG. Pretty sure that was the stand I gave to Jimmy's roommate to replace his junk stand I tore up in the video. - Brian Van
What a load of 'Shite'. No bike ever puts stresses through its frame like you have just demonstrated. All you have proven is that you are an American with muscles, that likes the sound of his own voice. I have that second stand you destroyed, it has served me well for years, with some big heavy bikes on it too. Take a chill pill fella and get your facts straight. ☺️
The second stand I destroyed is an absolute piece of garbage from the workmanship to the materials used. This becomes incredibly clear when you have the opportunity to lift a bike with it and compare it to the Pit Bull or Woodcraft products which I have done. - Brian Van
Sportbike Track Gear I am not sure what you mean by, " this is becomes incredibly clear when you lift a bike with it". I have lifted Pan Europeans, Honda CB1000R, Aprilia Tuono APRC, BMW S1000XR, All without issue or distortion of any way. This must make it a complete piece of garbage! TH-cam sensationalism does not make for truthful and factual information. Whatever floats you boat I suppose. Keep up the good work! That is ironic sarcasm just incase you missed it!!!!!! 😎
I too have the second stand you broke and I agree that these stands do not have to have much lateral strength. I'm 100kg and I've had my zx14r on these stands with me on it and guess what? No damage. No bending or flexing and my bikes live on their stand after 2 years zero issues. Show us how the stands break with bikes on them as they are designed for. Yeah..... didn't think so. Nice gains.
It is beyond me why you would lift any bike with that low quality stand, especially high end bikes like those you have listed. Have you ever had the opportunity to lift a bike with a Pit Bull stand to compare? If you have not you need to get that done then add a couple more comments. - Brian Van
I'm living in another side of the world and I have to say that I do trust strongly in US & EURO goods. From an engineering standpoint, they are reliable and durable. I bought a pitbull stand many years ago and I must say it still stand strong in the test of time. There are other items that I do buy such as flyscreen, fairings, protection and etc. Lasted years and years eventhough through the rough and tough. As a rider, I do compare the cheaper alternatives to the harder ones in terms of durability, history of R&D and few other components such as quality and material. Depends on each individual on choosing which investments that will last a lifetime or rather the economical side of things. Each person to your own and its all about the passion of sharing your interest, especially the freedom to ride. Safety is still no. 1 and I support BV for sharing his knowledge and practical everyday tests on the quality. Cheers.
Vortex makes some amazing products for sure. Love their rearsets, sprockets, chain kits, etc... Their stands are more mid level IMO and not on the same level as their other parts. We have actually added this to the description on our site. If you have the extra money for the Woodcraft or Pit Bull I 100% recommend going with one of those brands. - Van
Using the price of a bike as your number when discussing a bike is totally stupid, right? Sure, he could have used a bigger number, but why is it necessary? And this is some common term, where there's some sense of "proper" now? I think you're just being An Idiot .. ahahaha ...
I think that's a young guy thing or one who's never went on the mile slide. That's a way too common truth in cheap, but as long as they look the part... Then everyone's insurance goes up because of cheap gear, parts, and a bad injury combined due to nature of cheap. They may save a few dollars, but the group will pay the price as insurers calculate new risk assessment for another year.
New to this sport, and I found this really informative. Picked up a woodcraft rear stand. And I nearly bought a cheapo off amazon because I was ignorant. Good video!
I’m surprised this guy can breathe with that small shirt. Between the skateboarding shoes, affliction jeans, and button-splitting small shirt, I bet this guy is a real hoot to hangout with...
I learned my lesson with Harbor Freight stands. lol However, I'm too cheap for Pitbull stands, but the ones I have now are great, have had them for years.
I have stand I bought from an individual. It lifts my bike but the spool adapters are missing it just has angle swing arm frame mounts so it lifts closer forward than the spools. Witch makes it difficult getting the bike on the stand and I have to get help to safely get my heavy 545 lb wet weight Kawasaki ZRX1200R off the stand. I don’t know what brand , no name on it but it definitely doesn’t look as strong as a Pit Bull and feels unsafe without the spool adapters. Is it easy to lift a heavy bike on and off a pit bull stand by oneself ?
Yes the Pit Bull will be more stable with a big bike like the ZRX1200. If your bike can be fitted with spools that is the best option so you should install them on the bike. Pit Bull has a stand specifically designed for the ZRX, here is a link to it on our site: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/pit-bull-hayabusa-zx-14r-and-zrx-rear-stand/
Built in the US is not a global stamp of quality. Both Pit Bull and Woodcraft produce quality products here in the US. As for cars I drive GM products (spent most of my former career in a Cadillac dealer as a tech) and have some issues for sure but overall completely satisfied. Over the years I have worked on nearly every make and model vehicle, they all have their issues IMO. - Brian Van
Zero compensation for this or any other Pit Bull related video we have done over the years. Bottom line is their products are the benchmark in our industry. Anyone who owns one knows this to be accurate. - Van
@@chauboii yet my 50 dollar stand has never failed for years. LOL just don't be a fucking asshole with ur bike when it's on a stand. Mind you my bike weighs barely 400 lbs
@@bobfrankfurt9449 Well I own a pitbull stand and this thing will never fail. Iwoudn't trust my $19,000 BMW to a $50 stand. If you can afford quality then why wouldn't you buy it.
@@TheBeagleBrigade I get it, but like I said I don't play around much with the bike when it's on the stand. It holds it perfectly fine being a smaller bike (2019 MT-09). I would also recommend getting the Pitbull IF you can afford it. Some can't.
It's something I've never had to worry about. Back in the day when my 600 lb. '88 Katana 1100 was made most bikes came with center stands that worked amazingly well. 32 years and 114,000 km later mine's sitting in the parking lot on the center stand right now. I understand manufacturers want to make the bikes light and all but at 68 years old I don't think I could put a bike on a stand alone stand like that, ... at least not without someone else holding the bike straight. I've watched one vlogger do it by himself with old GSXR 1100's though so I guess it can be done.
We are pretty race track focused here at STG. These type of stands shown in this video are for track use or riders who like to do their own service on sportbikes that do not have a center stand. - Van
Just got my Pit Bull rear stand. I'm using it for a Ducati Monster 821. I can tell you it works great. The bike feels super secure, and the stand feels really heavy duty and well built. Really easy to use, no effort and the removable handle is great for my little space in the garage. I will add though, Pit Bull says "Do not sit on the motorcycle while motorcycle is supported by the stand." I don't know, if I can sit on my motorcycle with just the kickstand I'm sure the rear stand can support the bike's weight plus my 180lbs? I'm really hoping for $265 CDN it lasts a long time!
Every weekend there are thousands of riders all over the country sitting on their bikes while they are supported by a Pit Bull stand. IMO (I am not speaking for Pit Bull) the sticker is a cover your ass statement to insulate them from potential litigation stemming from the stupid shit some people do. Enjoy your stand, it will last forever. - Van

If you ride on the track you will need to sit on the bike when it is on the stands frequently. Notice that we use a race bike in this video, no lights etc... This video is full of good information with a little humor sprinkled on top. This video is most relevant for sport riders that are already on the track or intend to do so in the future. I am a salesman that invests a ton of time and effort into helping the riders that shop at STG choose products they will be satisfied with. - Brian Van
Excellent excellent example of you get what you pay for. As you get older and get experience buying more and more kinds of products, you see this constantly being proven true.
We have all been conditioned to buy on price over the years. This works for some items but a motorcycle stand needs to be better quality IMO. Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave the comment. - Brian Van
Sportbike Track Gear Thanks for the informative video because as a new rider, had I not come across this video, I could have been in the same situation buying a set of those shit stands as I see other TH-camrs promoting.
While I am sure some of the motovloggers do a great job many of them have not had the opportunity to use as many different products as I have. Buy a Pit Bull or the Woodcraft stand from jump and you will never need to buy another. - Brian Van
So I got a trackside rear and front stand, and well the rear stand works but I cannot for the life of me get the front stand to work, every time I try it the wheel slips off when lifting. I think its because the right side of the stand wasn't level with the left side... so Im gonna go return it and get a pit bull front stand...
I usually love your build videos but this one is over the top I've been racing or 12 years now have many many stands of many brands and they all work fine yes my pitbull and woodcraft stands are top quality and love them but I have 100$ stands just as good and just as well made. If you use them as intended they will never fail if you bend them abuse them yeah they will ALL break it all comes out to how much abuse you send their way. Like I said I usually like what you do but this video is pushing the limits of product promotion to the point of ridicule. The fact that you took time and attacking people giving their own opinions on the subject matter in the comment section makes you look a bit sour and doesn't look good from a potential costumer. Do you treat your costumers the same way when they have issues with a product sold by STG and they are not satisfied or has defaults? I'm sorry but you came out as "" I know what best and who cares what you think in the end I'm right your wrong and thats that "" Like I said I like what you guys do and the subject matter you put out but this one is a strike in my books these stands should have been promoted with a bias perspective from a shop that sell many different stands. This is only my opinion on what I have watched it doesn't define who you are and I'm not attacking your person nor your integrity in any way just a simple observation. Keep the good content coming Van!
This is not meant to be an attack on anyone. I did this to show there is a difference between the quality stands and the cheap ones. Most people will never have the opportunity to handle all of the different brands to experience the difference. When you shop stands on the internet there is a ton of misinformation out there from fake product reviews to pages comparing motorcycle stands created by and affiliate marketing firm that has never handled any of the products they write about. - Brian Van
So he likes only the good stuff...so what...its his business. It also helps to know if you buy from him...its good stuff. ALOT of companies do this. And if you think this is bad, look at his Ninja 400 King Of Exhaust video. Used car sales shit there. But atleast you know your getting good stuff from his store.
I bought the Pit Bull front and rear stands after watching this video. I never knew there was such a difference in quality. These stands are amazingly solid! Thank you!!!
I bought a pit bull rear stand about 7 years ago and this thing is bomb proof. Without question my stand will last a lifetime. Pit bull was a bit more cost up front by the piece of mind is worth it.
I have a full set (rear, front, and triple clamp lift) of T-Rex Racing stands that I bought and have used for EIGHTEEN YEARS! I bought it from them when they used to only sell on ebay. Never had a problem with them.
I would order the front stand now and wait. If we don't have it here now it will be a week or so. Worth the wait, especially if you have the Pit Bull rear. - Van
I would LOVE to have a pitbull OR a woodcraft but im just a poor ass so couldnt afford it. I wish you would of done a bargain budget option bc i guarantee you my t-rex stand would fit that option, an extremely good stand for 2nd best and only 60 something dollars. (Think they raised there prices now though)
I just checked their web site. The Pitbull/Woodcraft are less than $150, your bike probably costs thousands of dollars. The difference between the two pricewise is less than $90 bucks! Why would you risk it? That's probably less than the average one month cable OR cell phone bill.
CorkKNIFE you CAN NOT bend my stand like those did, the stand i bought is not low budget like that. Im not risking my bike at all, my bike cost 6gs my 2 stands were like 120 something, so less than 1 pitbull which was over 150 in the options I'd want. No risk here at all as a T-rex stand is made of thick gauge metal just like a pitbull, just not all the features. I was just offering a second bargain budget option for people who dont wanna pay over 150 dollars for some basic metal welded up.
Tyler Dirden I'm just saying it's doable, mate. Back in the day I've purchased brand new pitbull for $150...right now I have 4, which cost me in total $200... if I had silver spoon in my moth it would be a different story, but with wife, kid and bills to pay I'm cool with used stuff...works just as good
For anyone wondering, I've climbed all over my bike with Pit Bull stands and it didn't move an inch! To my roommate Matt- sorry about your junk stand dawg
I did not realize before that if a motorcycle fell from a high-priced stand would not be damaged. And motorcycles do not like cheap stands, and love falling from them...!!this is very important information we learned from you🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
If you try to lift your kick ass bike with a set of cheap stands you better be ready to catch it when it jumps off! If you have a nice bike, buy a nice set of stands. - Van
Honestly, I've had my harbor freight stand for a good 3 years and have yet to have a problem with it. Then again my bike doesn't have arms to bend it in half....
Nothing he said was practical....
Nigel Lane LOL i was thinking the same thing!! 🤣

You think you are a tough guy. Nobody wears a shirt like that except a failed thug like yourself.
Are you aware of his background?
And good vid SPTG!! nike12000 it’s well done though, it’s how sport bike track gear works, they only sell it if they believe in the product. Also if you respect welds or the folks who do it for a living, it well worth knowing the difference. I’m sure there are folks or younger kids out there who don’t know what to look for or didn’t know the quality difference until they saw this.
Ah, the internet where name calling ensues after discussing welds. I apologize that I appreciate sportbiketrackgear and their sales philosophy. Cheers
Jordan Dunham I was replying to the guy who trolled the post not you. We agree.
My mistake! Thank you for the clarification
It's not like he's selling snake oil or testosterone pills. Pitbull is legit and well respected for a reason.
I have a trackside stand but I'm switching to Pitbull because it's American made and that gold stand looks good up under that ZX10R
I like the way you think. - Van
- Brian Van
@@sportbiketrackgear it takes a special kind of person to sit and wobble around on a stand lol

"I love to support American Companys". Standing in front of Japans finest. Lol kiddding
The Japanese make one hell of a great bike for sure. Pit Bull and Woodcraft both produce some of the finest products in our industry. This is more about investing in a quality product than it is supporting a US company. If the imported stands were better I would not hesitate to say that.
Buy a quality stand right out of the gate and you will never need to replace it. - Van
Chinese buy, copy, build cheap so idiots grab it and smile.

Pit Bull or Woodcraft.. can't go wrong with either! Best stands out there, period.

- Van

I have one of those Track Side stands, and it's not all bad. It works great for storing or wrenching on my superlight sport bikes (Cagiva Mito, Aprilia RS125, Suzuki RG125) but I wouldn't use it to hold up any of my big bikes. Pitbull all the way.
I made my own! It is nice when you have friends with a welder and bender.
Trackside works fine no bike of mine has fallen over
Im a big fan of stg.
Same. No issues with trackside rear stand and it's a good value at $60, especially if you move/sell later

First time watching this guys video and last , to negative and he’s trying to push product so hard
Sal Ruiz I’m just saying I’m not putting a 30k bike on a 60 stand. Just for 90 more it’s not breaking the bank
Brotha hes being honest. Honesty is the best policy when it comes to a 17000$ bike on stand you want that shit to last and not fall and scrape.
This is the first time I’m watching this guy’s videos...and definitely not the last.
Between the skateboarding shoes, affliction jeans, and button-splitting small shirt, I bet this guy is a real hoot to hangout with...
Shirt fits a little tighter in the winter man. I wear what I want to wear and have no concern for what other people have to say about it. - Van
I want to see this guys gym workout complete animal.
Haha so good! Really appreciate you guys.
Bri Guy kul
I learned my lesson with Harbor Freight stands. lol However, I'm too cheap for Pitbull stands, but the ones I have now are great, have had them for years.
Hey cycle cruza love you
Godless commie!
Great review and opinions! Do you ha e a video putting on the rear stand?
Thanks for watching, here is a link to the Pit Bull rear stand video: th-cam.com/video/EJ3fO_xEb2s/w-d-xo.html - Van
Alright, I need more videos of you breaking cheap motorcycle accessories and tools lol.
No problem, stay tuned more to come for sure. - Van
This video helped confirm my decision to purchase a pitbull stand. Thanks guys
Truthfully Low cost low quality . Build in U.S does not mean good quality , American cars 💩
Watch this video of the $89 dollar Harbor Freight jack, the one that allows front and rear suspension work - th-cam.com/video/2PPgWa4BcjU/w-d-xo.html
- Brian Van
YOU WERE A TECH AND NOT A CAR SALESMAN?.........ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT BRIAN?
You're my new favorite person! - Van
2016 mustang loving it! American all the way! And I'm from the Caribbean
Pitbull must have paid you well man. Lol
Zero compensation for this or any other Pit Bull related video we have done over the years. Bottom line is their products are the benchmark in our industry. Anyone who owns one knows this to be accurate. - Van
Yeah, even if he is being compensated the info is accurate
- Van
the only stand i have is pitbull .....and i was sold on it last year when you mad a vid on how to replace the rear breaks on your r1. and you had that attachment the helps you lift the tire while its in the stand .....i needed that in my life haha....great vid ...and yiu guys have some of the best customer service....just meed to know how to use my points from the site....lol
Thanks for watching and the orders! Odds are if you are having trouble getting the points applied you are using PayPal Express or Amazon Pay from the "Cart" page and not clicking the "Proceed To Checkout" button. If you make payment directly from the cart the STG Cash does not get applied. Try that and if you have any further issues please email me directly at service@sportbiketrackgear.com - Brian Van
Sportbike Track Gear aww ok well darn it i used paypal.....
Jblizz510 You can use PayPal and get the rewards all you need to do is go to the checkout page.
That way usually works for me. At times I do have to back out and re-log in to get it to show up there, but I've never had it completely fail to show up for me.
Sportbike Track Gear thank you sir....ill have to see what i may be not doing right lol.....x-mas is coming and i want somthing for my 2016 r1....great customer service even on youtube.....much love BV can wait to ride with yall one day ....everyone at STG is awsome
Salesman, why would you sit on a stand anyway🤷🏾♂️. I like some of your videos but you are compromising some of your integrity by making this one
- Brian Van
Sportbike Track Gear that does seem reasonable
I mean lets be real here, Van has arms big enough to tear a GSX-R into two pieces.
I'm sorry but you came out as "" I know what best and who cares what you think in the end I'm right your wrong and thats that ""
Like I said I like what you guys do and the subject matter you put out but this one is a strike in my books these stands should have been promoted with a bias perspective from a shop that sell many different stands.
You are welcome! - Van
Making motorcycle stands great again!
Great, informative video, with an odd flex or two on the side. 10/10 My bike is glad I watched this
Thanks for watching! - Van
I bought a pit bull rear stand about 7 years ago and this thing is bomb proof. Without question my stand will last a lifetime. Pit bull was a bit more cost up front by the piece of mind is worth it.
Watching this video as my Triump sits on that Trackside stand in the garage haha...great. Hope I can sleep...
I have the trackside rear stand. No issues at all. My bikes are light though, Grom and Z400
I love my Bursig Stands=)
Hey thanks for the gym ideas man, now I know I can use my china stand for chest flyes and single arm rows, haha.
Can't think of a better use for them. - Van
I have a full set (rear, front, and triple clamp lift) of T-Rex Racing stands that I bought and have used for EIGHTEEN YEARS! I bought it from them when they used to only sell on ebay. Never had a problem with them.
I have heard they are pretty good. This is one of the few brands I have not used personally. - Van
I have a pitbull rear. The pitbull front triple stands were sold out. Is T Rex an alright brand? Thanks in advance.
Go on craigslist mate....I've never paid over $50 for any ANY pitibull stand I owned....and I had/have quite a few
How 2 Desmo ya true if your willing to wait but in my town i saw one in a year.
Tyler Dirden I'm just saying it's doable, mate. Back in the day I've purchased brand new pitbull for $150...right now I have 4, which cost me in total $200... if I had silver spoon in my moth it would be a different story, but with wife, kid and bills to pay I'm cool with used stuff...works just as good
my $50K Ducati Speciale only sits on a Pitbull stand!
The only stand a bike like that should ever sit on! - Van
For anyone wondering, I've climbed all over my bike with Pit Bull stands and it didn't move an inch!
To my roommate Matt- sorry about your junk stand dawg
Thanks for the stands Matt! Enjoy the replacement I sent home with Jimmy. - Brian Van
The best thing about this channel is you show the real truth that riders value.
Appreciate you! - Van
- Van
