Its cool hopping up these engines, my engine accepted the metal gasket that came with the kit. It tops out at about 72MPH, It can be seen out running a 150 spec track bike on a episode on my channel "MiniBikeAction". Now its getting a V2 race head witch should let the engine rev to 11,000 RPM.
Hello I had a few questions about grom clones. I have a Orion 150cc fully modded but it is a 4 speed. I use this bike for my street riding but it is a street legal pit bike. I can get to 65 to 70 plus mph but the bike is geared to high and is always over reving since it is only a 4 speed. So I have been thinking of getting a Grom because I notice a lot of videos of Grom's on the highway. I was wondering how does a Grom clone stack up to a Honda Grom as far as top speed gearing? Are they both geared the same or is the Honda Grom geared higher?
But yeah I was struggling big time. My piston didn’t hit but I definitely think you should use the 57mm factory style V2 gasket. You’ll lose some compression and gain some longevity. I’m waiting on mine in the mail now. Sad missing the riding season :( Those shim gaskets they include with the kit totally blow. If they wanted to do it right they’d include a thin copper gasket. Those are reusable.
I’m having issues with the thin metal gasket they gave me blowing out. First it leaked by the oring but that was my fault I didn’t realize you didn’t need one there and now it’s blowing out at throttle blips from near the plug side. Should I switch to the thicker gasket? I thought it was strange they told me to coat my HG with hondabond which specifically says don’t use with solid gaskets.
I have been looking at getting the 141 kit. Is it a good idea to do just the cam? Or get the valve springs as well ? I have a 2021 Vader. I heard the stock valve springs are actually pretty big. Any and all info would be great. And if i get the 141 kit. Should i just get the thicker gasket immediately to be safe?
Yes. I did the cam. The big gaskets. The springs. Just to be safe. And take your time. If you never took these engines apart. Do you research. I’ve taken 3 apart and they all different on some things.
@@freddieRODZ ya right now my motor is leaking oil at the head gasket. It leaks down by the egr pipe block off. Only 400 miles on my bike. So either i replace the gasket. Or just put a big bore kit and do all the other work while the motor is apart.
Bro your engine has a 69mm tall cylinder, it says right in the add that you must have a 78mm tall cylinder for the kit to work, the Tbolt parts will not work on your engine sorry man
@@stephenwilkins9858 I returned it. When I ordered it I didn’t realize the Vader and hellcat had different height cylinders. This kit will not work on a hellcat.
Question from another video…. The motor mount brace you installed on the bottom… Do you know if it would work on a Tao Hellcat? Also any chance your boy would want to do another I will pay him… I live in Oviedo so not to far away
I just made it work on mine. But it should be the same. Look under your bike and see how it looks. Not sure. I can ask to see if he could that was his work welder he probably took to his company already.
Al Salaam The real trick to making that little bike move is putting the Amazon-Yx140cc w/z40 cam, port the head, add mikuni 28mm flatslide carb, 16tooth sprocket NOT 17 for more torque!!!
I know it's been over a year ago when you guys did the BBK but did you have to put a bigger Cylinder Head on it also so it wouldn't make valve Cylinder contact...✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾
No I used the same valve head. For my case it was making contact because of timing. Once I figured out the timing it was fine. I did also use a “thicker gasket”. That helped a little. So far so good running smooth.
@freddieRODZ for some reason mine is Making contact. I had it top dead center and everything . My head isn't the original head that came on the bike so I'm thinking that one doesn't line up good with the 141 so I ordered the YX140 Head which is actually being delivered today, so I'm a see if that one works
@@freddieRODZ thank you! Did the kit come with everything you need? And would my NIBBI carb pe26 still fit in it like it did with the OEM 125? Thank you!
I put the same parts on my champion 125 and had to run the thicker head gasket also because the piston was just barely hitting the head at Tdc

Nice. Yea. That’s the next step. Been looking a lot at your videos prior to these upgrades. So thank you for the information.
Cool
Do you have a part # for the head
your engine will not last long the engine is not meant to be revved at 11k

Always measure piston to valve clearance before starting engine
🤣
Check out this little bike

i loved the vid my g, imma get my ass a grom clone now, cant wait to get on and jus go anywhere. anyways have a great day n keep up the great work!
What valve springs did you use? Also what head gasket? I’m gonna do mine soon. Also what’s the torque on the head bolts. Thanks in advance.

OOOFFF…sounds mean. Nice work Freddie!!!
So other than the gasket, you hat to but a sprocket with one less tooth?
Yes. Just a little off and it’s been solid ever since. But remember every engine is different. So just check yours when you doing it.
@@freddieRODZ thanks
What big bore kit did you look up to be able to find one to fit the engine
The one from tboltusa. Links are in the description
With a stroke of 54mm and a bore of 57mm the total cc is 137.8.
What is the part number for the gasket and spring kit?
Can you put the 141big bore kit on without the racing cam and still get more power
Not sure
When installing the cam did you have to re adjust ur valves
Yes. It’s a different lift

Yes it’s all the same engines
What side engine cover are those
Which cover?
What exhaust are you using? Did you have to hear it to fit it?
It’s all in the links on these videos.
