I am just going to put this here in case it's useful to a random rider. I was also in a collision and am mostly ok. It was not my fault but I gained 2 main lessons. First is the mantra "Brake. Accept.(Fixate to) escape." I realized that my brain was stuck on trying to optimize braking when I may have been able to swerve. Braking was correct, but I needed to accept it wasn't enough and move on to fixate on my escape path to swerve. 2nd lesson was to keep to the right lane position 1. This is because people can turn left from behind another car. The right lane makes it easier to see them, and starts you off with more space if you need to swerve further to your right. People turning right are generally easier to see and anticipate since very rarely can they turn right out of order like those turning left. Position 1 still gives you some space to evade though. My collision was much slower, like at most 1/3 the speed maybe and I had all the gear short of full race leathers. Still was difficult to get out of bed and even walk for the first 2 days or so. Could not even play video games(enjoyably) because my hand was swolen and pinky had been broken. That was with riding gloves. I never considered even riding without helmet or gloves before the collision,it's even more insane to me after. Someone turned left in front of me from behind the lead car because they didn't want to wait. I was hurled from the bike, but my gear would have protected me completely EXCEPT I landed on the ground(after slamming into the hood or roof of the car) suboptimally and that is where I got the injuries. You really want gear that will absorb and deflect impact if you land on or near your head or on your butt. Bennets Bike Social did an airbag round up of testing and the top picks do this. The Alpinestars Techair 7 with it's long back protector is probably also good.
You can also git gud at driving 1000hp racecars and supras on racetracks in physics simulators and learning Judo/wrestling for the 'fall damage mitigation' skill.
@deathtoke6640 I don't think judo falls are really applicable. It would be like getting thrown 10 feet in the air and 30 feet away AFTER a prime Mike Tyson boxed you in the head. You lose all orientation with the ground. If you can see the ground or fall in such a way as you maintain orientation then maybe, but the gear will probably save you well enough. There really isn't anything like it. I never lost consciousness and all I could tell was I was flying through the air and when I landed it took me by surprise.
@@justcommenting4981 Ur dumb, Connor McGregor got smoked by a car while riding his bicycle and he said himself that Judo is for winners, not losers like you.
Saw a new guy crash in front of me this summer who later that night got his arm amputated. He crashed because he didn’t shoulder check mid curve, and ran into my friend. He wiped out and ripped a guard rail with gear on. Highly recommend going to the track, you’ll learn a lot that will make you much safer on the street. And most importantly take care of your mental health.
Worst and saddest part to me is, if I saw correctly from the video he put in, he had no gear on when he was lying on the ground. Maybe, maybe not, gear could have saved his body, maybe even his arm.
@@oceyho Correct, I was not wearing anything more than just a helmet and gloves. There's no guarantee that gear would have saved my arm because it was a blunt-force impact. But I should still have worn gear
Brother, i have no clue why you got recommended, but you are so real and likeable! Very sorry for what happened to you but i love your energy and attitude. May you recover soon. Best of wishes :)
One of my childhood friends got a sport bike and was riding at excessive speeds. He hit a bump in the road at high speeds and lost control of the bike. He slid into the guard rail posts off the side of the road and they tore off two of his legs, one arm, and a significant portion of his other arm. He survived because a lady that saw it happen used her clothing to put tourniquets on him. He has 3 prosthetics now and had to live in a assisted living facility for awhile. Be careful everyone. Accidents can happen, and just in general, tomorrow is never promised. (Psalm 103:15-16, James 4:13-17, 2 Peter 3:1-18, John 14:6, John 11:25-26) Seek the Lord while He may be found. Read the Bible. May Jesus bless you.
Had my car stolen the other day. A rather common, easily replaceable car. I don’t use it too often, but when I do, it makes my life a bit easier. Or, more comfortable. I’ve been dragging around, all sad about the car being stolen. Then, I come across your video. Perspective is a mofo. I wish you the best, young man. I’ll be thinking of you for some time.
I have to tell you that JESUS CHRIST IS GOD, FATHER is GOD, SON( WHO IS JESUS CHRIST) IS GOD, HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD, please asks JESUS CHRIST to show himself to you, and you will see his works, not with your eyes as in see him and THE FATHER, but you will see the fruit of THE HOLY SPIRIT, and his works on your life, they may not prosper you but you will see that JESUS CHRIST IS GOD, through reading the gospels in the Bible, seeing historic facts, and finds, that obviously point to JESUS CHRIST BEING GOD, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST, NOT DENYING THE FATHER, NEITHER THE SON,NEITHER THE HOLY SPIRIT, AMEN!!!
Dude I love the grom, and the fact that you're on two wheels and adapting after your accident is admirable. You're clearly a mentally strong person, stay that way.
Adapting is admirable? If he goes down again, which is highly likely with the uneven weight balance, then there’s only one arm left to absorb the impact. Show me one emergency room physician who thinks it’s a good idea to keep riding.

Someone I rode sport bikes with got into a bad accident the day he broke up with his girlfriend. He was going way over 100mph and rear ended a car on the highway. The bike split in half and caught on fire. He was on life support for a month and the family decided to pull the plug. It’s just not worth riding if your mind isn’t in a good place. Not only did he end his life at 22 but he traumatized the other driver, family and friends for life. Stay strong man and thank God everyday you’re still alive!

dude, like many others I have no clue how your video landed on my dash, but I'm really glad it did.Massive respect for putting this out into the world & sharing your experience with us. I'm so glad you're still around & not giving up on riding after everything you've been through is truly aspirational! keep on being strong
As a dad, husband, and rider myself this a big fear of mine. I appreciate your transparency and speaking on your accident. It’s a good reminder that a quick ride can change your life or even take it. I’m glad to see you are getting back to a new normal and that you’re still here with us!

hey bro, I'm so sorry you've had to go through this. 3 months ago i also had an accident which resulted in a BPI injury on my left arm (avulsions c7,c8,t1 and breaks c5,c6), as well as a broken femur, radius and ulnar, and most bones in my left hand. i know how tough it is to experience a dead arm. The recovery is lonely and days can feel like weeks. It can feel like a nightmare you wish you could wake up from, like your trapped. none the less its honestly amazing to see you up and well, and somehow motivated enough to ride again and make content!! I've been sitting at home depressed for weeks now after rehab and this is the most inspiring video I've come across, si thank you for having the balls to put yourself out there for the bike community to see. keep up the good work mate, life might've changed for us but it isnt over... love from Australia
Thanks for sharing your experience. It’s tough, but you’ll learn more about how strong you actually are, through the recovery process. Wishing you the quickest and smoothest recovery
I totally understand that you’re hesitant to post the crash video, and I completely respect your feelings about it. However, I truly believe that sharing it could be incredibly helpful for both new and experienced riders. Breaking down the video and the experience could highlight just how dangerous riding can be, and provide others with valuable insights that might help them avoid similar situations in the future. It’s also a powerful reminder that it’s never a good idea to ride when you’re angry, as emotions can cloud judgment and lead to risky decisions. I hope you know that the intention behind sharing it is rooted in care and a desire to support the community. Ultimately, the decision is yours, and I’ll respect whatever you choose.
This is the first video I’m seeing of yours. I’m happy you’re doing well. I’m sorry about your accident and I hope that your life gets better from here on out.
The algorithm brought me here, and this is my first time seeing your channel. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I clicked, but I’m so glad I did. Your attitude and honest candidness are deeply inspirational and a poignant reminder of the risks and realities we all face when we choose to ride. I’m truly sorry for the loss you’ve experienced, but it’s incredible to see how you’ve turned it into motivation to embrace the beauty and fleeting nature of life. Thank you for sharing your journey, I'm wishing you strength, continued recovery, and many fulfilling rides ahead!
I just started riding about a year and a half ago, went from a Grom up to a Speed Twin. I absolutely love the thrill of the ride and being able to clear my head but I can't help but always be worried and have my head on a swivel. Your chat about not getting on the bike or in a car after you have a bad day emotionally is peak advice. Credit goes to you for being brave and honest when making this video. Also shoutout to you for getting back on a bike even after the injury.
I gotta say man I was in a horrible accident as well, dam near had to have my left arm amputated. Doc said I almost bled to death twice (needed four bags of blood) out of my left arm and had a total of 3 surgeries, had more broken bones and also popped my bladder ect. Mad respect brother till this day we are both alive n ridin, keep your head up
This is actually scary. I had a dream just a couple of nights ago where I lost my arm somehow and could no longer ride my motorcycle. Anyway, it's absolutely awesome that you didn't let the accident stop you from riding. Some people will call you stupid for doing that, but in reality, that's dedication.
I crashed into a barrier on a windy road here in Australia in September 2021. Ended up breaking my foot in 3 places and ruptured disc between C6 and C7 that required surgery to fuse as there was pressure on the nerves which was making my left arm numb. I was laid up for months and months and was going through physical therapy as well. I will attest the depression is no joke and I felt robbed of the person I was before my accident and how invincible, fit, and capable my body was. You are a stronger person than me brother. People do not realise there are things that can happen to you that legitimately make you want to die and there were times after my injury I would imagine walking into the ocean and just letting it take me. I never had a concrete plan to do it but if I died I would have been okay with it if that makes sense. My advice to anyone else going through this is that when you die there are no more possibilities, that's just the end of the line and your time on this planet. If you live, once you overcome the depression there are always going to be possibilities even if you lose a limb or use of your legs and so on, you will still get to experience life even if you don't like the way your life is compared to others, SOMETHING is better than eternal NOTHING.
I'm sorry to hear this man... but thank you for sharing. Like you said, I also felt robbed of what I was capable of before the accident. I also felt robbed of my biking journey. The depression that comes with severe injuries like ours is no joke. I'm glad you're still here brother. Thank you for taking the time to share and comment
I wish this on no one, not even my worst enemy. Losing an arm whilst riding is like losing an eye in archery, it ruins you psychically and mentally. Crashing in it of itself is a terrible feeling, ruining your fancy bike and injuring yourself. But losing a limb is a whole nother thing, also having to deal with the law whilst coping with the fact that you lost an arm has got to be a terrible feeling, the entire biker community is with you man. We love you and so does your family, im glad you got youself back up on your feet and i wish the best for you. Youre still with us, thats what matters.
hey man, i seriously hope you're okay. Having a crash like this is a very difficult task. and hats off to you. having a breakup can cause alot of emotions, but i hope you're okay, everyone loves you and everyone cares for you just take time to yourself and ride safe. riding with one arm, CANNOT be easy. everyone is so proud of you
As a longtime motorcycle rider I have lost a few rider friends of mine due to speeding. I have always been a very safe rider & never speed because speed kills. My question for you is: was this the first time that you were driving in the triple digits or was speeding something you did or a regular basis? I’m glad that you made it through the accident & are sharing your story so that people will learn & understand that speeding can ruin your life. Sending you healing prayers 🙏🇨🇦♥️ from Toronto Canada. Keep riding safe. 15:38
Thanks for the question! I crashed on a road that I was extremely familiar with (I take it to and from school every day). It's an industrial road that stretches for a while so I liked to have fun on that road
I’m a gamer, I’m an athlete, and I’m a person who has lived with my arms my whole life, my uncle lost his hand I’ve seen it first hand and I’ll say ya‘ll are stronger than me. Takes serious mental fortitude to keep going after change like that.
On a positive note, unlike my uncle you retained your hand and arm physically. That is hope that years down the line as technology advances you may see a day where you’re arm works again. They told my uncle one day he could maybe even grow a new hand. Keep hope stay positive!
I was not expecting a face reveal im so blessed to see you actually standing I'll admit it i got emotional did you ever thought you would ever ride again after everything
I wasn't expecting to do it tbh, it just felt more personal to share my story with you guys without the helmet on. A chance to be vulnerable, if you will
You're discussing an incredibly serious and sensitive topic, but your video is insanely entertaining and funny. Being that this is the first video I've come across of yours, I'm loving it. I've subscribed. Can't wait to see where your path brings you, hopefully more videos!
I'm really sorry this happened to you man. I'm glad that you've recovered and that you're still out there riding. I wish you all the best man. You're a strong, strong person.
Mad respect dude. As someone who has also had a life changing injury from a motorbike accident, its very difficult. Yours impacts your life more then mine does however immense respect for you talking about it on video. Your doing great keep it up!
Every gear head can relate to hearing a motor 0:28 and everything stops so you can listen and enjoy. After, we can return to the regular schedule programming 😂
Hey there young man, I think you're more than allowed to call the feeling you had depression. Transient or situational depression is a legitimate experience. Labeling it is a personal choice, but it can be an important part of moving on. You seem like a strong soul, and I hope you have a long life ahead of you. Carry this lesson with you, let it be a touchstone, not a weight that drags you down. And if you're going to continue riding, get yourself some gear, ride safe, and remember that slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. Kia kaha.
found this while surfing tonight. one month in the hospital? you were really messed up....besides your arm...so hard to see you laying in the street like that but, despite your accident, you are a brave young man and started off by acknowledging that you are alive (could have been worse). it is totally understandable that you would be "the D word" and emotionally hurting. Thanks for acknowledging that as well to give others hope. And yes, helmets save lives. Glad you are still here. Keep talking. Keep telling your story. It might help others by understanding that life can change in the blink of an eye. You're a living testimony that. Be glad you have post-traumatic amnesia. Best not to remember even though you've seen the video. Thanks for the uplifting talk man! Happy New Year!
I hope you have an amazing recovery. Best of luck to you man I cant imagine the amount emotional/physical and trauma you and your body has gone through we love you. ❤❤❤
Video randomly popped up on my feed and I could not pass it by with the title of yours. First of all, I cannot imagine the physical and mental pain you had go through to be at peace with yourself (at least, based on the video, you seemed to have overcame the accident). I am very glad that you are okay and is able to stay with your friends and families over the holidays. I am just a stranger on the internet, but I am very happy to see you doing well and still riding :)
It’s been a long journey so far but I don’t wanna live in a sad and depressed state for the rest of my life so I gotta choose to be happy you know? I appreciate the comment!
My lil brother got hit on his scooter in FL it was a hit and run too and lost the use of his right but now he is living his dream sailing all over the world as a 1 armed captain. he said this is not gonna stop me. Glad to hear your doing good.
man I started following you a few months before the accident and since then it's just been like weird idk how to explain it, but I've wondered what your mental battle was throughout the whole thing. This is because i had fractured my finger (in april) and didn't know if i was gonna lose it (by no means am i saying its worse than your accident) but I did have a mental battle with myself trying not to fall in that hole, and a few months after (in oct) needing a surgery in my knee not making it easier. seeing your ig updates here and there just really put things in perspective like "if he's getting through it with such a big accident why can't I." and i just wanna say thank you for sticking it out. I hope you keep on winning all your battles and thank you for sharing your experience.
Yeah, it's been mentally very tough. I was a bit suicidal at one point, but it's my faith that kept me from falling into that "hole," as you mentioned. Every injury has its own level of effect on a person, so I get what you're saying. Thanks for following and staying updated!
Never heard of you until you popped up on my YT feed today. I am just very thankful that you have your faith to help you go through this. Am I right in assuming you believe in Jesus Christ?
Dang man, I hate seeing stuff like this happen to people. Glad you’re still here brother. You definitely had an angel watching over you. Sending prayers your way. 🙏🏻
Couldn't have been easy at all man...I commend your strength throughout the recovery and abilty to turn this educational. I couldn't walk for over a week due to a near 3rd degree exhaust burn from my DRZ and was having anxiety and panic attacks from the pain. Meanwhile you, in your situation, careful about using the d word 😅 Don't ever be afraid to talk about that stuff with someone if you need to man 💪 ride safe!!
I don’t know why TH-cam recommended this video to me before my touring tomorrow. You are a strong person, I wish you smooth sailing from here on. Best wishes from Japan.
A month ago I got hit and run by a Chevy Silverado that ran a stop sign I broke 5 bones in my arm and wrist and I can’t imagine how you’re feeling I barely wanted to live when I realized how long it was going to take to get limited functionality back. I hope someday your arm works again but until then ride safe brother and keep her upright.
I’m sorry to hear this, friend. Every injury carries its difficulties and hardship so don’t undermine your own experience. I’m glad you’re ok, and thank you
I just got shoulder surgery and have been looking at my life differently since then and now this just put even more perspective on the 1 arm situation. Hearts out for you bro stay safe out there
Fellow bpi warrior here, first off you’re a trooper! Im proud of you for sharing, and Im glad ur still here with us. I aspire to get back on two one day, you help keep that dream alive. Cheers buddy 🦾
@nckgti7 Not at all. It was supposed to be a normal Sunday ride. Car pulls out in front of me, I was gonna pass him but he turned left. Bad timing so I hit driver side door, and went flying ( around 55mph). I broke my right leg, both right forearm bones, along with right arm c7, c8, t1 avulsion. I had my helmet & leathers on thankfully. Its a blessing to still be here 🙏🏼
Yo this crazy but I too had a really bad motorcycle accident and currently can't use my left arm and next month I'm going to have a surgery and might have some use. I literally have the same issue so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I'm sorry to hear what you went through. I know what you went through and all the nerve pain. I will update on your channel as things progress, keep those spirits up.
Dude, congratulations, really, it takes a lot of strength to talk about this level of trauma, you deserve all of our respect. The accident... it's done, past tense, good riddance, you came out alive and stronger than before. You are young and you have a whole life ahead of you, with joy, sorrow, happiness, carreer, wife, kids, everything. Enjoy your life, beat it, curse it, fight it, whatever you want, you earn your right to take the best out of it from now on.
Don’t know ya, never seen you before, but glad you’re alright and can still ride. God is always good to us and I appreciate you being transparent and sharing with everyone because I know this is a very vulnerable state to be in, injured and recovering from your trauma. Definitely adding to your dad lore as well as wisdom my guy. Be blessed and be safe. God’s not done. 🫡
Dude, I am sorry to hear what happened but glad that you're hear. I admire your sense of humour, accountability and where you seem to be at with it all. Wish you all the best. Also, your background view is incredible
Sorry to hear of your accident, not sure how I came across your story. Long time chill rider here. I took motorcycle safety decades ago because I wanted an easier way into my motorcycle endorsement. I had been on dirtbikes before and those skills definitely set me apart from others who took the class. I was glad I did the course, what stuck with me is avoiding riding if drinking (broke rule once, luckily nothing happened), tired (avoided doing that), mentally not right (I got into some crazy road rage here/there and luckily nothing happened and I would always ride better afterwards), be smart (I focused on riding smart rather than fast). I had kids and after a few years sold my bikes, 10 years later I got a bike and it surprised me how much skill I lost but smart riding never left because I applied it to driving a car for most part. After riding again for a couple years I still struggle with keeping it up. I use to ride all good weather days to work, it was a fantastic pick-me-up. I got an EV this spring and didn't commute on my bike once. I have wrecked my body twice (once dirtbike in college, once an e-bike 2019, high sided at 21mph in shorts/T-shirt) in my life and it just isn't worth it now that I am recovered and as strong as ever after surgery and a couple years of work, I don't want to step backwards again but forced myself to get back into it because I was itching to after a few rides on my brother's bike. I strongly suggest you find another passion, you only have one arm left, preserve the hell out of it. This is advice I picked up from someone who lost an eye in an accident. You can find enjoyment in something safer for your one good arm.
this is why the Nuralink is really going to help guys in your situation once it hits public you can get a prosthetic hopefully. glad you mad it man 2 wheels down brother.
Dude, sorry that you got hurt it's difficult seeing the trauma you went through and hearing your words as you come across as a really nice guy and all the mental problems that came after being so young. Hopefully the story gets out there and some positive will come from educating people that speed is the biggest issue young motorcyclists face and the dangers are evident. I can't offer anything of value other than saying well done for getting through all that and i'm glad you are still here and riding.
so happy you're alive and still riding, just found you through this video and you are honestly just such a strong person to tank a crash, accept and admit fault, lose the ability to use a whole ass limb and keep riding. you are an inspiration for riders all around and I can say that with confidence, take care of yourself and keep all hand and feet on the the ride
Idk where you’re filming from but holy crap it looks beautiful and so does the grom lol. I kinda wanna get one it looks fun. thank you for sharing your experience and being open. On to the next adventures🫡
I'm so sorry to hear this and hope you can mentally make a full recovery. I just want to say the fit goes hard though. The sling combined with the white shirt is actually a strong look. Take it easy brother
difficult thing to deal with especially at such a young age, i hope that you have the support you need around you. it sounds like you are doing well so far. but keep at it. its great that you got back on the bike. personally i'd go deeper into my other passion which is cars
I had a "life changing" crash also, and I similarly, can't remember much of that day. And honestly, I'm glad for that. Apparently, my front tire blow out going too fast around a corner in the mountains. You can imagine how that went ~ I'm guessing it's some super scary $hit, and I don't mind not having to relive it in my memories. I still ride motorcycles to \m/ "Where there is life, there is hope". And you have your whole life ahead of you. Best Wishes m8
Respect. My brother crashed hard too a few years ago, and it still is confusing to me why he (and you) don't ATGATT after something like that happening. Stay safe.
The algorithm got me to your video. Thank you for sharing your story, cannot imagine how hard it must have been to make this video. It seems to me you are still in the process of dealing with the trauma of the accident. I wish you all the best❤️
Never watched related content but youtube gave me this video. In any case im glad it did, you have a great sense of humor and seem very mature. Something like this must have been incredibly taxing physically and mentally and the fact that you can stand up, admit your faults, commit to moving on with life, and even crack a few jokes is beyond admirable. Keep it up homie.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad you're alive to share it. Its good that the arm is still there and you didn't have to amputate, you never know what new tech is gonna come out that can restore function.
*Dang I'm really sorry you went through all that! You're very brave to have made it through the accident physically, but also mentally and emotionally. It's been a rough journey for you! I wish you all the best with your healing! Please be safe out there with the fires going on too! It was very brave of you to share the details of the accident, including the bit of of footage and photos. You mentioned questions. So I was wondering if you still have your forearm and hand in the sling? Or have those been removed? I'm sure it has been difficult for you to learn to rely on your other arm. Thanks for sharing with us!*
You seem to have your head screwed on right, and can reason with your situation. This will help you become an even better version of yourself. Shame about your arm but I have no doubt you will bounce back with the attitude you entertain. Keep your head up brother!
hey man. extremely sorry for your loss. glad you're okay, alive and still kicking it! i have been through the exact scenario but by god's grace i walked away a few times before the fateful night. riding a motorcycle is all about your mentality, you have to be composed and very aware of your surroundings. to all the new riders, gear up, ride safe, dont push it too far and always remember, there is someone waiting for you back home, whoever that maybe. you are a legend mate, stay safe and keep riding!
I'm a racer and still in rehab. You are so brave to talk about yourself and admit, accept your situation. All riders face it, but some are still not realizing. Life is going on. Please stay safe bro.
Appreciate your honesty and admitting it was your fault. Hard lesson to learn but you will be a better rider, even with the injury. Glad to see you didn't give up riding man.
rethinking your decision is good, and i still recommend it to anyone who wants to give it a try. it's a lot of fun and can be super rewarding too. just be super safe and don't end up like me!
You have incredible mental strength and that is so important with these life changing events. I've suffered from a debilitating drug addiction for most of my life now, its brought me to my knee's many times now, but therapy was crucial for helping my through my depression. If you feel up to it I'd recommend trying therapy for yourself. Stay strong man
I am really glad you are still alive. This hit close to home since I almost lost one of my brothers from his bike accident 3 years ago. He didn’t lose any limbs but still recovering to this day. Sending lots of love and prayers your way. It’s a long journey but you are doing amazing!
No idea why this is in my recommended but I watched the whole thing. just wanted to say, despite having no notes you had general points and communicated them effectively and spoke clearly. glad to hear you are still with us.
I’m glad you made the decision to face reveal. It was personal and though I’ll probably never meet you, I’ll be thinking of you. Might have even got me to start praying again, and for you too haha brother I wish you all the best. Keep going strong and continue to be an inspiration. I know things will keep looking up for you. And man, sometimes I’m glad financial restraints didn’t let me get a bike, or I’d have died 100 times over from the emotional rage and pain I had when I was in my early 20s. Gotta be grateful for everything I suppose Stay safe brother, appreciate your message
Sorry you had to go through all of that man. It was hard listening to your story but definitely a good reality check. Hopefully your arm will gain some function but in the case it gets amputated, at least prosthetics look increasingly badass nowadays. Especially as technology gets better and better, prosthetics are becoming more viable. Speedy recovery, both physically and mentally.
Thankyou so much for making this video man, a few of my friends have started riding bigger bikes and the idea of them coming off at high speeds terrifies me I can't lie. I think you'll be surprised how many people this video will resonate with and encourage them to slow down and take every measure possible to protect themselves from having a bad crash. Best of luck with your continued recovery bro
God bless you my brother for sharing this message and your story. Being alive is the greatest blessing of all. I’m sure your situation is very difficult but I pray you get through it all and come out stronger on the other side. Stay positive bro. God bless 🙏🏻
Dude, to have gone through what you have, and to still be riding a bike, being able to make this video and tell the world…. you are so much stronger than you realise you are. Your still alive and are functioning well, your riding and finishing school, I have nothing but respect for you especially because you have taken ownership of your own mistake. To do that takes the heart, mind and soul of a real man, the fact that you display that, and at your age should make you and your family so proud. The changes will be hard to accept and hard to get used to, but I can assure you that over time it will become the new norm, never give up, what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger. I wish you the best of luck dude.
Jesus Christ loves you so much and died for your sins✝️!
Damn THANKS for the lessons
As a rider myself this is my biggest fear, as bad as the injuries were whats most important is that you're still alive 🙏
Agreed, I'm very blessed
Saw a new guy crash in front of me this summer who later that night got his arm amputated. He crashed because he didn’t shoulder check mid curve, and ran into my friend. He wiped out and ripped a guard rail with gear on. Highly recommend going to the track, you’ll learn a lot that will make you much safer on the street. And most importantly take care of your mental health.
Worst and saddest part to me is, if I saw correctly from the video he put in, he had no gear on when he was lying on the ground. Maybe, maybe not, gear could have saved his body, maybe even his arm.
For me, actually no. Depends on how Fed I would be.
@@oceyho Correct, I was not wearing anything more than just a helmet and gloves. There's no guarantee that gear would have saved my arm because it was a blunt-force impact. But I should still have worn gear
I have immense respect for you admitting to being at fault.
My step 1 for moving on and learning
@@nckgti7 for sure.. took me several years to fully accept fault and to be at peace with my fuck up.

Brother, i have no clue why you got recommended, but you are so real and likeable! Very sorry for what happened to you but i love your energy and attitude. May you recover soon. Best of wishes :)
Hey! Thanks for commenting!
Good point, @nckgti7 you seem naturally telegenic and relatable - keep it up!
FOREAL!!!!
We all deal with our own situations man, don't undermine what may be troubling you. I hope everything works out in your favor with regards to your car
Same, broke the same part of my hand two times in 2 months, still with a cast frustrated, found this video and thought to myself it ain't that bad

Dude I love the grom, and the fact that you're on two wheels and adapting after your accident is admirable. You're clearly a mentally strong person, stay that way.
I appreciate you 🫶🏼
Scary death machines. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to small to be safe in America
I just love how many awesome Mods there are for Groms and Z125s haha. I hope your recovery and adaptation go smoothly @Nick

Never ride when u have anger.
Holy that is tragic, stay safe man❤

hey bro, I'm so sorry you've had to go through this.
I'm not sure how my algorithm brought me here, but man I'm glad you made it out alive.
Thanks for understanding, I’ll think about it
This is the first video I’m seeing of yours. I’m happy you’re doing well. I’m sorry about your accident and I hope that your life gets better from here on out.
Thank you!
@ of course just be safe out there✌🏽
The algorithm brought me here, and this is my first time seeing your channel.
You’re a strong man buddy didn't expect a face reveal thought after all you still didn't give up on riding ,your courage is unmatched man 🔥✨
Thank you brother🫶🏼
I just started riding about a year and a half ago, went from a Grom up to a Speed Twin. I absolutely love the thrill of the ride and being able to clear my head but I can't help but always be worried and have my head on a swivel.
Your chat about not getting on the bike or in a car after you have a bad day emotionally is peak advice.
Credit goes to you for being brave and honest when making this video. Also shoutout to you for getting back on a bike even after the injury.
Thank you! Be safe out there!
I gotta say man I was in a horrible accident as well, dam near had to have my left arm amputated. Doc said I almost bled to death twice (needed four bags of blood) out of my left arm and had a total of 3 surgeries, had more broken bones and also popped my bladder ect. Mad respect brother till this day we are both alive n ridin, keep your head up
You're a trooper brother. Keep your head up as well. We're lucky to still be here so let's make the most of it🦾
This is actually scary. I had a dream just a couple of nights ago where I lost my arm somehow and could no longer ride my motorcycle. Anyway, it's absolutely awesome that you didn't let the accident stop you from riding. Some people will call you stupid for doing that, but in reality, that's dedication.
Took a lot of courage and humility to tell that story. Don't let such honorable traits go to waste - the world doesn't have enough these days.
If any of you are reading this and wonder if I still ride, I do not ride anymore
hey man, thanks for sharing your story
I'm sorry to hear this man... but thank you for sharing. Like you said, I also felt robbed of what I was capable of before the accident. I also felt robbed of my biking journey. The depression that comes with severe injuries like ours is no joke. I'm glad you're still here brother. Thank you for taking the time to share and comment
I just want to congratulate you on making this video, also im so glad that you are alive and still riding!
Thanks man! 🙏
Having a crash like this is a very difficult task. and hats off to you. having a breakup can cause alot of emotions, but i hope you're okay, everyone loves you and everyone cares for you
just take time to yourself and ride safe. riding with one arm, CANNOT be easy. everyone is so proud of you
I’m doing better everyday, but there are definitely some harder days. Thank you for the encouragement!🤍
This put a smile on my face! Thanks for the sub! More videos to come for sure🦾
Exactly 😂
Hey there young man, I think you're more than allowed to call the feeling you had depression. Transient or situational depression is a legitimate experience. Labeling it is a personal choice, but it can be an important part of moving on. You seem like a strong soul, and I hope you have a long life ahead of you. Carry this lesson with you, let it be a touchstone, not a weight that drags you down. And if you're going to continue riding, get yourself some gear, ride safe, and remember that slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. Kia kaha.
Only bikers find a way after a crash like this to ride again haha. Also that scenery on the right with the mountains is amazing. Much love bro❤️❤️
found this while surfing tonight. one month in the hospital? you were really messed up....besides your arm...so hard to see you laying in the street like that but, despite your accident, you are a brave young man and started off by acknowledging that you are alive (could have been worse). it is totally understandable that you would be "the D word" and emotionally hurting.

I appreciate this, thank you

Speedy recovery friend! Thank you for spending some time with me here
so happy you're alive and still riding, just found you through this video and you are honestly just such a strong person to tank a crash, accept and admit fault, lose the ability to use a whole ass limb and keep riding. you are an inspiration for riders all around and I can say that with confidence, take care of yourself and keep all hand and feet on the the ride
Idk where you’re filming from but holy crap it looks beautiful and so does the grom lol. I kinda wanna get one it looks fun. thank you for sharing your experience and being open. On to the next adventures🫡
Get one! it is indeed a lot of fun
I'm so sorry to hear this and hope you can mentally make a full recovery. I just want to say the fit goes hard though. The sling combined with the white shirt is actually a strong look.
Take it easy brother
Happy you're still with us Nick, miss you bro.
Happy to see your comment brotha, ,miss you too
difficult thing to deal with especially at such a young age, i hope that you have the support you need around you. it sounds like you are doing well so far. but keep at it. its great that you got back on the bike. personally i'd go deeper into my other passion which is cars
I also love cars, but I’ve pretty much built my car to what I wanted and I don’t have money for another car but I already had my grom😂
I like that you keep it real and represent the 95% of us that would just brush off a major life changing injury like this with a smile.
I still ride motorcycles to \m/
"Where there is life, there is hope". And you have your whole life ahead of you.
Best Wishes m8
Ride safe and take care!
Stephen hawking? 😁
Respect. My brother crashed hard too a few years ago, and it still is confusing to me why he (and you) don't ATGATT after something like that happening. Stay safe.
The worst part is the mental health depression 7:17
Amen nick
I am praying for you!!
I myself have struggled with the same mental issues in the past.
I hope you have a good day
2:02 bro just assaulted the bike 💀💀💀
😂😂my fault bro
Bro, am I the only one who hears Matt Rose say "SKULL EMOJI" whenever I see 💀
The algorithm got me to your video. Thank you for sharing your story, cannot imagine how hard it must have been to make this video.
It seems to me you are still in the process of dealing with the trauma of the accident. I wish you all the best❤️
There are children all over the world dying of cancer, war, etc, but you still have your life, and there is so many more things you CAN do.
And I'm not undermining that. I'm just sharing my story. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Sorry to hear that 😢 God bless you ❤❤ Glad you're alive
Yeah I still have my entire arm! It’s in the black sling across my body
You seem to have your head screwed on right, and can reason with your situation. This will help you become an even better version of yourself. Shame about your arm but I have no doubt you will bounce back with the attitude you entertain. Keep your head up brother!
Thank you for having the strength to share your story. I hope you’re recovery continues well! ❤
hey man. extremely sorry for your loss. glad you're okay, alive and still kicking it! i have been through the exact scenario but by god's grace i walked away a few times before the fateful night. riding a motorcycle is all about your mentality, you have to be composed and very aware of your surroundings. to all the new riders, gear up, ride safe, dont push it too far and always remember, there is someone waiting for you back home, whoever that maybe. you are a legend mate, stay safe and keep riding!
Glad you survived. This is a great reminder for us riders to be careful and not take things for granted. Thanks for sharing your story.
I'm a racer and still in rehab. You are so brave to talk about yourself and admit, accept your situation. All riders face it, but some are still not realizing. Life is going on. Please stay safe bro.
Thank you bro. Hope you get back in the game asap
Keep Fighting Bro! You are a tough guy who got back into his feet and even riding bikes again! You deserve a Salute for being that much brave!
Appreciate your honesty and admitting it was your fault. Hard lesson to learn but you will be a better rider, even with the injury. Glad to see you didn't give up riding man.
I was saving up for a bike, this makes me wanna rethink my decision … however still grateful ur still here 😅
rethinking your decision is good, and i still recommend it to anyone who wants to give it a try. it's a lot of fun and can be super rewarding too. just be super safe and don't end up like me!
I’m so inspired by this video , your humility and positivity is so refreshing, good to know that there are still people like you in this world.
Thank you very much! I hope your brother is doing well and has gotten a lot stronger since
I don't know how this video came up in my feed, but I'm glad it did. Keep living life brother. God has your back!!!
Thanks, man! I appreciate it.
Gotta be grateful for everything I suppose
Stay safe brother, appreciate your message
Came across this in my recommended and I am so glad that you are still with us!
gained a new sub today... shoutout to you for continuing to do what you love to do!
Thanks for the support, it means a lot!
I'm sorry it happened to you, I wish you all the best!
❤
Balls of steel admitting to your fault and sucking up the consequences.
This is what being a real man is godspeed and wish you the best!
