Hey Josh. So sorry about the news and how you aren't getting banned it really sucks man. I hope you are successful here on TH-cam and twitch to the point where you can keep uploading these great videos. I'm my opinion all of you guys have given back to the community enough and I feel you and Dazed have really given back by the streams and things like that. Anyways I hope your successful in everything you do and if there is a petition or something where I can sign that would allow you to compete in tournaments or lans let me know, I'll sign it. +Niklas Engberg I know this is a really late reply, but greetexting is meant to quote people on fourms/imageboards. It turns the text green and it kind of stands out from the rest of the text. The thing you're doing though is from 4chan, which kind of has its own spinoff when it comes to greentexting, like telling stories or pointing stuff out in posts.

Thanks for this! As a relatively new IGL this helps me focus our efforts in a coordinated fasion as well as getting everyone on the same page. Very useful information. Could you maybe talk about reviewing demos from an IGL perspective like what to look for (individual play or overall team strategy?) and then how to use that information and translate it into a practice session for the team?
This video was very helpful, I use to igl in 1.6 and lead my team to playoffs for my first serious team. I never liked to igl but was kind of forced to, I think if you make more video's it would greatly help me and others understand being an igl more Thorough and effective. Keep up the good work man you give amazing advice.

Haven't watched this video yet, but based on the title I really like the idea of this video series. When I tried making a team with a group of friends establishing a basic working structure for the team proved very difficulty especially when you consider everyone's busy schedules. If I ever found the time to play a lot of CS again and make a team with friends a video series like this I'm sure would prove extremely helpful. Can't wait to watch it later tonight or this weekend!

And btw keep this series up, it's a great way for newer players (like me) who are around the MGE/DMG level to start taking a more tactical approach to CS, not just winning because of superior aim. Please do these for both CT and T side for as many popular maps as possible :) keep up the great work

+Nejmen what he did was wrong. Morally. Valve had no regulations in line on the matter of gambling and still don't. They also handled the ban very poorly, giving a half assed announcement that the bans were inded permanent A YEAR after the matter.
Chan Huynh I do agree that they did handle it poorly.. they could've just banned them on the spot.. not waiting a year for just to ban them. But they have to set the standards on what happens if you match fixes. As they have banned DOTA 2 players on the same thing before. they should do the same to iBP
+Nejmen Solo was only banned for a year for match fixing. There are multiple precedents.
+Nejmen They handled it very poorly and there is also reason to believe that maaaany more matches were fixed. I condone what they did and it was important to set an example, bu ta 3 year band would've been more than sufficient. Banning someone for life is incredibly harsh.

I reckon perma ban for ex-IBP was too harsh, a year it should be, but not permanent on the first offence. Never mind because valve doesn't give a fuck anyway but it's sad to see so much talent wasted.

So my players have told me that these routines that I make are too strict and argue that because they're scripted, they're too readable and easy to take advantage of. I've tried a more loose style of calling that they wanted, but that has shown poor results in scrims. What would be the best way to handle this situation?

Hello Josh. Im IGL for my team for about 3months now. We ve been playing all sort of teams on different tournaments and the one thing thats kiling us on our T side is the ct agressive play. Do you have any tips for that? Sick video though keep it up :D
i myself im a igl i say i adapt to 9/10 teams almost always 1st off play slower like a navi playstyle 2nd if u know lets say they play agressive long trying sending 2 to pickhim off my igling becomes better when i play against a team where there aim is insane and my team is down and i have to go big and igl and carry frag wise and always believe in ur self never be like seangarus wheres he like i dont what to do vs fnatic iv done stupid strats or unsual like on overpass on pistol i like to rush connector and if theres no one go a if we kill 1 we send 2 a fake and 3b if theres no one we go a now 1st time my team thought i was being a idiot we did it it works 4/5 u need to be unpredictiable u need to make them unsure of what they wana do

josh, why don't you make a team with the other banned players and a 5th willing to compete seriously in all the events that are not valve sponsored? after all, now with eleague and more, you would only be missing 4-5 majors a year but be able to compete in everything else. Go for it man !

5:40 that smoke is very bad to throw if you want cat control. A ct awper can see over it to cat and its almost like a one-way smoke for him. Much better to smoke ontop of xbox.

We have a really hard time executing off cat, could you maybe make a videa or just post some smart things we could try. We have tried smoking off the whole a site but often it just ends up with them retaking it, and the lurker long often just gets fucked because they expect him.

Can someone clarify what happened? Josh fixed a match and got banned? If that's the case, I think its perfectly reasonable.
They were caught, not told what would happen for a year to "consider" the punishment, and then they were permabanned.

You COULD play like Happy a few months ago...
+scrappyTV, i'm a pretty new IGL myself. From what i've gathered, a default is the positon/area people go to every round to hold. So in dust two, my default is: 1 person goes upper tunnel to watch out for pushes, 1 person stays T spawn and makes sure no one goes lower, two people rush short and gain control of it, one person outside of long and watches for pushes, the person who was top mid proceeds to upper tunnel, then the person who was watching upper tunnel watch middle from lower or works short.
