- This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / whatever of the Game Boy Advance game Metroid Fusion. In this video I complete the game with 100% items and a time quite under 2 hours.
I had used ZeldaLinK's speed guide in preparation for this video. Took a few tries, but I was finally able to get all the items in a short amount of time. The boss fights could have gone a slight bit faster perhaps. I'm sure there are better strategies out there than the ones I used perhaps.
I understand that the Japanese version has a hard mode, but since I try to do the US version of games if I can, I guess I didn't have much choice in the setting, so I apologize about that. - เกม

this was my first game on my GBA. I WAS 6 YEARS OLD WHEN I GOT IT AND GAWD THIS GAME GAVE ME NIGHTMARES, ESPECIALLY RIDLEY'S SCREAM.

I invested so much into this game as a child that watching this now, despite not playing it in years, every little sound effect and musical piece is still so perfectly vivid in my head. Brings me back to a simpler time when my only obligation in life was to unlock all those doors!

9:07-9:08 Samus: Now I feel like eliminating all the Metroids on SR388 was a huge mistake. By doing so, I inadvertently allowed the X parasites to resurface. If I had known about the X at the time, I wouldn’t have exterminated the Metroids.
In the manga, the Chozo didn't tell anyone about the metroid and the x parasite because they feared people would weaponize them

This is my favorite game of all time... I love Metroid, but this game just has a unique quality to it, and the gameplay is just so amazing I can't stop playing it almost 11 years later... I got this game for Christmas of 2002
I have fond memories of this game, and I remember getting over 95% of the item collectibles on my first and only full playthrough of it. Gotta say, you really made justice for me by collecting all the items I didn't find/bother collecting. I know you do this for fun, but I gotta thank you kindly for putting such amount of effort into getting these runs right and sharing them with us (the viewers). Kudos.

First you start running, and when you start to blink, you want to duck to store up the charge. Press jump and then a directional button (depending on where you want to go) and you should do the shinespark.

God, I always started panicking whenever the SA-X entered the room I was in. Just the footsteps made me nervous. But when that thing spotted me the first time, I literally and figuratively froze in place.
So you died just haveing thouts like "im dead im dead im dead im dead"
To be fair, that experience is absolutely terrifying!

when I first played this a simple tap on the shoulder would make me jump I dunno how others feel playing it tho.

i played this before Zero Mission cause i discovered it before i found out about ZEro Mission. Guess it was fun; just to much space-nerdy looking. but the one thing that freaked me out the first time i played it was that cut scene right after you go down the elevator at 16:15. X Samus's face? HOLY SHIT! HEART ATACK! PANIC! PANIC! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
wasn't so scary in this video though, probably cause I got used to it after some time. and the screen just didn't make it scary enough. I played this on an emulator hooked up to a huge flatscreen. My experience was enough to almost break my one and only laptop. Lucky though. :P
Qing Zheng I know right? Every time I go to my room to get something and it's nighttime and my room is dark I'm afraid if the SA-X will blow up my window and destroy me.
Honestly, the Prime series enemies that eat your visor and the tentacles are much 2 spoopy 4 me, this game, not as much.

What you see is me playing. I have no idea why the time was less than what I would have imagined it would be. The only thing I can think of is that during certain things the timer pauses. Though, I wouldn't mind being able to actually beat the game in 1 hour and 36 minutes, but I doubt I could do that anytime soon. There's the part before the game starts, the ending, collecting items, perhaps scenes where Samus or Adam is talking, and maybe transitions from room to room could pause the timer.
No problem. I'm just about to attempt recording another run for Metroid Zero Mission. I'm going to attempt a 15% run on hard. I see that as the second top ending to get (well, ending picture...) After reading up on some new strategies, this is going to be rather easy I think. I sort of wish I could do my 100% run with what I learned for this upcoming video...
After the spider boss is the toughest for me. My health is pretty low and it's hard for me to escape SA-X. Damn it all! But this play through definitely helps!
I remember fighting seres for the first time on the school bus in the morning as a child... didnt touch that game for several days it scared me so bad😂😂 i miss this masterpiece so much❤❤

Just like all the other Metroid games, you jump towards the wall, and when you reach it, you hold the other directional button and press jump. It might take a bit of practice, but it's easy enough to do once you learn it.

I remember playing this when I was 8 years old. The SA-X Was so scary to me, I even turned off the gameboy when hearing the explosion at 28:27 thinking it was SA-X. It was still a fun game tho.

Both games have quite a few ending pictures, depending on how you end the game. The difficulty setting, the time spent, items collected, etc, all factor into various ending pictures.
If you did not play this game you had no childhood..... Nuff said lol

Keep running till you start flashing and then crouch down. You'll store the energy from it. After that I think you either hold up and jump, or just jump. Having a memory block here, but it's easy enough to pull off.

Can't say for sure. Been too long since I played the Prime games. Though, I suppose perhaps Dark Samus if I had to pick one.
fusion is by far my favorite handheld game
this is the second time i see someone with like 100+ missiles before they get to nightmare. i must suck at finding missile tanks.

Well, before I got the finished product (IE, a run that I didn't actually mess up royally...) I had run through the game a few times, following guides, looking at videos, taking notes, etc, to the point where my brain just goes into auto pilot... :P
Course, usually after I finally get done with a game, I never want to play it again considering how much time I spend on them making the freaking video... >_

This is the only Metroid game that I was able to finish. Metroid and Super Metroid for the NES and Super NES were hard.

Ah I remember this game. My cousin had this game. He would struggle at a boss. Can’t remember which one. I still remember the music. But the evil version of the character always scared me. The footsteps... every time I accidentally fall to meet the evil version, I get wrecked. the footsteps alone always intimidated me as a kid.

Lot's of practice, studying maps, and many, many,many restarts. Needless to say, I doubt I'll be playing the game again anytime soon...In making my videos, I play the games to death to get it right, and I tend to be sick of it later... :P.
It just takes a bit of practice. Once you do it a few times and get the timing down, you'll have no problems afterwards.
