Metroid Zero Mission is an enhanced remake of the original Metroid for the Nintendo but with extra features, a new areaand a extended story on how Samus got her iconic suit.
Space Pirates attack a Galactic Federation-owned space research vessel and seize samples of Metroid creatures. Dangerous floating organisms, Metroids can latch on to any organism and drain its life energy to kill it. The Space Pirates plan to replicate Metroids by exposing them to beta rays and then using them as biological weapons to destroy all living beings that oppose them. While searching for the stolen Metroids, the Galactic Federation locates the Space Pirates' base of operations on the planet Zebes.
The Federation assaults the planet, but the Pirates resist, forcing the Federation to retreat.
As a last resort, the Federation decides to send a lone bounty hunter to penetrate the Pirates' base and destroy Mother Brain, the mechanical life-form that ontrols the Space Pirates' fortress and its defenses. -

This game is awesome
I agree with you
Indeed.
I love how it basically turns into Metal Gear Solid when Samus is in her Zero suit.
Kain Prime that section frustrated m when I first played it
i got scared when i get chased by the pirates
I hate this part. Guess I should not try to play metal gear solid
Best remake ever.
a testament to how dated the original game was... and how fucking amazing GBA games were.
man forget 8 bit... I miss this 16-32 bit era
one of those rare occasions where the remake was better than the original
Just beat this game for the first time a little while ago. I LOVE THIS GAME!
"Are the security turrets online?"
"Yes they are beeing farmed for items sir, i mean mom.."
Zero Mission. Yes! I love this game. This is one of my favorite games of all time.
I can't believe I spent almost four hours of my life seeing this... I´m so proud :')
All I’m imagining during the self destruct sequence are the Space Pirates desperately looking for the cancellation button.
“Out of order?!”
“Fuck! Even in the future nothing works!”
"Have A Nice Day..."
All: "Thank You."
Wish Nintendo could officially remake Metroid 2: Return of Samus.
Same here.
That game has always been criminally underrated and overlooked.
As far as I'm concerned, AM2R IS the official remake. It has so much to offer: superior graphics, awesome soundtrack, detailed landscapes and stages, and special effects that actually look cool and make the game stand out. IMO it does even more for Metroid 2 than Zero Mission did for the original. Even if Nintendo DID make an 'official' remake, I have a feeling it would fall short and get mixed reviews at best.
Alex, I support you on this one! Nintendo might've done worse. Since nowadays, it ain't the same like it was in 2004. Now they think about accessibility and this doesn't only mean hand-holding.
Albert Chavez you're wishes came true.
Can we get a Metroid master collection on the switch
In this metroid game, the timer pauses when you transition from area to area through doors, that few seconds adds up over the course of a game. Also pauses for cutscenes as well, that explains the huge time difference.
for an eleven year old video with 240p quality, this does look pretty good though
Thanks very cool to show us your gameplay
I got this game when I was liek 4 or 6 and I only made it halfway throo so I've been spending a YEAR searching 4 a complete gameplay so bless u sir :')
This brings back memories...
I consider the events depicted in Zero Mission to be the actual truth on what really happened down there, it has to be the same with the SR388 mission in AM2R. Since, Super Metroid's rendition of the second half of Zebes was presented in jaw-droppingly stunning detail, it made it all the more real and the player was immersed like never before. What unfolded in front of his very eyes were the unexplored and sinister depths of the planet.
Agreed.
And HER eyes.
Stephen P "Reading comment" This guy surely know about the metroid franchise!
His very eyes
His
*H I S*
*T R I G G E R E D*
*Starts talking about a completely different game halfway through comment*
His eyes...? Don't think you're talking about the Metroid franchise.
you've gotta admit it's a loooooooot less confusing and frustrating thought, thank god for the map system. besides we all know Super Metroid is the best
That has to be the easiest and shorted Ridley fight ever - 1 hour 37 (or so) minutes.
Dbzlotrfan M Well it certainly never took me that long. It took me long enough to get there, though.
ahh i remember when i was playing this game on my game boy when i was kid... good moments
You do the gaming world proud.
Are those longplays usually recorded in one sitting?
2:09:03 A Random Pirate:[Looking around before spot Samus] Halt!
Also A Random Pirate: **Get paralyzed** Damn...
Also a random pirate: gets killed by friendly fire
Muito bom esse Metroide! 👍🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I love Metroid. It's my 4th favorite Nintendo series, just behind DK, Mario and Zelda.
It is my 3rd behind Mario and Zelda, also it would've been cool to have a true SNES Kid Icarus follow up
Panagos, that was in Metroid Fusion for the Gameboy Advance. I believe you also battle a Dark Samus copy in one of the Meteoid Fusion/Prime on the Game Cube or Wii (can't say for sure).
Dark Samus was in Metroid Prime 2 and 3.
Samus Aran X or SA-X was in Metroid Fusion.
The Mother Brain's second stronger form was in Super Metroid/Metroid 3
Faithul remake to Metroid, with updated bosses and some new ones.
Tarosan not aiming diagonally at the enemies and bosses is making facepalm.
Great game! I also love the NES version
3 hours, holy crap-a-doodle
I love this game so please send this game to play store. I love Metroid and Nintendo games
Personally I rate Fusion and Zero Mission as equally good and don't rate one over the other.
But when it comes to which title I would play if I have a free moment I would choose Zero Mission as I feel you need to have several free hours to get into Fusion. Its a game you can't play between work hours for example because by the time you are making some progress you need to stop again.
Yeah. There both equally amazing games. But I definitely prefer Zero Mission because of the much more free content with less mission structures & isn't heavy based on story & much dialog as Fusion is ( Not saying Fusion's story is bad by all means. Just way to heavy focus & more dialog that has no option of skipping it ). Plus, Samus's controls in Zero Mission is alot smoother than in Fusion where she can be heavy.
i love the opening
21:24 now THAT is what I call a firefly.
I just found out that I no longer have this game! It was in a GBA holder in a DS case that I traded in to Gamestop years ago! Oh the agony....ahhh, damn myself for being so careless! And curse you Gamestop for not spotting it(or just not telling me)! Thanx for the upload cubex55. It's been years since I've ran through this game.
@kaiserzero61
It's amazing. I also remember sitting in my dark room, hunched over my GB Advance SP (good times) , playing waaaay beyond bed time.
Feels like it's been maybe one year!
I've played this game.
In A Blur Of Raw Talent And Courage, A Life's Mission Begins!
You Can Experience It As Samus Aran In NINTENDO'S METROID ZERO MISSION!
Her First Mission As A Intergalactic Bounty Hunter!
Rated E For Everyone!

My first Metroid game. It was hard as shit at the time because i didn't know what the hell i was doing lol
This was also my first Metroid game, I got stuck on one place but it was easy overal
I'm not sure if I should get this, it looks really fun and all but the exploration portion of it looks rather hard
My favourite game ever :D
I LOVE this game ;);););););
I missed out on Metroid and Super Metroid as a kid, and I didn't really care much for the Prime series, but this was the game that turned me onto the series and made me a fan for life.
ANOTHER 3 hour video? damn ...
Awesome Game!!
3:08:50 dosent the music here kinda sound like the opening music from final fantasy iii for ds
NINTENDO'S METROID ZERO MISSION 20th Anniversary 2004-2024!
I have this game but cannot get it to work. Think one of the connectors is bad. Sucks since it is not cheap anymore.
I had the high jump and Varia suit before Kraid
I remember from years back that at some point you fight a Suit like Samus' one and also Mother Brain a second time where she's stronger.
Where does that happen?
I mean, I know it's six years later, buuuuuut...
Metroid Fusion and Super Metroid, respectively.
You beat me to it. 6 years later and 2 would-be replies within 2 weeks.
Y love this game

Nintendo should put this game on the 3DS.
Or the Wii U virtual console
Nintendo is already thinking of putting this game on the Wii U virtual console, just like Metroid Fusion.
Militant Pacifist Exsactly
Militant Pacifist it should put the game in game boy advance
Nintendo 3DS's hardware isn't engineered to play Game Boy Advance games.
Emergency Order:
Exterminate All Metroid Organisms On Planet Zebes...And Defeat The Mechanical Life-Form, Mother Brain.
Incredible run, it's like you KNEW where everything was O.o
I read in the comments that it was the first time the person beat the game.

@Valis77 ive noticed you comment on alot of longplays :P you seem to enjoy them vails
@benjamillion It was a lot quicker than I thought it would of lasted... considering it's the first time I'd beat Zero Mission

is this the first in the timeline?
Never played this, but it looks fantastic.
Complex and great atmosphere...
Another great Metroid game that u should give it a try. It's amazing.
Responder a este video....es genial
Callese señor
GBA games are awesome, some of the best handheld games ever were on GBA, prime examples being Metroid Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion, not to mention the best of the PokeMon series, excluding those on Color obviously. on top of that there's a lot of really good Sonic and Mario games for the GBA. the only handheld system to beat GBA in game quality is the PSP, because it had titles like Dissidia and Secret Agent Clank.
There's also Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrows, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Wario Land 4. There's so many good GBA games.
can you do the prime series
this is best GBA game ever!!
@Nation4202007 I played metroid fusion on my GBA and zelda a link to the past on my snes just the other day
Wait a minute. Could the Space Pirate Mother Ship be the wrecked ship Samus found in Super Metroid?
Yes
@Valis77 i have no clue :/ i need to make a new account is all i know, for my walkthroughs or lps or w.e youd call them :Pi kinda wish i could do thease longplays, them 10 min videos are annoying to keep track of the time -.-

lol i was playing this on gameboy like when i was 6 years old while was are school break lawl
This is the game that made Metroid's bitch Nasa.
Miss this game on my Gameboy I used to have lol
u are picking all the items?
I felt that after we kill mother brain the game kinda dragged on. The game was supposed to be a Metroid prequel, but if felt like a M1 remaster. It was the same game with extras. With that said, it was fun! It was M1 with superM gameplay. Serious points for the callback where Samus played without her suit. I wouldn’t call this a prequel, but all in all I call it a win.
It wasn't as a prequel...
It was meant as a reMAKE and just as it was meant it was completely remade from scratch. So I don't really know what you're talking about.
I don't know if it dragged on, I loved the extra bit after Mother Brain, it meant the mission wasn't done yet. Made it a bit longer of a game, more bang for your buck if you will. It wasn't just a remaster, it was more, a little more love and care given to the person buying the game. Gave it a bit more unfamiliarity to those familiar with the original game, that last bit, they didn't know what to expect.
Is the level design for original metroid & zero mission the same?
Not even close.
There are a few screens that pay homage to the original but for the most part its very different.
Final area
definetely gotta get this one
U should. It's awesome.
@Stripes1998 A power bomb.
Remake w stylu Game Boy Advance.
Oh, wait those are not flies.
Well this was actually a pleasure to do because I didn't beat this previously and now I felt that this has completed a cycle of the Canon Metroid games.
@Valis77 yes ive also know that :P you have alot of skill to do what you guys all do. ive been subbed to you and i started making walkthroughs but some prick i know reported my account and it took of all but 1 gameplay video -.- and it wont let me up load anymore -.-
I never knew then that it was a remake to the original NES game.
I still do. Is that proof?
@animan43 me too,, it is really funny and makes the game easier,, got to ridley before kraid
Not Serra area
Wait! Samus can walljump? How?
Why? You jealous?
Metroid is the only game with the Pro wall jump.. you either got it, or you fall.
In other games wall jumping is easy, in metroid its timing.
Mockball.
32:31 wow do you see that
