We are super excited to share the exciting news that Frank's Porsche 911 992.1 GT3 is finally here! In this video, we share with you the delivery day of Frank's dream car. It's truely a once a life time experience to collect a brand new Porsche 911 GT3! In the second half of the video, we will also share with you Frank's initial thoughts of driving his dream car, what it's like to drive the 992 GT3 for the first time?

Congratulations! As a fellow S2000 owner, if I had to buy a new sports car today I'd buy the same one you did - 911 GT3. We sure do love our 9000rpm redline ;)
I think Porsche did a fantastic job with the new 992 range.
Thank you! Yes, I love my S2K, although mine is an AP2, doesn't rev as high as the AP1, but it's still one of the most exciting NA engines out there. I really look forward to experience that 9k rpm of the GT3 once I finish the run in period, haha
@@sundaymorningdrives You're welcome :) The AP2 is dialed back in more ways than the redline but it's still so awesome. The F22 is an amazing engine too. I just wish I could get a CR to complement my 2000 AP1 ;) Then I'd have the ultimate combo! Can't wait to see you ripping your 911 to 9k once you have safely broken her in (those rings need to bed with the cylinder walls nicely first) :)
@RolanTHUNDER yes, I have heard that the AP1 is more visceral than the AP2, never tried one though... that's on my bucket list, haha 😄

@@sundaymorningdrives The color really works on that. The color isn’t over the top, yet it does a great job of subtly bringing out the gorgeous lines of the car. Perfect choice in my humble opinion.

Yes, we usually drive all the way to Kaiaua and back, do you drive that way often?

Congrats Frank! As you're aware, the FL5's feedback and feel sometimes gets compared to GT3. Since you have both, please let us know how the GT3 (steering feel and ride) compares to the humble Honda. I'm sure the Porsche fans won't mind you comparing them.
Hi Eli, thank you, yes we are planning to do a comparison with these two cars, it should be fun! Initial thoughts on the steering feel is similar, but the GT3 has a lighter and quicker steering, makes its front end more darty.

will you need to take it back once the run in miles are done or does the ECU just unlock the rest of the rev range automatically?
According to the dealer, there is no limitation on the revs, there is just a message at startup to "observe 1500km run in", and no need to go back to dealer after run in
Is it firmer than the Turbo 997? Looking good!!
The ride is better than the 997 turbo actually, very surprising

Ya? You don't think so? I drive it a lot, just not over 4k rpm yet. I tend to break in all my new cars, just a personal preference I guess.
for real, I break in mine by redlining it for an entire day
