I JUST proposed a similar idea, a "what if when skylab ran its usefulness up in LEO, why not send it into polar low lunar orbit, using its telescope for insane detail viewing of the Lunar surface" in the ksp discord
I find it really cool that even in this alternate history simulation of real life, it proceeds much the same. The Soviets aim for huge achievements and milestones while the Americans have a more developed plan for actually exploiting space.

Also the telescope might have been built onto a free flying LM ascent stage. Then they lost access to a Saturn V and had to redesign using a Saturn 1B, and using its second stage was a wet workshop. Then they got a Saturn V back for the project, and just decided to cut down on complexity by turning it into a dry workshop. That’s why the floor is that strange hollow grid; it was designed to let fuel flow through.

It feels strange that after 5 years and 58 episodes, For All Kerbalkind (FAK) is still going and still maintains its high quality. This episode was great. On another note: in 2023 we had 10 episodes of FAK, this year we now also have had 10 episodes. Are any more planned for this year or will the next one be in 2025? Or am I reading way too much into this and there is no plan at all? I have been known to fixate on stuff like this to a frankly ludicrous degree.

@@joeallen9104 Traveller 2 launched right after the first one, though it had a mishap in its trajectory and will only be able to do a distant flyby of Jupiter! I didn't spend much video time on it, iirc

Do you experience a bug with the volumetric clouds of rss reborn? I’m using release 4 of volumetric clouds and I have some clouds disappearing at a distance. I am using the google docs of rss reborn. Should I use an older version of volumetric clouds?
