First AND second car crash on the moon, what an achievement! Also probably the first descend of a reentry vehicle controlled by the crew jumping around the interior
Freaking RGB plumes. Also, I really love the energy of the Trinity VI segment. It's like Apollo 13 on crack. Not only is failure not an option, it's not even in the vocabulary. Edit: "Well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions."
Delays happen more than we'd all liiiike them to, but we still have the goal of one of us three uploading a video every weekend, we'll see if we can make it there :) Videos not disappearing by any means, and livestreams when I'm planning or recording will hopefully fill the gaps!
you are astoundingly talented at creating compelling stories based solely on the various missions and your comedy never fails to make me laugh. take my subscription.
Holy cow I was on the edge of my seat the whole time worrying about these Kerbals not making it home after such a shitshow of a mission. Absolutely brilliant as always and that "we're going to the Moon dammit" has some kind of Ed Harris in Apollo 13 x Cave Johnson energy that I didn't know was possible.
You're barely halfway through the Apollo missions and your NASA equivalent is already on Space Shuttle mode? Damn, the timeline in this series is going way faster than I thought
because I have nothing better to do- I binged all of FAK- including the 2 lunar landing streams- within the last month- despite the fact I did the same thing less than a year ago lol. this might be the single best KSP series I've ever watched! maybe I'll have to go rewatch beyond kerbol, heh
Thanks to all that went wrong this episode and all the solutions that really had no right to work as well as they did, this truly is the best commercial for sleep! All the craziness probably makes this my favourite episode of the series so far
Loved the risky moon landing. Thanks for the videos. I look forward to them each week from you lot. Y'all are rockstars, no matter what Matt Lowne says about you guys, I think you're cool. ;)
seems as if theres a need for re-usability within low Earth orbit and Lunar orbit, alot more difficult for things to go wrong when launch vehicles are alot less complicated, only needing to bring up limited payloads to a space station, this does of course require more funding, perhaps theres resources within Lunar regolith that would be valuable for transport back to Earth to justify more funding into continued Lunar programs
Crashing into the lunar surface twice with a rover and still driving on is the most kerbalism thing ever Edit. Ok just continued watching and returning with the help of RCS is also the most kerbalism thing ever
The most kerbal thing ever launching two rockets at once Oh wait you ignored safety and continued with two scuffed missions that just makes it more kerbal and American 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
It's honestly very kerbal, to have a perfectly normal rover at first, then a fun sled the next XD Edit: Actually, the entire Trinity VI mission was very kerbal 😂
@N9 is it the For All Kerbalkind Install Tutorial? Beardy has a segment for visual mods but doesnt go into detail for installing Parallax with RO configs
Is there a reason you couldn’t use the ascent engine on the LEM for a boost? Does it not have enough ignitions or something? I really wondered why it was never used during Apollo 13 to reduce velocity before reentry to mitigate potential damage to the heat shield, and I’ve never been able to stop thinking about other uses for it since.
I absolutely could have in this case, to answer why they never did IRL: I know a bit of the actual Apollo flight procedure, enough to get by in a Simulator, and something like that would have probably been more trouble than its worth, needing lots of study and additional programs for the guidance computer, and in all honesty, not a whole lot of oomf is really left over to push that CSM around with anyway!
For why he couldn't use it on this mission, you can see where he detaches the ascent module it's at base of the CSM docking probe (the "proper" way to undock from the ascent module), so no way to redock. He only figured out he was running on fumes a few minutes later on stream lol
It wasnt intended to take this long, and our goal is very much still every weekend one of us three has an episode - but things do happen and I'm not going to promise you no delays. Best I can do is hope for none :)

Hey Carnasa! can't wait for your next KGRR
That’s the part of the rocket launch your focusing on
"I dunno man, this seems kinda risky."
"They're not paying us to bring the rover back."
ADORE this deeply scuffed and inadvisable mission. "I paid for the whole safety margin, so by Kod we're gonna USE the whole safety margin"
the safety and lives of 3 kerbonauts is just yada yada💀
😂😂
Got that totally-not-cursed-yet-somehow-successful Moon landing with the RGB gamer plumes. What more can you ask for?
Hey, it's that guy!
So basically Apollo 13 if they had balls
I would say it's more of a death wish than balls

Ha, Trinity VI have wheel issues just like the counterpart Apollo 17 which had a damaged fender.

5 second CSM comet shot, delicious, the deed has been done

nothing makes me happier then seeing a new episode of for all kerbalkind from either you or beardy x3
7:36 N9 setting up for an Apollo 13 mission as he tries to for the Lunar transfer
The fact you had to drive *backwards* is so hilarious. The Antarctic Snow Cruiser had to do that actually.
