But for all that hardship, the endless void of space, and the limits of technology, reaching out and taking hold of it isn't the hard part. It's letting go.
Fun fact: at 35 tons Krasnyy-3 is MASSIVE. It's 50% more massive then the Artemis I Orion spacecraft, and it's 6 times heavier then Europa Clipper, which is the record holder heaviest interplanetary probe. It's definitely a big boi.

“He left a young, hopeful, happy and brave man. He was confident. He was a beloved hero of the Union. He returned a resigned and depressed schizophrenic, never to fly again.”.
What an impactful mission. Over a year and they have returned from venus safe and sound. Not publicly but technically biggest achievement than landing on moon imo. And Milli would receive the medal of "Hero of the Labour of the Republic of Cuba" for in recognition of extraordinary merits achieved in productive labour or in struggles for conquests and in defense of the achievements and interests of the working class, as well as for consistent practice and valuable contributions to proletarian internationalism.
If i had started watching this when ingame time it was 1940 to 1956, I would have done whatever was needed for a kerbal from the Karelo-Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic to fly. This series is really cool and inspires me to do more things in KSP.
My God, what an episode. With each and every single one, I'm falling even more in love with this series - one of the best I ahve ever seen, not just on TH-cam. Absolutely wonderful.
Hell yeah! Onwards Zenon to your cosmic adventures! And congratulations Milli and Konstantin for completing your mission! What a wild ride Rogatka has been.
It would be cool if Rogatka inspired a surge of interest in studying mental health and treating ptsd, and popularized psychedelic therapy super early in this timeline.
I bet in like the 1980's old konstantin returns to Venus in some capacity to live the rest of his life there on some space station, or venus base even? O_O
I sure hope the next mission isn't a crewed Jupiter flyby (no treadmill). Also, you did indeed butcher Mirosław Hermaszewski. But don't worry, Polish people sometimes have trouble pronouncing their names too!
It's over. It's done. They're home now, they're safe. Why did I worry so much about the Rogatka crew? Also I'm not sure if their journey took more time in-game or in real life.
The engines used on the N-2 have me wondering if a variation on the UR-700 concept using the RD-116s in place of the RD-270s (and the NK-15VMs in place of the hypergolic/kerolox upper stage engines) might not be a more efficient option. If nothing else, I'm fairly sure that was something that was considered (as part of a hail Mary effort by Chelomei to keep the UR-700 from being canceled).
I feel like a dice should be rolled when ever you land in the Indian Atlantic or Pacific Ocean that either the royal navy or the American navy recovers the crew
Oh my God, you noticed me, I honestly didn’t expect this and I’m very happy to tell you that you really have a lot of fans all over the world and thank you for this gorgeous series that I’ve been following for three years now

They don't really seem to have a schedule for this series. N9 told me that "Our upload schedule is representative of our collective free time and energy bandwidth, that's all! Plenty more episodes this year if things go well :)" So it may be a few days, next week, or 8 months away. If it makes you feel better, we've already had the same number of episodes this year as we did last year, so I'm counting that as a win.

My russian speaking friend says the name of the n2 just means Mo with a softened "S" behind, could be just that it isnt in cyrilic.
What are those 1st stage engines on the N2?
The RD-116, it's a kerolox variant of the RD-270
What crewed science experiments did you have on the Rogatka mission?
Anyone translated the piece of paper in the bottom right at ~16:38? I can make out Start at the top but that’s it.
