1973 or 74, Portland Maine @ the Expo. ZZ was the cover band for Mott The Hoople ‼️ ZZ rocked that house down. Mott the Hoople was boring many people left early!
I was privileged to see ZZ Top in Mt Pleasant, MI just days before the passing of Dusty Hill. It was one of the best concerts of my life. George Thorogood and John Fogerty of CCR opened up for ZZ Top. RIP Dusty Hill and my condolences to Frank and Billy. You guys are legends!
That sounds sooo amazing! I’ve seen George live once thankfully, it was amazing, but to see ZZ top (and John Fogerty as well) in the same night sounds amazing
Hope you guys are doing ok after you loss of Dusty. You guys hang in there... Keep making awesome music that touches the soul. I have been listening to you guys and following your careers since the After Burner album. Go Texas baby
Saw them @Elks's Lodge first time in Pasadena, Tx... '69-70. Around Htown a few times later on. My freshman buddies bought a 100w. Marshall head from Billy. He played "Brown Sugar" in a demo. They only had 1 or 2 lps out... I, also, saw Rocky Hill, Dusty's brother, a couple times... Badass guitarist back then!.. "That little ol' band from Texas" 🇨🇱 Dusty Hill, RIP

Hey 😌😂👋 Matthew, this is Jeff yoder the ol'broke down scooter tramp (ex-biker), and I agree 😊💯% with you, that nobody could,or can play boogie music the way ZZTOP could, and yes indeed they will be missed by all those who love 💕 their style of South West Texas rockin blues

Impossible to forget Dusty and his contribution to rock and roll and Blues. This band means the world to me! The fact they still sound this good at this age it's almost even better, it's crazy. Speaks volumes about why people love them
I have seen them 14 times spaning the last 45 years. Billy is the coolest dude on the planet. I will continue to see them whenever I can. Keep Rockin' and Dusty...thanks for all the memories.
So great to see a video that is pure musical performance instead of some goofy theatrical production. 3 dudes+1 guitar+1 bass+1 drum kit = raw, honest, thrilling rock and roll. Thanks for posting!
And when I heard my husband play this with his mesa boogie, I knew he was the real deal. Unfortunately, my ears couldn't take the 27/7 practice and I moved out. We were BFs till his passing in '17, and I know he's up there shredding those harmonics with you, sirXO.
Just saw their Netflix doc and had to check ZZ Out. You'd think the drummer would be the first to go. These guys are so damn efficient at delivering the nasty rock hook. America's AC/DC.
I always loved ZZ Top I seen them in Harrisburg, Pa. for three band members they sounded great they know how to put on a show never will forget it. I will miss Dusty may he rest in peace 🙏
