This band are so well respected down here in New Zealand. I remember seeing them in 86 with 67,000 other people in a stadium down here......May sound average by US standards but in a country of only 4.5 mill back then , That is a some following.

@@stanleymasterson1135 Yeah big following back then especially after the Eliminator album came out. They played at a speedway stadium at Western Springs in Auckland. I just went and Googled it and apparently the number was actually close to 80 k and it was in 87 not 86. { My memory isnt like it used to be =) } It was the only gig in NZ so people would have come from throughout the country to see them so that might be a the reason why they got so many. The concert was so loud that they were banned from playing there ever again because of the amount of noise complaints from nearby suburbs...Legendary .

Super bunch of guys, down to earth, and friendly. Met them on the highway coming into Omaha during their antenna tour. Drank some beers with them, gave them a Harley escort into the civic center. They gave us all access back stage passes and had their security watch our bikes during the show. Billy asked to sit on my bike to check it out, a rigid pan head painted silver with black flames. I said sure of course. One of the best summers of my life. ZZ Top rocks. A big thank you to Billy, Dusty, and Frank.

They were legends when I was in high school. I am retired now, it does not seem real how much time as passed but I can only be sad for a while, so much music to remember and like a lot of young people, so much crazy times that went along with the music that pops back in your memory when you hear an old song.
