Probably the best description of a installation I’ve ever seen 10 out of 10 very helpful also no background rock music to distract you Brilliant thank you I’ll get on and fit mine now 👍
Just followed these instructions for my 2015 RAV4. My car is very similar to the Yaris in the video. Brilliant video and a huge help! I used the 10amp Sun Roof fuse (always on) as I don’t have a sun roof. Next base website advises ‘always on’ fuse if you want to use parking mode as the camera goes into standby anyway.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I am planning to install one in Toyota Yaris hybrid 2018. Is the procedure still the same ? Also what size fuse slot should I use for the installation. Thank you.
@@PJsprojects thanks PJ, just one more question, how does the parking mode draw power if the camera is switched on with ignition only? Or does this function depend on the battery or capacitor in the camera? cheers.
@@Kalhan482 Fuse box layouts can vary between country of origin, models and build dates. No power is one of three reasons. 1. Bad earth. 2. No power at supply. 3. Faulty camera or install kit.
@ mine is a uk 2013 spec also. The camera works when using the 12v plug so the camera works fine. Ground point is the same as your however will look at other points. Maybe try a new hardwire kit and see if thats the issue
@ The hardwire kits have a small red led in them to show they are working. I installed hundreds of these kits and most of the problems encountered were poor connections.
On this one is was mini blade but I have seen imports with micro (even the UK models sold through car super markets that come via Ireland). Micro blade are not as wide as the ones in this car so it's easy to tell. Your best to pop the fuse cover of and have a quick look first just to be sure.

Thanks for this video... it helped me to understand the stubby fuse problem with my Prius and the use of the voltmeter for testing.
Thanks, brilliant vid. I just fitted mine. Saved £40 and simple to do.
Great video, thanks!
Nice tip about the cable ties to pad to get the cable to stay in place.
Thanks for this, this really helped save some time when fitting a Nextbase 522W kit into my 2012 Yaris.
That was very helpful. Job done, Thank-you.

brilliant, I was going to just use the cigar lighter socket, until I saw where the other fuse box was.
Thanks for the lovely video. Do you provide service to fit the Dashcam?
Have you fitted a nextbase on a Toyota verso
Where is the speed line wire you attach to new car audio replacement units?
Thank you for this!
Hello,
I have the Yaris hybrid 66 plate, would the procedure be the same?
Thanks, John
Yes it's the same setup.

If it's wired ignition only then it depends on the capacity of the battery back up,most are around a couple of hours at best.
Thanks!
I have the same car and plugged fuse where you tapped fuse same as you but not receiving power… any tips?

Is the piggy back fuse holder a standard or micro... thx

HI, we leave the fuse box cover off, is that correct thanks
Did you get an answer? I'm going to attempt this 2mos
@@Davidbetts The fuse box cover has to be left off, keep it safe for future use if removing the wiring kit.
why not use mini-low profile fuse adaptor?
No reason, just use whatever is on the van at the time, low prifle or standard is fine.
