Great video, was having trouble finding the best fuse to piggy back the hard wiring kit to, i could see from the video which one you had chosen, a great help, very easy to follow your demonstration.
There is a huge earth in the middle under the glove box you missed. Perfect fit for an earth cable. Works a treat. Use hazard for parking mode and ignition 1 for ACC
Hi Paul another question, an I right in thinking you e said to fit the yellow cable to the hazard light fuse ? Which is the ACC fuse for the red wire on the GR Yaris? Is this better than the USB socket fuse which Jonny used? Cheers 👍
Your video answered my unasked question. The Fusebox cover can't be re-installed after the Fuse tap adapters are installed. My left-hand drive Yaris & manual transmission greatly reduced the working space because of the clutch pedal & brake pedal. My fusebox only has two rows of fuses which tells me the actual fuse layout is different from your fusebox. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada, U.S.A.
Hi and thanks for the great advise, i have just bought a MK3 and love it. I have just got a hardwire kit for my rear view mirror so i am going to follow your advise. Please can you or anyone who has done this job, is there a correct way of plugging in the piggy back fuse into the car fusebox , what i mean is can the orientation be any way or does it have to be one way only? Thanks in advance.
any suggestions on how to route the cable for a USB dashcam ? I cannot see an obvious clean way to get the cable from the USB port to behind the glove box
I have a red , black and yellow cable with my hard wire kit do you know where I connect the yellow cable too? Thanks p.s keep the GR Yaris vids coming 👍
Not sure.. are there any instructions with the kit - is it an ignition live? So red to permanent live and yellow to switched live? Don't quote me on that, but just what it may be (to enable parking mode).
It seems the location of your camera actually obstructing the front sensor of the auto dim mirror. Any abnormality of the mirror's operation? Good video, btw.
Excellent video as always dude! Never really considered a dashcam until I saw this vid. Any way to quickly delete any spirited rides or does it only record once an accident is detected? 😇
Depends on your dashcam. Most of them fill the memory card and then overwrite the oldest footage. Nothing stopping you deleting clips you don’t want though. Once fitted, I tend to just leave them to do their thing until I need the footage.
Have you ever seen a dash cam turn on in a more dramatic fashion? 😎
Thank you about to install my dash cam on my GR, and only googled where the fuse box is. This vid came up. Thank you
So i am getting a GR. and I am going for a Dashcam. And you are awesome. Made my day! Thanks!
Cheers mate! Enjoy the car!
Thanks JB, just fitted mine using your method. I did notice however that the pre-threaded earth screw you used is M6 on AU spec cars.
M6 on UK too, small verbal 'typo'

Glad it helped
great video mate!
Thanks James!

Hi Paul where abouts exactly is this earth point you mention under the glove box?? Thanks
@@grantweller9300 it's nut screw right in middle holding carpet. It works

This is the one with the big circle attached to it as seen in 3:15?
Great video, thanks for making this. Was going to employ a professional but now Ive seen how simple it is I reckon I can do it myself. Cheers!
Awesome job, well done fella, thank you for sharing 👍
No problem 👍

I'll definetly be looking to doing this now. all the other video's Ive seen make it look so complicated

Slick and precise video Jonny ! 👍
Cheers Adam!
I'm just about to do this, so thanks very much! Great video as always.
Which fuse is a permanent live?
Thanks! Very helpful
Installing mines today on yaris thanks for video. PS I think it's a good idea to have the screen showing. It's a good deterrent for tail gaters
Very good Johnny ... I was scratching my head at the phrase ‘ground’ then realised you meant ‘earth’. All good though 👍
Thanks for the excellent video and tips
No probs!

when is the review coming out
Anyone looking to do this, my GR Yaris took a m6 sized bolt not a M4 as said in the video. Other than that, great vid!
Cheers!
Thanks for the tip about the low profile mini fuse! And M6 (not M4) bolt confirmed.
thnx for this, all i care about really is the WAF and thats very very hard to get right. Basically out of sight and no touching needed🤭
I have order the cable adapter , but the supplied fuse are 5 , is possibile to connect at the same fusu used by you (7,5 usb ) ?
Thanks .
Are you referring to fuse numbers in the fuse box?
I'll be getting mine professionally done, too scared to do it myself!

Nope, not that I have noticed!
If you’d remove the glove box, you can use a bolt that gives you ground easily without using an additional bolt!
Good shout!

@@JBCTR might just need one with an off button haha, thanks for the quick reply! How’re you finding your GR so far? Has it been broken in yet?
@@Agent.Michael_Scarn It’s wicked, and just about broken in now. Will have to get a drivers review up 😎
What abt also fitting rear one
I could be tempted to be fair.
Always nice vid
Cheers Alfio 😬
Is the visibility that bad to start with ? its not exactly an E class? I've probs got bigger shoes
Personally, I don't think so but many other reviewers think it is.
8:51 - shut ya boot, mate :)
It’s the boot delete mod. I’m all about that weight saving.
Why did you downgrade into a Yaris
