Welcome back to another specialist recovery, this time we had the unfortunate job of recovering a car on behalf of a family member that has sadly passed away, but I think he must of hidden the keys so well, that nobody could drive his pride and joy!
So it was a call to GDB to get the JOB DONE!

Unfortunately had to be recovered twice last year, (first time in 40 years), with Green Flag, and the expertise was superb.
I just discovered your channel tonight, that was some precision maneuvering of that Jaguar, especiallyt since it was so close to the fence and putting it into it's new owners driveway was pure skill, very well done, liked and subscribed. Ray

I'd have personally disconnected the battery before starting as that alarm would have driven me mad whilst I was trying to work 😂
how do you do that without the keys?
@@eliotmansfield He opened the driver's door at the start of the video. I'm sure you could get in to the boot easily enough to disconnect it.
The Jaguar alarms have their own power source, so disconnecting the battery would have made no difference.
@@98Blackbess so why did it stop when the battery died??
I think the power source is also a battery…

I know on the range rovers they have a mechanical handbrake/neutral release under the cup holders, do these cars have the same , being made by the same company ? Never the less, cracking job !
Yes they do, 30 secs to release and avoid damage.
Not gonna lie I looked at the gate and initially thought loads of room but as the video went on hats off to you mate millimetre precision

Hi there. To unlock rear wheel in engine bay by engine cover there is a gearbox release lever to pull which releases rear wheels mate
Every video me and my son watch ur videos we like them so much and we are getting ower own track made by to a slide bed and e also have a recovery time trailer we are spending a lot of time on them both u have given us so much inspiration
I think you need to brush up on your English language skills.
If you can get in the car could not not disconnect the battery and then realise the back wheels to save you some messing around. Not saying your way doesn’t work just a thought

4x slippys under all wheels, no need for wheel dolly. Brother straps on fron axel...Winch on, Job done ....Either way, great job done Greg, we all do things differently. Keep up the great work 👍

Question… by no means criticising… just me wondering…. Why don’t you disconnect the battery as you are able to access the car?

Is there not a pull cord under center console that releases handbrake.
That was good you managed to get the car away and without grounding it. I guess the rear end of the xf has deflated air bags? Just out of interest, say if it had been driven on that drive would you have been able to tow away with your repo spec
Morning thanks for tuning in! , Yes im very sure it had dropped a bit, im assuming it's not been used for quite some time, Yes spec lift would have been achievable but would of had to jack it up first, and then skids under rear wheels until could get tow dollys in, most likely would of set dollys up in the road being wider, as the dollys stick out quite wide. GDB

Brill job mate! Why is it not being dropped off at a main dealer? I thought they were the only ones capable of cracking the key code via computer jigerypokery & applying to the car makers direct for new keys? And you are talking weeks, not days for keys. Am I right?
if the door opens would the bonnet open to disconnect the battery? im only asking out of not knowing

Assuming they had it dropped off to use it at some point when they find the keys, why didn't they just wait to find them first? Would've saved all that malarkey imho.
This might be a silly question. But how do you get the car off at the other side. Considering hand brake is locked on etc you obviously winch it up but how about back down? Great videos by the way

Greg the Jaguar XF you recovered why don't you open the bonet and take the battery out to stop the car ala from going off you could of put the car battery in the front of the car in bin bag

Everyone knows the keys were behind the sun visor 😂
You should have a wreck truck instead so you would just put your dollies and move instead pull up the vehicle like that can damage the transmission

Hi, This video is a basic one edited by me, when I have my videographer, we sometimes do that like on a past video with the landrover and the ford transit custom hanging into a field! GDB
Yes I've seen those, its just this one you could see your cogs turning as you looked around the vehicle, I was just wondering 'What can he see, whats he thinking about and hows he curing it"?
I know the ones in fields and ditches can be technical but this one with limited access along with the uneven surfaces looked very interesting. I've been a subscriber for a few years now.
@@GDBRescueandrecovery Honestly, I prefer the way you do it, I'm not a fan of voice overs for some reason. There's another UK recovery channel on here who voiceovers, I just prefer your approach, text and the odd talk into the camera 👌

A real professional would know that there is a release lever inside the car to put the auto gearbox in neutral, and if he didn't know he would just simply 'google' it.
no keys on a 21 plate ? did they put them in the coffin ?
