Automatrics MTrack Triple Theft Recovery Operation

- After a quite start to the year its all change for Automatrics when they receive three separate theft reports. A stolen Honda TRX 420 ATV, a 3 Ton Hitachi excavator and a 1 Ton Thwaites dumper.
Follow the Automatrics theft recovery operation to see if they can locate all of these stolen assets. The operation becomes touch and go when the team are faced with a difficult low battery theft management issue.
Where is the stolen Hitachi machine, how can it be located in such challenging conditions. Automatrics customer Daniel he and the local police are doing their best to help support the in find operation the £14K stolen digger.

Once again our apologies for the lack of uploads, we have had some issues with Automatrics owned copy-write content being stolen, but hopefully this is resolved to enable a backlog of operational video uploads to recommence shortly.

took me 35 minutes to notice the notification...
Need a sub-250g drone for rural searchs. Be quick and easy to get eyes on or rule out large areas.
Add an RF antenna, Ardupilot controller and a clever homing pattern and you can locate the tracker in no time.
It starts getting expensive as it’s for commercial use what needs insurance, CAA registration and the person to be certified to what ever class
Just use any drone, iv never heard of the police weighing a drone 😂
or you just fly your personal one during your 30 minute tea break and happen to notice a stolen vehicle....

The police are merely a crime recording service now. Investigation is a thing of the past.

Yep, but he can't publish them before a successful prosecution, as it would prejudice the case against the thieves.
He explains the reason in the description.

I get the police are not the quickest in the uk but doesn’t take 3 years to prosecute a digger theft it’s not a double murder

Look at some of their older videos, they did in fact partner with a TV show for a few episodes IIRC.

Why, TV is dead. TH-cam is the biggest media platform in the world.
Another great find. Sadly the thieves get away with these thefts or if caught, just get a slap on the wrist. No deterrent.

I have 2 automatrics trackers on plant here in SW France . Richard said if they ever go missing he will fly out , hire a car and find them for me. 5 star service !!

One of my favourite channels & it’s good to hear there may be more in the pipeline. I’ve been re-watching some older ones & still laughed at the second watching of the one with the stolen sets of temporary traffic lights. Now, where can that second set be?? 😮🚦🚦

Back in the 1970s I worked for a plant hire company in that area, mostly driving JCBs. The boss had us paint different parts of each machine and photograph the marks. Two machines were stolen and found in a yard in S Wales. Signage had been removed and vin numbers changed but the dabs of paint behind panels etc. were still there and a conviction was made on the evidence.
Seems you had adopted a useful early identification system. These days machines are mostly identified with CESAR markings, this to help recognise stolen kit and rightful ownership, it was also thought this would deter machine equipment theft, but alas that element has not proven to be a great success.
So...
...you've had a machine stolen once & recovered thanks to the tracker.
Then the tracking company reminds you several times the battery on the tracker needs recharging but you don't get it recharged because, reasons.
Then the machine is stolen again.
I'm scratching my head as to the reasoning used by some people.
Looking forward to see the next recovery!!
