So here is a bit of footage from a single vehicle RTC on the M6 nr J14, all occupants involved were thank fully ok, but the vehicle on the other hand is a bit worse for the wear!
Although our customer was great and he was very optimistic it would NOT be a write off!
In insurance even a dent on some cars will write them off now a days!
Working again in a LIVE LANE on the beautiful (m6 smart motorway) ...

You need to swap the chest CA for a headcam. There's far too much feet and floor closeups

Im sure the footage would be great, but probably makes the job harder also?
@@jackoboy333 I follow a lot of American truckers and recovery channels and they all wear the gopro on their head. It give more of a first person view. A more real experience and you see more.
Probably would make us viewers sea-sick with rapid movements.

Couldn’t agree more about the car being a insurance write off , end up in a salvage yard , when I seen the state of the wheel always amazes me how you manage to get them on the recovery truck , I’m sitting saying to myself how’s he going to get that one loaded , keep up the good work love your videos it’s a thumbs up from me 👍🏻
I've seen cars repaired to new with damage like this. The only concern is the scratch marks over the door and rear quarter. Front wing and wheel/arm suspension can be replaced. Plus no airbag deployment. Probably £2000 repair if not written off by insurance. But by no means scraped the car, unless high mileage

Atleast the highway wombles seemed ok this time,think that's a write off looking at the damage and considering its a merc the interior didn't look in great condition either tbh,great job greg👍

That was good of you to put the roller under the bent wheel not only does it make the job easier but also causes less damage to the car I’ve seen videos where they just use the wench to drag the cars scrapping along the floor all your jobs are very professional

What an absolute waste of resources, 3 police cars, highways and what on earth was an ambulance called for, all fit and healthy.... wtf....
Ive been in head ons, flip overs, cars completely destroyed and no ambulance.....

Agree on the fact there was 3 police vehicles, only really the need for 1 imo.

I was always told by my dad as I was growing up a red light stops nothing and it’s so right doesn’t matter what shape it is. It’s not going to physically stop anything. BRING BACK THE HARD SHOULDER!!!

Highways England ought to face criminal charges on all accidents including deaths on smart motorways . They are very very dangerous I had blow out on driver side front . Tyre and after i wrestled with my 3 .5 tons truck which was a nightmare . And then pulled over i was in that live lane for 20 mins before any one came . And an hgv artic missed me by inches as he came trundling south down the m5 between droitwich turn noth and south . 4 live bloody lanes never want to be in that situation again ever .. absolute dangerous full stop .😮😮😮😮

@@macca696 well other than trying to change the wheel. And praying and nearly pooping myself. Had to step back and could not do the job . Police come and took offence at me , gave me cussing. Then they sod off . And motorway traffic officials came .escorted me 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile with flat tyre and bent rings to one of those safety layby was told me he couldn't help me but watched my back while I changed the wheel . Bloody scary very scary to say the least .then got off at droitwich south off m5 to the A 38 north bound. Never ever want to be in that situation ever ever again. The blow out at 60 mph was bad enough. What a bloody night mare . Not knowing what was on my inside or driving side as you suddenly thrown into chaos suddenly struggling to control the vehicle as I was in lane 2 of a 4 lane live motor way. Going into lane 3 then back to 2 wrestled with the vehicle and hoping you not hit any thing or they hit you. . Gradually what seemed eternity getting into what I thought was the hard shoulder. Wasnt . I came to rest in lane 1 of tha m5 southbound . Just after passing the droitwich turn off an article nearly took me out and my vehicle having just stopped by about 3 minutes. He saw me and swerved to miss me he was 30 36 feet from my rear as he swerved. To miss me . Sorry for the long write up But you did ask . .... as I've just writen I'm shaking now just thinking about the ordeal . Smart motorways need to be banned full stop . To many people have died already. Ken.
There is one driving law in America that I really think should be brought in everywhere. The Move Over Law… drivers must give at least one lanes gap between them and any emergency services / motorway workers stopped with the flashing beacons on. If they can’t physically move over they must be 30mph under the speed limit. It’s stupid how fast and close some people pass guys like you working on a motorway.

Sure, just a bit of T-cut and she will buff out, right? Yeah, sadly that defiantly would be beyond cost for the insurance to repair in a garage back to original spec BUT there is nowt like optimism xD
Almost zero inner thread left on the Merc tyre recovered, that will be checked by Insurance

I hope the Police charged them for that disgusting tyre. That could have easily been a fatal accident.

i thought for a minute you were going to accidentally film a convoy passing - another escort passed at about 13:00
Might of happend due to the tyre having a cut on it and the driver never bothered to get it changed 😂 as stated on the mot
When was this filmed? Only asking as no insurance and road tax ran out September last year 😳

Insurance never want to fix anything, so wasteful.
Don’t suggest it’s a waste. Insurance will sell it on and someone will repair it if legally allowed. If not the parts will be used.
Not much call for parts these days. All my local breakers yards have closed.

Arthur tussik would have this repaired in a week he is the most famouse in Europe he does £200,000 pound cars that have rolled 4 times on a AUTOBAHN amazing guy ,well known in Europe 2 million veivs .

just a suggestion, think a headcam would give a better view if am honest.. loving the raw vids though, i just found i was looking a bit lower then preferred

I would've used the skate on the axel and not the wheel so you wouldn't have to use the jack again and why did you park that far

Why did the driver keep walking off with the keys for the Merc?

Live lane next to you is ridiculous . should have closed it further back to allow a sterile work area free from drafts. Should be mandatory.

Yea, it's good but we end up fiddling around to turn it down especially on earphone, and that's disrupting to people liking it. Maybe only 1:100 skip out of watching but you'd probably get even better TH-cam stats with the volume of that clip cut back a few decibels.

Definition need some training how to recover damaged car off the motorway haven't got the time or patient to explain needs to spend some time with a experienced recovery guy.
