Someone else may have said it already, but Mordin will only sing to himself if he sang to you in ME2. It was a touching gesture from Bioware to make sure that subtle change was included. Mordin is saying goodbye to the player.
So, out of all of these, Jack's death is the most cruel. Having her tortured by Cerberus again, watching her students die to be brainwashed into killing her only friends. That's....disturbing
You...big...stupid...jellyfish! That was too funny! On a second note, Shepard is NEVER even remotely bothered by anyone's death in the ME series. He truly is a machine.
At first, I didn't know she would that, when it happened, he had the option to save her and didn't take it... I was so shook, it's just the worst thing to witness after shepard killing Mordin (How he throws the gun was heartbreaking)
I stopped playing ME3 on the spot when Tali died and played through the entire trilogy again to keep both her and legion alive since I was using a save from ME2 but no ME1.
Mordin's desperate crawl to the console after being shot by Shepherd fucking kills me inside man. Not even gonna lie I straight cry every time I see it.
I dont want to spoil anything but, during Grunt's loyalty mission, you need to do it in a specific way, so he can live in ME3, that means killing the last creature during the rite.
Oresti Cakuli You don't have to kill the last creature, merely outlast it. As long as you complete Grunt's mission, he will be loyal and will survive in ME3 (as long as you didn't get him killed in the suicide mission).
The death that impacted me the most was legions because he sacrificed himself for his people and peace. Also with the music added and him referring to himself as "I"
For me Thane had the saddest death while in the hospital, as you pray with his son. That kind of hit home (even though I've never experienced that) but it was something that could happen. A sick friend
I remember when I first saw grunt sacrifice himself I got really sad because his character development was very well done (plus I love the krogan) then as soon as I thought he died he came out of the cave bloodied up and badly hurt but alive then I felt sooooo god damn happy. It was a feeling i could never replicate.
They accidentaly might do it but after seeing Mordin crawling trying to cure the genophage if they didn't load previous save we should find and shoot them in the back for the good of humanity :))
The part where Joker is shown desperately trying to outrun the beam always breaks me. That terrified look on his precious face and then seeing him being thrown forward by an explosion. Fuck.
I was crying for like 90% of this. It has the feels, and all of these squad members feel like family, and it's so hard to watch them go. :( But nonetheless, thank you for making this. It is well executed and respectable. :)
Mordin's death scene, both of them, were incredibly sad to me (The renegade version was sadder though). Same with Thane's. Both of them were my favorite characters from the series. Watching them die was...it hit me hard.
Never an option for me, I always make peace between the Geth and Quarians. Plus it's a nice way of telling the Reapers/Starchild to go screw themselves about their whole "synthetics and organics can never coexist without green space magic" b.s.

Expand power (Flopped, got spaced in ME2), Join Cerberus and use their resources to stop collectors and GET HARBINGER's and REAPER ATTENTION (and respect).
Prevent Krogan expansion by killing Mordin, Idiot Wreave follows Shep blindly, Allow Samara to die and prevent a retaliation from her after the reaper war (justicars are always a threat), USE REAPER Attention/respect to get the choices. Use CONTROL option to become a NEW REAPER....Eternal. Infinite. Immortal. aka GALACTIC DICTATOR....muahahahah! Shep had us from the start!
Saren and the Illusive Man would be proud.
He played us like a damn fiddle
Well now I can't get the thought of Shepherd doing a Eobard Thawne " IT WAS ME " face now lol.
No, Tali's is way worse. Bioware hated her.
I find it ironic that Joker, a fragile cripple, can't die no matter what Shepard chooses.
(Unless you choose the Refusal ending)
He dies in the worst destroy ending
Everyone on the Normandy dies in the worst possible Destroy ending. Joker is one of the few with the least deaths
Dude, the worst moment for me was Tali's; "Yes... yes it does..."
I know it's old but what does Legion mean here? What unit?
@@marekperlinski1033 Legion refers himself as "This unit"
Some missions ago, he asks that same question to Tali, but with no response whatsoever
@@alfredogordillo9302 thanks for the explanation 😁
You...big...stupid...jellyfish! That was too funny! On a second note, Shepard is NEVER even remotely bothered by anyone's death in the ME series. He truly is a machine.
jacob the only one who cheats on you also one of the only characters you cant kill.....
(not talking about the second game just in the third)
heh...heh...heh...
I had to skip Tali's death to avoid a heart attack.. >_>
At first, I didn't know she would that, when it happened, he had the option to save her and didn't take it... I was so shook, it's just the worst thing to witness after shepard killing Mordin (How he throws the gun was heartbreaking)
Woah, Jack's death is dark
can you tell me why she dies ?
@@unedfadhila8187 If you don’t do the Grissom academy mission she dies.
@@unedfadhila8187 yes, if you don’t do the Academy mission Cerberus captures her and turns her into a Phantom
anyone else cry with the geth and tali part
Had to stop plying for a few hours, and yes... I cried. :( Damn good story telling
Yep, I skipped to it by accident trying to find the Jack one.
mordin crawling trying to cure the genophage got me sobbing
Every time I see that part. I chose the Tali lives ending on my playthrough, but all three endings are so perfectly done.
no they really aren't.
Shepard killed the entire galaxy with that old ending. lol
Im pretty sure this Shepard was secretly working for Reapers :DDD
I stopped playing ME3 on the spot when Tali died and played through the entire trilogy again to keep both her and legion alive since I was using a save from ME2 but no ME1.
You’re a good man, and you made the right choice
I did this also.
Lol I restarded my playthrough when I had went out of ammo playing as Soldier in a Citadel DLC
Just use save editor
the one with grunt gave me the feels thank god he survived in my game
yeah...and I fought my ass off...
"heh heh heh"
*watches video and becomes sad*
I don't know what i expected.
Mordin's desperate crawl to the console after being shot by Shepherd fucking kills me inside man. Not even gonna lie I straight cry every time I see it.
I tried to do an evil playthrough once
*I couldn't do it I felt too bad and I had to reload*
Pause at 7:03 - The face of a brave Salarian who finaly forgave himself for his work on the Genophage.
Kirrahe's "now get him" made me laugh-frown. Poor guy.
R.I.P. Mordin.
I saved the Rachni Queen and Grunt lived.
Well, that was depressing.
The death that impacted me the most was legions because he sacrificed himself for his people and peace. Also with the music added and him referring to himself as "I"
God, I would be reduced to a blubbering mess if I watched this whole thing.
Anyone.....have something to eat?
Wrex's shotgun changed from the claymore to the gaal spike thrower
Shooting moridin? Thats Fucked. His death was so sad. That scenario would have taken away a lot of what the series was about.
I cried watching and playing with Grunt, his death is something that hurts me to this day, same as Legion and Tali...
Anyone Shepard that kills Mordin has no soul.
Miss Mitzi indeed
They accidentaly might do it but after seeing Mordin crawling trying to cure the genophage if they didn't load previous save we should find and shoot them in the back for the good of humanity :))
Mitzi Lee it was a renegade play through! I had no choice!
It’s a video game. Chill.
Mordin's, and Thane's deaths are such tear jerkers. :(
I love how almost all of these deaths have a way to really kick me right in the feels. ;~;
The part where Joker is shown desperately trying to outrun the beam always breaks me. That terrified look on his precious face and then seeing him being thrown forward by an explosion. Fuck.
Fuck man...jack and the Grissome kids get turned into Phantoms? That's...god...I have no words.
I really need to stop cutting onions up in the kitchen for my sammich while watching youtube videos.
"You... big... stupid... jellyfish.."
So the red relay blast killed everyone in the galaxy?..thats a bummer
Nah, that's just if you didn't have enough support points when you start the final battle.
No, the red blast is for the destroy ending and it kills all synthetics. So that means EDI and legion die
Brian if you have enough war assets Shepard survives
Chaz Hagen oh yeah, either way he would be dead...sadly :(
Rip Thane,Kaiden,Anderson and LeigionAnderson s death hurt me the most
It took efforts to actually made all these happen
The scene with Kaidan/Ashley just proves that he’s the better character honestly
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better, my biggest regret choosing Ashley over Kaidan..
Ashley is the ONLY crew member i killed/let die. She was ANNOYING as crap on Mars!
I was crying for like 90% of this. It has the feels, and all of these squad members feel like family, and it's so hard to watch them go. :(
But nonetheless, thank you for making this. It is well executed and respectable. :)
Man, you can FEEL the crunch that Bioware were under with Kasumi's death. fucking EA... 18 months for a game this size was a fucking absurd deadline.
Mordin's death scene, both of them, were incredibly sad to me (The renegade version was sadder though). Same with Thane's. Both of them were my favorite characters from the series. Watching them die was...it hit me hard.
man, that last one was...idk,very depressing and messed up
what i mean of messed up:
like, imagine if humanity ends like that...
yeah,messed up,right?
Yeah, there is no point in continuing me3 if tali dies.
I never ever choose that
Never an option for me, I always make peace between the Geth and Quarians. Plus it's a nice way of telling the Reapers/Starchild to go screw themselves about their whole "synthetics and organics can never coexist without green space magic" b.s.
Wtf why do people die from single gun shots? I'm pretty sure they have shields or barriers. Ah well.
Probably they ready to die
This video literally RIPS my hearth from my chest and stabs it with an omni blade... multiple times... Especially Tali's suicide and betraying Mordin...
Everyone in these comments sad that mordin died but im here crying about legion. That boy was the best character in the series
Does this unit have a soul?
@@avasti3866 yes... yes it does.
@@galaxis9947 😥 don't make me cry dude
Uh Zaeed and Cortez can die too in ME3? Didn't know
How? 🤭
@@victoriasharpe1661 Cortez dies if you don't talk him into going to the Citadel and dealing with the loss of his husband. He gets shot down by the harvester on earth when you try to take down that Hades canon.
@@nicobruin8618 and apparently, my Tali and Garrus fecking died because he did.
Killing Mordin, it's just too cruel.
I'm really glad they took out those squadmate deaths near the end. I couldn't even handle seeing Garrus and Liara's bodies just lying there in the video.
I swear to god, whoever decided it was a good idea to make tali cry is a sick bastard.
I concur...... Tali crying, broke my heart.
Aaaaaaaaand this is why I can only do Paragon playthroughs.
Anderson dying made me cry like a bitch
Yeah it was really sad...but dont worry, its not the real anderson
+Spidey Silver yes it is
nope, just a representation of the paragon branche
Nope, can’t stand Tali dying. Nope nope nope nope nope
I "Noped" out of that one too.
Kaiden sounds like Carth Onasi. Same voice actor?
Yes. Same one.
if you saw what he looks like irl your view will be shattered.
Jennifer Hale - Female Shepard is Bastila Shan. Wrap your head around that
interesting. they were both the worse squad mates in their respective franchises
James Hetfield You take that back I love Carth
First time seeing most of these deaths as a primarily Paragon/Charm player. The deaths of the companions Shepard betrays are just BRUTAL.
What ever happened to shields? I remember in ME1 some guy whipped a pistol at Shepard and shot him in the face only for it to harmlessly bounce off his shields. Now ME3 apparently nobody has them.
Well, they not have them turned on 24/7 remember how Saren's assassin shot Tali, but yeah me3 have this problem
@@grinvich.76 Thanks for the reply almost a decade later.
@@Stostri Always glad to help
Anyone else think Anderson is standing like he's shit in his pants at the end of the game?
I was just thinking about a Mass Effect Convention but what would it be like? Everybody would be in tears for days just because somebody tossed the words "Mordin", "Legion" or "Tali's suicide".
And this vid exactly shows me why I always go paragon and save everyone ^^
Even when doing my Renegade playthrough I didn't kill anyone. Couldn't bear it, you know.
Even though "It's just a game", I still find that there are some lines I can't bring myself to cross.
