the players weapons as well as the rest of the team have super guns and never fail to make the shot its called a plot weapon they cant fail the same as plot armor on things like main chars and ships of heros

I personally think it’s because she got shafted from actually working with Shepard. I have a theory that Lawson was put in Shepard team because she brought them back, thinking they would be more comfortable around them rather than some jo-smo they’ve never met. She loses her chance to play hero with the hero of the citadel, so the second she finds a clone, she wakes them up, tries to kill the original so no one asks questions. When that doesn’t work, she believes she can get out of a situation that would absolutely get everyone in her shoes killed, because she believes she’s that damn good. But no, she’s not 😂.

One could say because there's no gun powder and that the delivery method is identical only the outcome differs in terms of spread, penetration, distance etc etc, but in reality it's because after EA stuck it's hand in BioWare's ass everything was rushed and done halfassedly. There's plenty of examples through this whole dlc of rushing. I'd be rushing too if my fans were so pissed off about the ending of my story that i'd be forced to back track and release an alternate ending.
Shotguns have a spread, they first advertised you dont have to be a crackshot to hit your target. Everyone else were elites and aiming before firing, so weapon type didn't really matter.

More than likely they had ample time to handcraft whatever they wanted in stuff like this cause I can’t find any other problems. It’s also pretty likely that it’s fixed in legendary edition, since it’s a minor and easy to fix mistake
